To Our Surprise [Active]
Character(s): Terra and Ven
Content: Ventus and Terra are off to explore the Wonderland floor!
Setting: Wonderland
Time: Morning, lasting...awhile?
Warnings: DORKBROS???? Not much! Will be updated if needed.
It had been Ven's idea. Lately, it had been starting to hit him just how tired he was of sitting around and waiting for things to happen. He was happy to be here with Terra and Aqua - of course he was - but finding a way to get out was just as important as being with them! Not just for their sake, but for everyone who was trapped here. They were Keyblade wielders, and it was their responsibility to help.
So he was relieved when Terra agreed to explore the next floor with him. Ven could have gone by himself, sure, but it was much better to know that he'd have a friend around to help.
Maybe...they even could talk a little. If Ven could bring himself to ask the right questions.
Getting there wasn't hard, at least. All it took was some asking around to find out where the floor even was, and then a bit of hunting to reach the door. But here they were. Easy enough so far, right?
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Ven asked, looking at the door and then back at Terra with a smile on his face.

Terra was pretty sure nothing would attack them right away, but the point still stands.

"We've got everything, right? Plenty of potions, some snacks-" That last one was Ven's idea, though he was pretty sure Terra would thank him for it later. Then, in a flash of bright light, Ven's Keyblade appeared in his hand, and he holds it up to help make his next point.
"And it's not like we can forget these."
All in all, Ven was feeling pretty confident.

"Let's get a move on then."

And, indeed, it was.
He couldn't hold back a gasp of surprise when he stepped into the forest. Everything was so bright and colorful and...and huge!
"Woah. Look at those flowers!" Ven said, pointing to the incredibly tall blooms in the distance. "How did they get so big?"

Purple striped swirled from nothing, forming the silhouette of a cat. A shade of pink filled into the empty places between the stripes and with a twitch of the tail, a cat several times larger than Ven and Terra sat in front of them.
"What strange bugs you are," the cat said, lowering his huge head to grin down at the boys.

"We aren't bugs." Terra replied.

This whole situation seemed a little bit too familiar, though.
"Maybe we aren't bugs, but..." Ven paused, thinking for a moment. "But are we bug-sized?"
If they were...well, at least Ven had experienced being mouse-sized before. Bug-sized couldn't be much worse, right?

He seemed to find this particularly amusing as he began to laugh before launching into song once again, lifting one paw as if conducting his tuneless hum.
But then his head rolled back upright while his body stayed on his back. Staring at the two boys, his grin grew wider. "Regardless and forthwith, there are some insects in this forest you might be wary of. They snickersnack in the darkness and their eyes all glow up at you from the deep!"
Ack this is stupidly late DX
"Unversed?" Terra asked, summoning his Keyblade automatically.

That description sounded strangely familiar to Ventus, and it wasn't the Unversed he thought of. Hadn't Sora described something like that? What was it...?
"I'm not so sure." Ven summoned his own Keyblade, looking around for any disturbance.
...Heartless.
Was that it?
