Character(s): Colette Brunel and YOU! Multiple-threads are okay!
Content: Colette the clumsy waitress brings you food!
Setting: Jountenheim's Cheap Eats
Time: Lunchtime-afternoon, Week 40
Warnings: None yet!
Anybody who went to Jountenheim’s Cheap Eats today to have a bite to eat may get their clothes dirty.
Today was Colette’s first day as a waitress at the restaurant. She just went for a bite to eat and heard from some of the staff that the place was a little short of waiters. Considering the fact that she had no real lead on how to help everyone get out of Castle Oblivion and back home and that Zelos told her that it was okay to relax a little (although she still did worry about home to some extent) and because she was not the type to turn away from somebody in need, Colette agreed to help and so she was hired.
So far, however, she was exactly having a great day at work. The restaurant was surprisingly packed that day and she was having a problem remembering some of the right orders for the right tables. Not to mention that Colette was not exactly known for her balancing skills. Therefore, a few times, she actually had to go back to the kitchen and process the orders again, thanks to her occasionally tripping and spilling food over the place.
[Multi-thread logs allowed! Comment if you want Colette to spill wine/food all over you or break your glass or plate from her tripping over. Or if you just want her to serve the food or just talk with her, that’s also fine. Just ordering from her is cool as well. Whatever!]

Have at, collette! Just expect drama over here
At the least, she was happy they'd decided to sit down for lunch at all. Flandre hadn't said anything, but she'd started to notice with each day a growing pain in her stomach and throat, a strange thirst she couldn't quite quench. It hadn't really bothered her before, but now it was beginning to take its toll.
This is something she's still adamant to keep quiet about, however, and she keeps her eyes glued to the drink section of the menu.

She'd become irritable, anxious, and almost unceasingly thirsty. It worried him, because he wondered if she had become sick with something humans normally got. She also was getting tired more easily than normal... Usually she would be flying around checking things out and the past few days she had spent walking through the city.
He hoped that going somewhere out of the residence they were staying in would help. Having food that wasn't prepared by one of themselves. (He wasn't the best cook, unless he was making sweets.) And, this restaurant seemed inviting enough.
He made a decision and set down his menu, carefully watching the girl across from him and the people around them. Flandre's behavior change and the citizens were making him wary.

"Um, yes. I'll have a large glass of water." A beat. "And a slice of cake." with that said, she shifted her eyes away from their waitress, feigning interest in the surface texture of the table. It wasn't that the other things on the menu were unappealing to her-- on the contrary, any other day she would be brimming with curiosity at the strange cuisine-- however, at the moment the only thing she wanted was something to dampen her throat. The cake was simply a necessity, of course.

"I'll also have the cake, and tea, please." There were a couple of things that caught his eye, but he would try those later. First, he had to see if he could get some information from Flandre about just what was going on with her.
Sorry this is late!
Unfortunately, Colette somehow missed the dessert trolley right in front of her..
CRASH!
Cakes and dishes come flying out of the trolley, splatting and crashing on the floor. Some of them may land on your table or maybe even on your clothes instead!
naw you're fine ;D
Several wide-eyed gasps later, her eyes fall on Colette, and she growls, fists thrown straight to her sides in stift indignation. For a moment it doesn't even occur to her that the blond girl might have really only made a mistake, her mind still buzzing with anxious fatigue. If nothing else, what Flandre finally does settle on as the reason for the crash is how rude.

"Flandre..." He said calmly, reaching for a napkin to offer her to clean up what had hit her. "It seems to have been just an accident." H offered her the napkin in his hand, a smile on his face, ignoring all stares from the people around them.

"Oh, no....I did it again!"
The young Chosen then stood up, brushing cake off her apron and turned around to see the angry girl with wings facing her. "I-I'm sorry!" she cried. She was a little worried about the menacing look the girl on her face. Colette was perfectly capable of defending herself but she would rather avoid a fight, anyway. Besides, she could not blame the girl for feeling so angry when she herself should have looked where she was going, anyway!
omg I'm sorry Colette Flandre is a huge brat ;-;
Most of the tension drained from her shoulders and she took up the offered napkin, hands shaking as she delicately wiped the food from her hair and hat.
"An accident?" She grumbled, looking away from Colette. "If it was such an accident then why have an oaf waiting at all?" Anger cooling, she floated back down to the ground; folding the napkin in a triangle and setting it aside. Slowly, her red eyes slid back to Colette and moved past her-- stopping on a cake that had managed to stay intact a few inches from the girl's feet.
Flandre lifted her hand, what seemed like an electric charge building up in her palm, causing a similar force to appear on the cake, crackling wildly before BOOM! Her hand crushed into a fist and at the same instance the cake exploded, erupting frosting and pieces in a splattering mess.
A smile found her lips and she set herself back onto her seat calmly. For just a moment, she felt much better than she had in quite a few days.
I'm sorry this tag took me forever... Notif fail then muse fail, then mun fail...
What really worried him was, strangely, the cake exploding. Sure, she could fly...or float... however you want to put it, but he hadn't seen her do something like this before. The cake splattered everywhere, including on him, and he sighed before grabbing his napkin, again, and wiping off his face. He noticed her calming down after she sat down though, and gave her a look.
"Feeling better?"
Re: I'm sorry this tag took me forever... Notif fail then muse fail, then mun fail...
bonus points if she ends up falling on him eventually... as well as the food|D
He entered the building and took a look around, drinking in the atmosphere and nodding in approval. "I wonder if I seat myself... hmmm..." he leaned a head further in to see if there was anyone around. Otherwise, he was considering picking a booth on the quieter side.
I am so late for this. * sobs *
"Hello, may I take your order?"
no problem /o/

A few minutes later, Colette returned with a tray holding a delicious-looking slice of strawberry cake and a glass of water. "Here you are!" she said enthusiastically. All seemed to be going well..
Until she suddenly tripped and fell. Watch out, Guy. She's about to fall on top of you!
anything works for me :D
After a bit, he seemed to nod in decision, and then realized when he still hadn't caught the attention of a server (not that he blamed anyone, it was busy), he shot a hand up into the air with the intention of flagging someone down.

As Colette approached Zidane, she did notice his tail and could not help but be fascinated by it. She did not show it, though. It might make him uncomfortable.
"Sorry, I didn't see you!" she said, looking a little sheepish. She did not keep him waiting for his order, did she?

He looked back over the menu, tapping at it's edge. He had a good idea of what he was ordering, but he couldn't help but ask, "Anything you'd recommend?"

He's sure Dagger would appreciate it; if he went and grabbed something without her, he very well should bring something back to make up for it, after all.

Not long afterwards, you might be able to hear some crashing in the kitchen, followed by a man going, "YOU KLUTZ!" and Colette's voice crying out, "I'm sorry!"
Soom enough though, the Chosen came back with one cake on a plate and another in a bag. She looked incredibly worn-out.
"Um....here you go!" she said, quickly putting the plate and the bag down. Thankfully, she did not place the plate down forcefully and therefore splatter cake all over Zidane's face. It was rather amazing she did not, though.

"Thanks. Hey, someone giving you a tough time?" he asked, a bit worried. She looked like she could use a break. "Need me to go and soften 'em up for you?" He was all set to, too! No one should pick on cute girls. That just... went against rules!
Whatever rules those were.

Clearly getting a job never really occurred to Zidane.

"Oh - I'm actually from Sylvarant," she answered. "I actually in this city a few weeks ago. A friend of mine is here, too." And he's been here longer than I have, Colette thought to herself. I really need to find a way out of here for his sake as well as everyone else's.
no subject
"Sylvarant, huh? Never heard of it, but then there's a lot of other worlds people mention here. I'm from Gaia myself. I'm Zidane, by the way. Hope you don't get in trouble for talking to me." He peered towards the kitchen, as though daring anyone to come out and make a fuss.
no subject
"Oh....am I distracting you from your meal?" she then asked worriedly, completely misinterpreting what Zidane said about her getting into trouble.

Sorry this is late! ;_;
"Oh no, it's fine. It's not as hard as it looks. Heheh." Colette was not a bad liar but some of her falsehoods did tend to come with a giggle to convince others that nothing was wrong. Lloyd, who knew her since she was little, would tell her that she was fibbing on the spot. Whether or not Zidane would be able to tell...
No worries!
"Well, I'll make sure to leave you a good tip!" They'll have to keep her around then, huh? "Hey, I never got your name."

Just then, as Colette was about to answer, voices could be heard from the kitchen.
"Hey, did you notice that the kitchen's much cleaner than it used to be before Colette tripped over that bucket?"
"So it is. Well, I be...!"
Don't ask, Zidane. Just don't.

But the voices did give him something he could use. "So it's Colette, then?"
He laughed a bit and finished up his food, fishing a hand into his collection of "shiny things" from a pouch. He almost wanted to give the girl some of the gil he still had, but it really would probably just be a waste. Gil, leaves. The natives here didn't see any difference between the two.
He put a bunch on the table. "Thanks for the food, Colette. That should cover the bill and tip." He winked.
