The Doctor had always believed that making people dress up for something was a bit silly. Why not let them wear what they wanted? THat made things much more fun. Not that he wasn't going to be formally dressed - any excuse for a top hat, really - but that was hardly the point. "Of course it's going to be dangerous," he scoffed. "Anything worth doing is generally some shade of scary."

He nodded understandingly at Priere's excuses. He was a stranger, after all, and people hardly went about pouring out their problems to strangers. Except when they did. The Doctor seemed to get that a lot, at least. Still, best for the woman to do as she saw fit.
