o-h-m-y-g-o-d i am o-n-f-i-r-e

Character(s): kairi and sora, then namine after the dilemma.
Content: kairi tries on her new clothes { DX } and makes some food while sora goes out to wash his clothes. afterwards, namine comes in and chills with the rest of them and they talk about their plans.
Setting: actua are hotel, in the middle of paixao
Time: saturday morning
Warnings: it's kairi, sora, and namine. expect some kind of retarded moment. but as of yet, none.

gah, kairi didn't want to wake up. rolling over, she turned her back towards the sleeping namine, who was currently dreaming behind her. what the blonde haired girl was dreaming about, kairi didn't know .. but she sure was curious. she was always interested in other people. at any rate, when the first rays of light touched her eyelids, she let out a soft moan, followed by an annoyed sigh. might as well get up .. besides. she wanted to take a shower and change into these new clothes that dumb and dumber riku and sora had gotten her. she literally rolled out of the bed, landing with a thunk on the floor. looking up towards sora's bed .. she noticed it was empty. blinking, she instantly jumped up, fear filling her -- until she found a note stating that the keyblade master himself had gone out to wash his clothes. shrugging, kairi simply flung the note over her shoulder.

now, to shower. looking around the room, she quickly spotted the bag of clothing that was just simply lying in the corner of the room .. and she yoinked at it quickly, looking at the sleeping namine for one more second before heading off to the bathroom. a few moments later she was turning on the hot water and stripping off her clothes. unlike sora, she quickly moved to lock the door once she was naked, and stepped into the warm water.

after about 26 or so minutes, she stepped out and grabbed at a towel, drying herself off the best she could before moving towards the bag of clothing. reaching into it, she pulled out a dress that she thought might be hers { it was pinker. or atleast, she thought it was .. } and was a tad shorter than the otherone. shrugging, she noticed something .. red.

pulling out, she blinked .. and suddenly froze, the red thong falling from her hands, and onto the floor, her face frozen in a look of pure shock and terror.

what.

the.

hell.

had they really gotten such a thing for her?! " god, what do they think of me?! " the copper haired girl squeaked .. talking to herself. her face was practically as red as the underwear, but .. ugh. what could she do? letting out a small sob, she reached down and picked up the aforementioned thong. with a shudder, she quickly slid the thing on .. and stood there for a moment .. literally twitching. ugh, it was annoying .. she quickly picked at her butt, trying to make it more comfortable .. but .. bah, she'd get used to it. she then realized that she had no bra .. and looked down. it had been a while since sora last saw her .. so .. it was understandable. last time they had seen eachother, she had been younger .. and .. well, flatter. but now, she was a lady, and had filled out! she was proud of this .. seeing as selphie had complained over and over about how she was still flat when kairi had gotten her first bra --

..

moving on.

she quickly slid the dress on, still annoyed with the thong .. but paid no mind .. and moved towards the kitchen. she might as well make some breakfast for her two friends, right? after all, it was the least they could do .. what with helping her get out of the jungle and all. humming a happy song to herself, she looked towards the fridge -- wondering if they would have anything. blinking, she found .. nothing. so she would simply have to call downstairs.

------

10 or so minutes later, the people had brought up what she had asked ; a bunch of ingredients to make pancakes with! and so, the little chef got started, making the batter and heating the stove .. and soon enough, she was pouring batter into the pan, waiting for them to cook before she could flip them over. " this is fun~ "

Walking back from his manly things and laundry unit, Sora was good to go - all sparkly clean with clean clothes too! However, his muttering wasn't. Foul language escaping those lips as he snapped his journal closed and dropped it back into his pocket.

Damn that Riku! He came in the night and then left, AGAIN!

The brunette took a moment to apologize to his mother despite her absence - out of habit - once he realized his behavior, and quieted as he reached their hotel room door.

Then Paused. Thinking.

What was he going to tell Kairi? 'Sorry um.. gotta go find Riku, AGAIN.' and 'Yea.. but don't worry, gonna drop you off like luggage at gramp's house! Some friend I am, huh?'

Ugh.

Sora thumped his head in the door once, hoping that would give him some new senses of what to do now... Ugh.. last night. Dream aside, Riku had been here! And didn't even take the time to eat his steak! And to top it off, left him the munny!!!! How the hell was his friend going to survive now?!

"IDIOT!!!!"

Quickly, the teen covered his mouth. Ah, louder than expected, but it was good to let off steam, no? Guh.

He slid his card key in the door to unlock it and stepped in before causing some commotion, and decided it was best to stay quiet now not to wake the girls -- However, a strange, sweet smell caught the keyblade wielder's attention, and let his stomach lure him to the kitchen where Kairi was already up and...

...Cooking? She could do that?! Wow.

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-18 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Typical guy, really. Never noticing the dress. But what Sora DID notice, was that hot, sweet smell of his favorite breakfast being made. Mmm, the browning pancake already looked so good - so good in fact, that it chased away all momentary problems.

"I didn't know you could cook!"

This made him smile as he rubbed his belly, reminding himself of Pooh as it was all rumbly for honey - on pancakes.

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-18 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. Now Sora just felt guilty from that comment, knowing he'd have to leave her again soon.

"I'm... Sorry."

And left it at that, sighing as blue eyes searched the floor for somekind of 'easy button' to help him out. None, haha of course, life was just a bunch of minigames that LOVED to twist The Keyblade Master up good.

"Yea -- Oh." It only just dawned on Sora now about the dress, a small smile forming as he looked up to it. "Do you like it?"

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-22 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Sora had hoped she didn't know, Namine either in this case as well. He wanted to be able to at least tell them in some convincing gentle manner. It was for the best, really. Like much before, he'd told Kairi when leaving her to fight Ansem: "You'll weigh me down, ya know?"

Something in the sort.. The brunette's memory was a little fuzzy with Riku popping in his brain again suddenly when remembering the goal of that fight. Jerk.

Aaaanyway, ah, she liked the dress, good. That at least smacked a smile onto his face! ...Or well, did until the twirl and the flash of.....

It was like the plague, a horrible attack of the biggest blush ever known in Sora Land.

"Oh.. Y-you.. Uh.. Well.. Y-yea." Never mind, He'd just go sit riiiiiight over there.

"So um... Did you sleep well?"

It was a good attempt at dishing that feeling again, and more-less a distraction to forget those two, round, soft...

No. No. No. NO!

...

...Hey, why wasn't she wearing any underwear anyway?

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Ack! He was blushing?!!?!

Sora's hands immediately shot up to his hot cheeks, which seemed to only grow hotter by the moment as soon as Kairi came along and looked at him like that. What she said, however, basically shot The Keyblade Wielder through the head.

"W-what?! NO!"

He couldn't really tell her it was actually because somehow she flashed him her ass, could he?

No. He couldn't. Which is why the moron decided to try and skillfully evade the moment, and just blurt out with all the brains of a cheese stick to change the topic:

"Riku ditched us!"

Ah yes. That might have worked. Sora's anger was back simply stating it, which in itself, was a success.

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
"I... don't know."

Sora's thinking patterns were somewhere along the same line as Kairi's - the whole team thing. It didn't make sense to the male teen either. Ah, but he didn't want Kairi Sad!

"Um, but hey, We'll--" Before the brunette had time to correct himself however, something past Kairi caught his attention - and suddenly, his eyes shot wide, finger snapping up to point while letting out a shriek in all of its pubescent voice-cracking glory. "KAIRI! THE FOOD!!"

Or more like, the fire which combusted FROM the food - or from that oven mit which seemed too close to the fire, Sora wasn't sure which, just knew fires were bad.

And those 'Only you can prevent forest fires!' commercials with that bear that always scared him as a child abruptly rushed back into mind, sending the boy rushing to put it out.

"AH! WATER!! --OR AIR! WIND!"

Bad idea.

But Sora swung the pan anyway, almost shaking it in full circles as panic alarms went off in his head.

So alarmed, he also failed to see the burning food fly far enough to land into the pristine white curtains of the patio door.

Oh if it could, Smokey the bear would probably be crying now.

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually what flew past Kairi's head was THE flaming pancake, but perhaps it was all the same to anyone freaking about fire.

The pan seemed all clear now as Sora panted at it, and dropping it in the sink, the teen could only freeze as he heard another large puff of combustion. When he twirled around almost immediately, it was to see Kairi backing up from the most amazing, blazing inferno that would put a camp fire soaked in gasoline to shame.

"KAIRI! WHAT--?!" Did you do Sora never finished, his voice a cracking fest. It seemed they had both forgot another aspect that was burning, the thing that started this all - the burning mit, which was crispling happily on the stove still.

And when Sora's eyes darted to it, he decided there and then that this was his toughest battle yet - tougher than the heartless, as fire JUST WOULDN'T DIE.

Even after all this, the brunette still had naïve hopes they wouldn't wake the still sleeping girl in the other room as he attacked it with another Tarzan shriek.

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Well wind had worked the first time, yea? Why was it suddenly just spreading as he swung his jacket at it?

Luckily Kairi pulled the idiot back, and at that same exact time, the most ear piercing squeaking of a sound buzzed from the ceiling.

It made Sora cringe as he turned and clung to Kairi to protect her...

...From water.

Which came pelting down from little shower-head-like things from the ceiling.

"..."

He stood there, amid the flames. Naminé could hear the crackle as the fires burned, and the smell--the smell was unbearable. It threatened to swallow her up, suffocate her.

She knew what he had come for. "Leave her alone!" she yelled, before quickly covering her mouth as the smoke--no, the flames--crawled down her throat and clouded her eyes. There was only red and in that red there was only him. Axel.

"Leave her alone! ...instead, me instead!" It would be a worthy sacrifice. Her life in exchange for Kairi's. She sank into the ground as the fires rose. This was... all right. For Kairi...

Naminé woke with a start. She wiped the sweat off her forehead. Just a bad dream. But then, why could she still smell the burning? She shoved off her covers as she heard shouting coming from the other room. The burning, the screams... her dream was coming true!

She ran out the door into the next room, only to be pelted with water from above. "What was...?" she asked as she looked up at the ceiling. The fire was still smoldering, but the water seemed to be doing its work.

Looking over and Kairi and Sora huddled together, Naminé didn't even know where to begin. At least it wasn’t Axel. She pushed the now-wet hair out of her face. "Umm... good morning?"

Dhur.

Well, at least the fire was going out. Never mind Sora being wet again, and everyone else too - which made him turn to Naminé, a sheepish smile curving those boyish lips as a nervous laugh escaped them.

"We didn't... Wake you, did we?"

Sometimes, Sora was a moron. Other times, a brat. Using his brain was only optional, facts always stated he used his heart instead.

However, as his mind suddenly snapped into realization of something, this could have been one of the rare occasion the teen actually did use his brain.

Right now it was telling him to run.

Sure. The nice innocent Sora had an irresponsible streak sometimes, that's what being a teenage boy was all about, right?

"Ack! Quick! Let's get our things before they come and whip us up or something!" He panicked, rushing off to grab hold of their coats and first Aid Kit in the bathroom.

This also could have been something he learnt from Riku; Leech and run. Jerk.

I Lolled

[identity profile] namine.livejournal.com 2006-04-25 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Ahh, no, not at all," Naminé told Sora, though they had, in fact, been the ones to wake her. But considering what she had been dreaming of, she was rather glad they had done so, even if it was by unconventional means.

Sora did have a good point there. They would be in a lot of trouble if they stayed there. And trouble was just about the last thing they wanted, since that would lead to exposure. They couldn't risk getting discovered, not with Kairi...

"Hold on!" Naminé ran into the room she had been sleeping in and grabbed her sketchbook and journal. She stared at her sketchbook for a long moment, debating whether or not she should throw it in with the dying fire. In the end she just hugged it even tighter to her chest. She couldn't let it go; she wasn't strong enough for that. Besides, it wouldn't put an end to anything. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before leaving the room. It wouldn't end just with that...

"Sorry!" she called out to Kairi and Sora, "I'm ready."

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-25 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
After having come back from the bathroom, he'd thrown the coats at the girls, his own already on - which had resulted in pulling the wet spikes down in the process, now making the chestnut strands comically look droopy.

"Okay, so..."

Ouch. How DID they get out unnoticed?

Giving a quick look out back, Sora immediately decided jumping out would be a bad idea, as they were a couple floors up. But they had to hurry!

"Um.." He bit his lip nervously, fidgeting to figure this one out. Maybe today really was a good day for Sora's brain, as not too long into it, the brunette's face suddenly lit up. "The stairs!"

Yes! The Stairs, people always used the elevators right? Who used Stairs when there was an emergency freak out fire in one of your hotel rooms? Exactly!

Pushing passed Kairi to the door with the First Aid kit in hand, he paused to throw the hotel card on the floor - they'd be wanting it back - before opening it up and giving the hallway a-- Shit.

Questioning faces from other rooms were already peeking his way. They had to make it quick!

"Okay! On three, stairs are a little ways to the right... Ready?"

[identity profile] namine.livejournal.com 2006-04-26 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Naminé fumbled with the coat as it was thrown at her. She quickly put it on as Sora went to open the door. She peered over Sora's shoulder at the people gathering in the hallway. Well, that wasn't good at all. Especially since it wouldn't take long to realize that all the troubles had originated from their room. Their wet appearance wasn't exactly helping in that area either.

"Okay! On three, stairs are a little ways to the right... Ready?"

She nodded, taking this as the signal to go. She ran out into the hallway and past the people now gathering there. "Excuse me! I'm sorry, excuse me..." she said to people as she pushed past them. All she had to do was get to the stairwell before the people there had time to realize what was going on...

And that was when she realized Sora hadn't counted to three yet.

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-27 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
It happened faster than the teen's mind could reel in, and before he knew it, Naminé was gone and himself tugged by his crush- Err.. Kairi, before he could even call the blond girl's name.

"Ah wait! Which way did she go?! We just passed the stairs!"

Indeed, they were headed near the elevators now - which looked pleasing and faster on second thought, but they couldn't leave Naminé!

"Naminé!" Sora called out, thoroughly confused at this point if the girl even did make it to the stairs or not, he hadn't seen a thing once the little blond had pushed passed the crowd. "Maybe she's already ahead of us in the stairs?"

The brunette tugged Kairi back, never once letting go of her hand as he made it through more gathering people and finally opened the big heavy doors to the stairway.

"Naminé?!"

[identity profile] namine.livejournal.com 2006-04-27 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
By the time Naminé realized she had gone ahead of the other two, she had already reached the door to the stairs. She turned back, but didn't see Sora or Kairi anywhere, and the crowd was only continuing to grow as people stumbled out of their rooms in confusion.

She bit her lip and tried to think. Should she go back and try to find them? They were probably back at the room. Yes, that must have been it! She plunged into the crowd again, desperately trying to make her way through. She made it back to the room short of breath, but when she peeked into the doorway her spirits sank. They were no longer there.

She was such an idiot! They must have gone out to find her after she ran out on her own. So stupid. Naminé let her forehead rest against the doorframe with a thunk, at a loss as to what to do next. What if they hadn't gone looking for her, but had just decided to leave without her? It wouldn't be that surprising... after all Sora had to protect Kairi, now that they had made a huge scene. But, would Kairi leave her? She had done it once before...

[ ooc: Naminé gets lost. D: I'll have her head to the stairs in the next post if Kairi and Sora don't find her. ]

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-27 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
She hadn't answered in the stairs either, and now panic was starting to unsettle the brunette as well. "Where could.."

And then Kairi spotted her, Sora's sky blue eyes immediately darting to where his friend had been pointing - and instantly, he bolted, hand still locked tightly with Kairi's. No way was he letting her or Naminé go, he'd vowed to keep them safe.

"Naminé!" Sora called again, this time zeroing in on said girl. "Gotcha!"

Free hand catching Naminé's, The Keyblade Wielder didn't stop, tugging instead the blond into running too. Screw the U turn for the stairs - there were other elevators at the other end too, they could catch a fast one and be out in no time... At least, he hoped.

"Just hold on! Almost there!"

The trio must have looked quite the silly quacks, joined at the hands and running like Godzilla was back in town; Bible camp gone wrong, anyone?

[identity profile] namine.livejournal.com 2006-04-27 10:43 am (UTC)(link)
Naminé had already turned around when she heard her name being called. She hadn't been forgotten after all. She felt the tears well up in her eyes, but had no time to let them fall as Sora grabbed her hand and propelled her forward. She clutched her sketchbook and journal tightly in her other hand and tried to keep up.

Wait, they weren't heading for the stairs. Where were they going now? "Where... are we... going?" Naminé gasped out between breaths. She had wanted to tell them she was sorry for running off, but even just asking where they were going took too much breath. She would save it for another time.

[identity profile] keynote.livejournal.com 2006-04-27 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Ignoring the girls and their questions for now, Sora only concentrated on dismembering his brain for desperate recollection, to attain certainty that this was really the right way.

But all was clarified as soon as they rounded the corner, and the unmistakable beep of an elevator door opening like a spoon full of chocolate to his sweet-craving ears.

"THERE!" The brunette's voice cracking almost screeched, and instantly sped up to make it before the doors closed, the people who'd occupied it last simply moving out of the way to eye the trio in confused wonder.

However, they saw no more or got the chance to even come to a conclusion as the doors finally closed, all three now safe inside, and no doubt panting; Sora sure was.

"Made... it...!" He gasped between breaths, giving the girls an accomplished smile before leaning back against the elevator wall to sigh. They were okay now!

...Just needing to press a button.

[identity profile] namine.livejournal.com 2006-04-28 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Naminé stumbled into the elevator after Sora. Well, that had been a rush. She leaned over to catch her breath. Ugh, cramp. Being confined to a room in the castle hadn't exactly helped prepare her for that.

"What now?" she asked, straightening, "I mean, are we just going to walk out through the lobby? It's just that, well, we're a little conspicuous." She fingered a lock of her wet hair as emphasis.

She could already sense another mad dash coming up...
