Heading over to Morrigan's. [Completed]
Character(s): Axel, Daath, Morrigan.
Content: Axel goes to her mansion.
Setting: Morrigan's mansion.
Time: Noonish.
Warnings: None, yet.
After his little discovery, Axel came down from the cathedral with a relatively blank expression. He didn't say anything, nothing at all, even if Daath might question where exactly this Zexion they had intended to fetch was. He simply did not wish to address the subject. His mind already raced with other things – it was amazing how neurotic Axel could be sometimes.
Wordlessly, or at least on his half, they trekked through the streets all through the morning, heading some miles away to Morrigan's mansion, idly observing the denizens of the city who seemed to bustle a bit more than usual. She had not even told him the location of it – he had been a member of the Organization, once, after all – but seemed to be in such a hurry this minute detail was simply disregarded or forgotten.
He stepped up to the old house, and stared up at it quietly, thoughtfully, for a few moments. By now, his hood had been replaced back onto his head – it was broad daylight now and he'd of been a fool to do anything else – and giving a glance backward momentarily to Daath as if to make sure he was present, he headed up the lengthy steps that led to the mansion's front doors afterward.
After such, he knocked on the door, and awaited Morrigan, or at least one of her new servants (he knew her better than to think she wouldn't have acquired some of those already), to answer the door. If they were too slow, he'd simply let himself in...

So he just waited, glancing idly around the front of the mansion in vague curiosity, glad that this gave him an excuse not to attempt conversation with him. As much as he was reluctant to say something that could upset him, he also childishly wanted to force Axel to make the next move this time, if at all. It seemed pretty pointless to do anything if it meant he'd just be rebuked after all.

"If you would be so kind. I'm almost done here."
The blonde-haired man nodded without saying another word as exited Morrigan's room, or one of them at least.
No longer an innocent civilian of Paixao, he was now a faithful servant of the resident succubus. But he wasn't alone, oh no, there were others too, all taken right from the streets just like he was. It was all very simple, really. Show them a little skin, a little touch here, a grab there... That's all it took for them to fall prey to her charms. And once 'prepared' she helped herself to a portion of their souls. A sufficient amount to leave them alive, but without their free will.
The result? Their sole purpose now was to obey and serve their new master without question.
But of course, what would a new role in life be if they didn't look the part? Gone were the old rags they dressed in, and in their place, was your typical outfit fit for a butler. The little beard they had was also gone, and their long and spikey hair was now neatly trimmed and combed back.
Maybe this was more of a blessing than a curse, but they would never the chance to know.
He made his way through the mansion and into the Foyer, where the main doors stood closed. Once opened, he spotted them: two hooded men wearing the same black outfit. Anybody smart enough could tell that these two weren't your average visitors. But sadly, the butler was incapable of coming up with such thoughts.
"Welcome to Aensland Mansion. This way, please." he said to them, heading back into the Foyer.

He nodded, and gaze Daath one glance - then moved after the butler.
His eyes scaled the place slowly. It was beautiful... there was a lot of room. It would be an excellent place for Daath to practice his skills. Yes... this little friendship he was forming with Morrigan was indeed becoming more and more useful by the moment.

He finally let his gaze wander towards Axel, checking the red-haired man for further direction. None seemed to be forthcoming, so he let his mind begin to wander. There wasn't really much else to do after all.

The butler gave a bow and retreated up the stairs that led to the 2nd floor of the mansion. Making his way through the halls, he was once again inside Morrigan's room, where she was still putting on the finishing touches on her outfit (http://cursedwave.lickthepavement.com/RP/morrhome.jpg). (wings not present, everything else is the same, art not mine)
"Everything is ready mistress. They await your presence."
"I know that." Putting down the black comb she was brushing her hair with, Morrigan turned around and glared at the butler. "Don't rush me, I hate it."
"I wasn’t-" The butler tried to respond, but was interrupted by the very woman he served.
"Silence! Do you want me to finish what I started?" she replied, her voice sounding louder and more irritated now than before.
"N-No! Please don't! I'm sorry, please... forgive me!"
With her anger apparent, the butler was now trembling more and more with each passing moment. Him and the others knew all too well that their lives were in her hands now. If she felt like it, they’d all be sent away to the room that was going to be used as a ‘dungeon’. It was there that anybody unfortunate enough would meet a rather slow and painful death from Morrigan. On the other hand; the constant fear of death was the key factor in them wanting to strive for excellence in order to ensure that their mistress remained happy and pleased.
At least, that's what Morrigan told them and like children, they believed every single word.
But then from out of nowhere, she started laughing at him. He was confused, but didn't dare ask what was going on.
"Haha don't worry, I just teasing." She went over to the man and gave him a pat on the shoulders and a smile. "Loosen up a bit or you might die from all that stress. Now then, be a doll and escort me to them, won't you?"
"Y-Yes... as you command."
The two went back to the foyer and walked down the stairs, stopping right where Axel and his friend was.
"Hello there Axel, it’s so good to see you again." Very good indeed. She was already thinking of all the fun she’d have. Her sight then focused on the other hooded man who was with him.
"Ah, so he must be the one I’ve heard so much about. Daath, right? Nice to meet you. Friends of Axel are always welcome here."

Axel smiled underneath his hood, and reached up slowly with one hand - grasping the back of Daath's hood and tugging it down to reveal the boy's face. Glancing to the side, his head bowed slightly so he could get a look at his expression after he had done so.
"Say hello to my good friend Morrigan."
His hand then moved to his own hood, and with both of them, he eased that back as well, revealing the mass of flaming red spikes that shifted back into place after being forced down by the article of clothing. Immediately after, his arm curled to his stomach and he gave the lady a bow - if Daath didn't mimic him, his free hand would reach up and give the boy a rather rough tap on the back to do the same.
no subject
Yeah. Something like that.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance at last," he lied smoothly, keeping his voice as pleasant as possible while his mind boiled over with murderous thoughts. Those could wait until later, but for now... now he had to at least pretend to respect her. Until Axel left the room, he would play the role of the perfectly well-behaved pet and not bare his fangs at her. He could wait.
no subject
"Likewise." she responded, smiling at him still. She would have to have to have some fun with Daath, just to see how much he could 'handle'. But not just yet. First, she had to play hostess.
"Well then, I suppose the two of you would like to be given a little tour of my newly acquired mansion. I'm afraid it's still in the process of being redecorated, so things may look a bit sloppy here and there."
no subject
Still, he smiled to her as he stood up straight, and shook his head. "Don't worry about it, the end justifies the means, as they say." A hand extended, gesturing for her to continue. "Please go on. Show us your wonderful estate. I'm curious to see if it will be as lovely as you?"
no subject
He didn't really trust himself to speak at the moment, so he simply nodded in agreement with Axel's words. Mustn't displease him by bursting into laughter.

Beginning from the foyer, she took them around the entire first floor of the mansion. Right through a couple of rooms that had been emptied out of their previous contents, a large kitchen that seemed to have more knives and cutting utensils than actual food, and of course, a lavishly decorated bedroom. Through the trip, they passed by several windows all of which were closed shut. The trio also walked past doors that were kept under locks and thick chains. Morrigan made no mention at all to these and continued on as if they weren't even there.
The tour eventually took them to a large patio. There was a table and a couple of chairs near them and the side walls were all adorned with various plants and vegetation while a stone path in the center led to a still-functioning fountain in the middle and the rest being mostly vacant. "And here we have the lovely courtyard. It's a bit too plain for my tastes, but I'll be taking care of that soon."
no subject
"Nice. Very nice." Axel eyed around the courtyard once they stopped there. This would make an excellent area to train - that was his immediate thought. A small grin cracked onto his face.
"We will make good use of this," he said quietly. "I hope you don't mind, but Daath needs to do a bit of... ah... exercizing. This open space would be perfect for him. You see, he's only a rookie; he doesn't even know what he's capable of yet."
As he said that, he gave a look around for the said boy, and grinned foxishly, reaching out to give him a bit of a pat on the back.
no subject
While the idea of training here did appeal to him, it was a significantly less attractive option for what it really meant. He was a rookie, and just wasn't skilled enough to meet the demands set before him. Disappointing... but, he noted with some satisfaction, he was going to get a chance to prove himself at last.
no subject
With that, Morrigan led the two of them back into the mansion and up to the 2nd floor where the tour continued. Eventually, they stopped in front of a large door. She stopped, faced her guests and spoke to them. "And this, dear Axel, shall be your room. Do you want to go have a look inside now?"
[OOC: You can describe it, if you want. :x]

When she led him to his room, he quirked a short brow at the unnecessarily tall door. A smile broke on his face again, however, and he looked back to her. "Thank you. I think I'd like to." And before he could ask, Axel stepped around here, and reached out a gloved hand and turned the knob on it, gently urging the door open.
As expected, it was gorgeous. Axel was too indifferent to the entire situation to be impressed, but he did a good job of making it seem like that, as displayed by the look of wonderment on his face. He eyed around at the huge bay windows, the king-sized bed, the elaborate dressers and tables and mirrors... it really was beautiful, he had to admit, although as a Nobody he could not, unfortunately, accurately appreciate it.
"Thank you," he said again, looking over his shoulder at the two. "You can show Daath his room now, if you like. We won't begin training just yet. Perhaps you two could have a bit of fun on your own?" he suggested, with a slight wink.
no subject
He glanced at the interior of Axel's room briefly, a slight smile reappearing on his face as he looked around it before disappearing as he turned back to Morrigan. He had a feeling he wouldn't like whatever "fun" she had in mind one bit, but it wasn't like he really had a choice in the matter... perhaps he could find some way to keep their conversation relatively short. Unlikely, but he didn't think snapping at her would prove to be in any way productive.
no subject
Not really. With Axel staying behind, her main motivation for being there was also quickly fading away. If anything, she would've left the menial task of showing Daath to his quarters to one of her servants while she'd be on her way to other things, like supervising the reconstruction of the mansion.
But that would be making it way too easy for Daath. Wouldn't it? Besides, she'd finally be able have some 'alone time' with him, and there were a couple that Morrigan wanted to know about his current relation ship with Axel.
"Well then, I hope you enjoy settling in your room here. I'll see you later then, I suppose." Morrigan nodded to Axel and smiled before turning to Kadaj and facing him. "And you... Shall we go on? I'll even hold your hand to make sure you don't get lost."
no subject
Now. He had some... business to attend to. Nothing vital - but with the recent events, Axel just really wanted to get away from everyone and everything that was familiar to him. He sighed softly, giving a slow glance around the room, and then the large panes of glass that made up the big bay windows on the opposite side of his room. He headed over to them, stared out them a moment - and then suddenly disappeared.
no subject
In any case, he didn't have to worry about upsetting him now. A smirk slowly appeared on his features as he looked away from the now-closed door and turned to face Morrigan, standing up a little straighter. Sure, he wouldn't be able to completely deviate from the roll of a perfect guest, but he wasn't as obligated to follow it.
"You don't need to hold my hand, Morrigan-- I'm sure you're perfectly capable of leading me on your own." He smiled charmingly at her again, adding almost as an afterthought, "Unless you think you can't manage me without Axel around?"
no subject
Morrigan began to circle Daath with the smile on her face not fading in the least. "I know how to 'handle' each and every one of you. Your dreams and desires, it doesn't take me long at all to figure them out."
When she stopped circling him, Morrigan was close enough that she could whisper in his ear. "And I bet I can find out yours in even less time, seeing as how you're his main squeeze and all. Although I have wonder what exactly what exactly he sees in you... But enough about that..."
Patting Daath on the shoulder, she walked away from him and Axel's room. "Let's head on over to your room now, yes? You must be mortified that you won't be able to sleep in the same room as Axel. Don't worry though, his bed should be big enough for the three of us. And there's always my room."
no subject
Deciding to ignore that possibility for now, he went on. "I wouldn't presume to go knocking on your door anyway. You must have a very full schedule, what with redecorating your mansion and all. That and entertaining your guests... I don't envy your position."
There, he was being polite... sort of. Mostly. She was just too successful at needling him, but as long as he kept the prospect of Axel's anger in his mind, he'd be able to be at least somewhat civil towards her. Too bad she wasn't bound by similar restraints, but at least he could claim some kind of moral high ground. For now.
