In an adventure with alternate universes [Open/Active]

Character(s): Pirate with a scarf, open to all
Content: New guy wonders around
Setting: The Muspelheim gate
Time: Midday
Warnings: Pirates?

The pirate was in complete shock as soon as he stepped through the gates. He was overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. The fact that he thinks he sees some actual gold and diamonds helps a bit. If he wasn't alone right now, he'd most likely be plundering some poor rich person's place at this vary moment.

"Pirate Captain, is this..." He looked around again. Right, he was alone now. He hoped that he could find them soon or that they weren't just outside. It would be a bit embarrassing to go all this way to have to go back to the ship.

However a part of him doubted that if they were here. Considering how rich this place seemed they would have been all over plundering it. He started to wonder if he hit his head on something while getting ready to go into this Paixao place and forgot where that is. He conveniently forgets that he didn't see the ship at all on his way in.

So he continues to wander around, trying to look as unpiratelike as he possibly could.

Unpiratelike or not, he wasn't the only one lurking near the gates. Although Ansem would gladly admit that he did still have people he was keeping an eye on, there was no sense in returning to speak with them again so soon. They certainly had interesting potential, but there was no need to press things as he had once before. Instead, he'd come down to see what could be made of the latest batch of new arrivals. Every heart had the potential to be of use and there was a new heart to be found in every arrival, to say nothing of the fact that it rather amused him to be seen as a friendly figure.

It was always easy to spot the newly-arrived, and Ansem wastes no time in approaching the pirate. "Looking for something?"

Although he had no way of knowing the pirate's thoughts, Ansem had no really affiliation with either the police or the navy. He certainly couldn't be said to be entirely trustworthy but he wasn't about to bring the pirate in on charges of anything even if he'd know about the other's actions. Instead, he simply nodded, acting every bit the helpful passer-by, if not entirely a perfectly concerned one.

"You might be surprised. Not everyone here arrives with their friends." Or their enemies, for that matter. He'd even heard that some people went months or longer without seeing a friendly face.

All the more reason, then, for him to attempt to offer what little help he could, in matters like these.

"Persistence will get you nowhere," Ansem chided, letting a tone of slight irritation color his voice. "If they are truly here than they are not immediately present."

It was possible they could be at one of the other gates of the city, but for now the pirate was quite alone. The city's habits were not nearly so all-encompassing as to be truly convenient. Not to mention that the pirate had not truly come of his own will and there were any number of reasons for his suddenly being alone.

"But perhaps it was time for you to come into your own?"
