Ring around the rosy, a pocket full of posies, ashes to ashes, we all fall down. [COMPLETED]
Character(s): Matsumoto Rangiku, Ichimaru Gin, Kurosaki Ichigo, Kuchiki Rukia, Zaraki Kenpachi, and anyone else at the Morem o Lisboa who might want to join in.
Content: Ran checks up on Gin, and quite possibly courts trouble. Ichigo having chatted with a certain Rukia through the network, decides to go downstairs to meet her at the lobby. Kenpachi, on the other hand, is enjoying the fact that is he is dry and indoors.
Setting: Morem o Lisboa [M4].
Time: Thursday really early morning.
Warnings: Gin, Kenpachi, Ichigo and Aizen -- in one room.
Ran set her hand against the wall and sighed softly, feeling fatigue slowly sinking in. The day had turned out longer than she had hoped, and the opportunity for some real shut-eye was still just beyond her reach.
She sluggishly descended down the steps, fully aware that she was going to check to see if he was still lingering outside. Halting for a moment, she wondered if it was even wise to actually sate her curiosity.
It was now nearing roughly three hours past midnight -- roughly three hours since she'd snuck him some leftovers. After their little encounter she'd slipped back into the hotel to distract the kitchen staff with a little bit of conversation as she pocketed half a loaf of bread and some hard-boiled eggs under the counter. She gone back out shortly, with the random excuse of having dropped something. The last thing she remembered was handing the edible items over to Gin before promptly heading back inside to see to her own comforts: a bath -- a long, warm one under the shower spray wherein -- no, she did not cry.
She set her hand on the handle and paused, attempting to convince herself that it would only be an empty alley way. Gin would be gone, as always, with only the shadows left behind.
Still.
It couldn't hurt to look.

She'd discreetly passed by Ichigo's room before she'd taken her bath upstairs. She wasn't quite sure where Zaraki was now or even then, but at the time the boy, Kurosaki, had been fiddling with his journal. She supposed the hotel manager had probably called on the captain to do soemthing or another which is why their room had been deserted.
With a sigh she looked Gin straight in the eye. "Is there anything else that you need?" She flicked her wrist, letting water droplets fall to the ground as she turned away. "Because if not, I'll have to apologize. I really can't help you anymore. I have responsibilities to keep Gin. So... goodnight." She stepped inside and closed the door.

His hand came up, almost as if trying to stop her from closing the door. No such luck. When he opened his eyes, all that greeted them was the stained wood grain of the shut door. Nice. So maybe this as how she felt when he had consistently left when they were younger. It made his heart sink somewhere into his stomach. It had only been about a day, but it looked like fate was turning everything back in his face. Gin guessed that Ran didn't want to make the same mistake with him again. Made sense.
Karma was a bitch.
The ex-captain stood for a few moments, torn between going after his friend, or to return to that little wooden shack. All that the wooden shack offered was a fitful night of half-sleep. Then again, he may end up in some serious trouble if he followed Ran. She had said that Kurosaki and Kenpachi-taicho were here. That did not bode well. But perhaps, if he played his cards right, he could make it work. Gin was extremely ready to fix the huge mistake he had made by following Aizen. They weren't going to believe him, he was sure, but he had to try. Either that or die in the process. As much as death was a scary prospect, it was better than this. Much better than this. And who knows, he may just be dreaming and his death may just be him waking up.
A slim hand pressed against the door, his forehead also leaning on the cold and soaked wood.
"Ran--I needa tell ya somethin'."

Sitting outside in the rain had been a bad, bad, bad idea, but it was useless now to contemplate over her not-so-well-thought-out actions. Gin was outside and closing the door on him wasn't going to make him go away. The baka was in Paixao, and it was justhis (and hers -- though she wasn't going to say that) bad luck that Zaraki and Kurosaki were too.
Thank God taicho isn't. Rangiku thought wryly, her breath a shudder when she expelled it. Glancing down at her soaked clothes, the shinigami sighed. After all that effort into calming herself with a good hot shower, she'd only gotten herself drenched all over again. Transferring her weight back to her feet and off the door, the Vice-Captain decided that it wouldbe best for her to head up to change (again) before coming back down to request for the inventory at the lobby.
Once she'd avoided paperwork entirely due to her dislike of the task. Right now, however, she figured the monotonous quality of tallying what was and what was not in stock would actually help her hands to stop their shaking.
Quietly she walked towards the service stairwell and concentrated on the thought of drier clothes.

A thin hand reached out towards the counter to balance himself, and to help the ex-captain gain a sense of his surroundings. Gin caught a glimpse of wavy blonde hair before it shifted out of sight. His steps picked up in speed, though he still tread lightly. Not that walking softy was very tough, his miniscule amount of body weight was actually useful in sneaking around. Opened green eyes saw the familiar blonde again, she was about an arms' length away. He just about reached his hand out to catch her by the shoulder when he heard a voice. A soft breath drew in.
The voice was gravely, teasing, familiar. No, not just one voice. One was softer.
Zaraki.
And surprisingly, Rukia.
((OOC: SORRY I TOOK SO LONG TO REPLY. T_T I got caught up in KHII (which I beat <3) and some English work. :< ))
