Walking on Sunshine [Active/Closed]

Character(s): The Master, Yorda
Content: Running into each other, rom-com style. Grab your poppin' corn and see what happens!
Setting: Jountenheim's Streets
Time: Late afternoon, Week 40
Warnings: Nothing foreseeable!

Though the times had been as hectic as they had ever been, what with the battle against Ansem and the tension with Urd and the inexplicable experiences, The Master actually took the time to stroll. It was yet another thing he had decided to cross off his list of never-have's, on top of the week-long nap he took just recently.

The people that passed by The Master weren't sure whether it was the weather that was getting to him or he had eaten the wrong things or he was simply going through a psychotic state even creepier than his normal train of thought, but it made them uneasy and they seemed to part as he smiled through the streets and even paid a polite nod to some. It was the first time since he had been in Paixao that he crossed the street in broad daylight without the concealment of his hoodie. His boots even sounded lighter in his stride, typically clunky in his brooding gait.

There was little to hide for this Master. He had a new mindset, new goals, and a new feeling of refreshment. A good night's rest will do that for some, including a very determined Time Lord.

Yorda hadn't been out much ever since her return to the city proper. She'd withdrawn, terrified to talk to anyone about what had happened to her, especially after Ansem had spoken to her via the message boards. He was watching, and he didn't want her to talk about what had happened, anyway. It was just as well; the princess wasn't certain she wanted to talk about it, anyway.

But she couldn't hide away in the hospital forever. Her friends were already worried, and if she didn't at least try to get back to normal, how was she supposed to take care of them? Besides, Geoffrey seemed to have disappeared from the city, which had been most welcome (even though Yorda wouldn't admit it, if only for Mao's sake). So it was that Yorda decided to take a walk in the city. Despite the fact that she'd been taken from one of the other floors, the glowing girl couldn't help but feel nervous, and she was nothing but grateful to see the Master again, walking along. He seemed different, somehow, and Yorda managed an almost cheerful wave in his direction.

She wondered if he was hungry.

Yorda, having failed to get out of the way, had collapsed with a sort of squeak. She gratefully took the Master's hand, blinking at him; he was more distracted than she'd ever seen him. "Hello," she replied, tilting her head at him a bit. "Are you alright?" After the way he'd disappeared during her rescue, she'd been terribly worried about him, but even though she'd offered to go and see him, the princess hadn't managed to do so until now - and this was an accident.

Then again, there were worse things.

The Master was certainly acting strangely today. In fact, Yorda didn't quite know what to make of it. Still, he was in a good mood, and he didn't seem to have come to any harm, and so the princess let it be, at least for the moment. But why was he talking about fingers in such a manner? But the strange train of thought winding its way through Yorda's head came to a grinding halt at the question.

"I have done many rings," replied Yorda, blinking. It was true, too; she had healed the Master, fed him, listened to him and even made sure he would be alright - at least, as best as she could.
