Tension (Active, Open)
Character(s): Teito and the 'mysterious creature'
Content: Another ambush
Setting: Around Muspelheim
Time: Evening, literally just after an mb post
Warnings: Blood, broken things
The beast came from no where. One second Teito was doing fine, the next a claw of some sort threw him against a wall and something had charged over to attack him again. This thing, whatever it was or where it came from was fast, despite its size. Certainly not something he ever fought before. It was rather strong too, even when Teito finally did create a shield he was still getting slammed around like a rag doll.
"This is as far as you will go!" blue runes suddenly circled around the beast's neck. It was enough to get it to stop, for now. Teito used the time to stand up again. He couldn't move or feel his left arm, something else felt wrong with the other on too ever since some gunk from the monster got on it, making it sort of a miracle he could even still conjure zaiphon right now. Although probably won't be able to for not much longer.
He really didn't want to kill it, but at the time, if he let go it'll surely go back to killing him instead. Though he was going to have to come up with a decision soon since his right arm was get worse and worse from whatever had covered it.
"Erk--" the hand was weakening and shaking. As a result the zaiphon was starting to fade too, giving the beast the freedom to continue its rampage. Once gone it made another growl and slashed Teito again, hitting him into the same wall previously, and then just stood there. It seemed to have no intention of continuing more, perhaps because its target was no longer moving.
Teito was just barely hanging on to consciousness, just enough to realize the creature was backing away and running into an alleyway. A strange reaction, why was all of the sudden running away? Not that Teito would complain, but.... wait a minute.
Someone... Was somebody there? Teito couldn't tell if he was maybe just imagining things from a concussion or looking at something differently because he was stuck on his side. But he could swear that it looked like someone was in the distance. What if the monster had decided to--
"... W.. wait..." Teito helplessly called out. In this state there wasn't anything he could do but he had to do something to save that person from that thing. It needed to be stopped before it went around hurting others. But how was he supposed to do that when he couldn't even save himself?
Just like how he couldn't even..... N-no, it couldn't be.
It couldn't.
That was not real.
Teito had to shut his eyes to prevent a warm liquid from getting in them. He could already guess it was blood out of the fact it wasn't the first time it's ever happened. However he did get himself badly roughed up this time, more so than usual. At least whenever he was sent out on missions there was usually somebody close by to get him to an infirmary. But here.. what was he supposed to do out here? Could hardly move, couldn't stand, he was.... useless.
And now, as Teito was starting to think, this was no where near being the first time it's ever happen.

While the post didn't sound like it was her, she couldn't just sit there and not check it out. Of course, she was disappointed when it became clear that unless the lion had found a way to shoot goo out of her mouth... it wasn't her. She was still worried about what this slime was though.
She was about to leave when she finally noticed someone lying on the ground. Guess that was the guy who was getting beaten up. She ran over to him, trying to stay away from the slime. "Hey! Wake up!" she said rather loudly.
This only took me forever orz
"... Who..?" Teito tried to lift himself up, kinda not the easiest when both limbs were out of commission. He also tried to squint at least one eye open to see who ever is was talking to him.... Didn't seem like anyone he knew, certainly didn't seem like the person from earlier.
As far as the slime went, there was certainly sploshes of it there in there. On most of the walls, on the ground (possibly making a trail of where the thing disappeared to), coating most the city rumble and left as evidence where the monster had and hadn't been. A few meters away from Teito though something kind of small stood out. Not stone or wood, but shiny. Metallic. Whatever it used to be was now busted into pieces however.

Shaking her hand off to try and regain feelings in her finger, she went back to the "victim" there. Whatever attacked the guy did a number on him. "Don't worry, I think it's gone," she said, remembering that she did learn that healing spell for a reason. HA! And that demon kid said it was useless.
It wasn't a powerful spell, but she managed to cast 'heal' on him a few times. Hopefully it would have some effect.

"Did you see where it went?" although it would be realistically impossible to chase after it now. Thanks to healing Teito was at least able to get himself into more of a sitting position to lean against the wall, but not without a lot of struggling from a broken arm and a slimed one. Pain was going to be a thing no matter what, but anything was an improvement over being sprawled on the floor and bleeding to death.

She was still shaking her hand, hoping she'll get some feelings back in her finger soon. "What the hell happened here? What did this?"

"It's certainly not anything I've seen before. But someone has to stop it."

"Look, someone will get to it soon enough but we need to get out of here in case it decides to come back to finish the job."
Easier said than done in this case.
