Wrong Location [Complete]
Character(s): Selphie
Content: Selphie arrives, very confused.
Setting: Muspelheim Gate/Walking to one of the Actua Are hotels, towards Jutenheim area, I guess!
Time:Since everyone else's posts are for Saturday... Saturday.
Warnings: None :o.
One eye opened first, then the other. She stared, knowing something wasn't right. She brought herself to her feet and dusted off the backside of her dress, then lifted each foot up one by one to brush off her boots and stretch her legs. She slowly brought her hand to her chin and tapped her index finger onto her cheek, "This isn't quite where I'm s'posed to be, is it?" She said to no one in peticular, staring at the large fire surrounded gate. She blinked several times, wondering if that would clear up this funny picture. But, it didn't. The girl let her head tilt towards her left shoulder and thought for a moment, letting her eyes follow the flames.
'Well I can't quite sit out here all night!' She thought to herself, letting her eyes fall to the ground where her nunchaku lay. She knelt down to pick them up and clutched them tightly in her right hand, 'Better get inside! I'm sure someone can tell me what's goin' on!'
Everything inside looked really pretty. Selphie thought her eyes might fall right out of their sockets if she opened her eyes any wider, but she couldn't help it. It was as if she were in a very nice dream. She froze for a moment and dropped her nunchaku. She grinned and pinched herself on the arm, "Ouchie! Not a dream," she bent down to pick her nunchaku up and kept on walking. Selphie had no idea what she was looking for, perhaps a familiar face, a friend, a professor, anyone. But, no one familiar seemed to appear.
She let the chain of her nunchaku drag on the ground after her, watching everything in amazement. She was sure this had to be a dream, but it seemed that she was awake. She shrugged and decided not to worry about it until she found a place to stay.
'This place has gotta have hotels, I mean, why would it not?' She asked herself, 'It'd be a total bummer to have to sleep outside or something!'
Something in a store window caught her eye as she walked by. It was like a mini computer, like the ones she had in Trabia. She walked to the window and peered at the objects. She bit her lip and felt inside her back pocket. She still had her money pouch. A small smile appeared on her face as she walked into the shop to buy one of the cute computers. She pointed to the blue one and asked the person if she could have it. After paying for it, she continued on her mission for sleeping quarters.
After a while, it seemed as if she'd never find somewhere to stay. She sighed as she leaned against a building, wondering what she was supposed to do. Then she decided, the next person she saw, she would ask.

"Alright, that's it," Seifer said, his brow creased into a sour-looking expression as he looked down at Chii. He was talking rather loudly, and it was almost harded for Selphie not to overhear. "I don't care where you were planning on leading me. Or who is 'not helpful.' We've been walking around for almost an hour now, and I'm starving," he said in a no-nonsense tone.
Shifting his gunblade into a more comfortable position on his shoulder, Seifer glanced around for somewhere that looked like it might serve food. He totally disregarded anything Chii might have been saying, his full attention on taking in his surroundings for a moment. Once that was done and he was able to conclude that there were no restaurants very nearby, Seifer turned to Chii once again.
"Now, is there a restaurant anywhere CLOSEBY? Or can you even tell me that?"

"'Scuse me, mister!" She called, jogging slowly towards him, "Hiya!"
She slowed down when she got close to him and gave him a great big grin, "Which Garden are you from? I heard there are Gunblade Specialists in Balamb, so I'd assume your from there, but I can't say I know anything about Galbadia," She babbled.

This caused Seifer to pause. He hadn’t met a single person from his world in Paixao so far, and he had begun to think that he was the only one there. It took him off-guard, but less than a split later he had drawn himself up and was prepared to discuss the topic.
Er, brag.
“Balamb,” the blond confirmed with a haughty smirk. “I’m one of only two there,” he told her, gesturing proudly to his gunblade, “and the best one there.”
Seifer considered for a moment asking the girl which Garden she attended and such, as he had to admit that it was nice knowing someone else who knew what the hell he was talking about. Or, unlike Chii… could speak normally. But then Seifer didn’t really care that much… and figured that, as talkative as the girl was, she would probably tell him anyway. Whether he asked or not.

Selphie played with the chain of her nunchaku and peered up at him, "Say... You know where we are?" She tilted her head slightly to the right, "I was just about to leave for Balamb and I ended up here. I don't even know how. I mean, I guess this could be it... But..." she trailed off, not knowing what else to say, "I'm also looking for a place to stay, so if you can help that'd be really, really, nice, mister!"
She paused, the realized she never introduced herself, "Oh!" She smacked her left hand to her forehead lightly, "I forgot to introduce myself! Name's Selphie. Selphie Tilmitt. Pleased to meet ya!" She winked and grinned.

Just when Chii was going to exclaim that she has found the 'not helpful' person, however, Seifer came to stand in front of her and broke into a full-blown whine about how tired and hungry he is. Seifer seems to be very annoyed and so Chii bows her head and pouts. Now, is there a restaurant anywhere CLOSEBY? Or can you even tell me that?
She looks up at Seifer as that is what she must do when someone is talking to her to show that she is polite. Chii notices the brown-haired girl coming toward them because of Seifer's whining, and jumps up and down in glee as Seifer notices her too. "Chii found not helpful person! Chii helpful!"
Acting as the good companion she was made to be, she stands quietly at Seifer's side as the two people exchange greetings. Seifer seems to be pleased at how he has found Selphie, so maybe Seifer will forgive Chii for making him tired and hungry. I'm also looking for a place to stay, so if you can help that'd be really, really, nice, mister!
Her mechanical ears perking up at the mention of perhaps being helpful again, she softly tugs at Seifer's arm so that she would not disturb their conversation too much but still be able to give Seifer a hint that she would like to help. While the girl who introduced herself as Selphie is not her owner, Seifer seems to like her quite well as she is from the same place, so Chii wants to make Seifer proud for having a Chii by making Selphie see how great Chii is.

Looking down at the girl, Seifer's expression didn't change at all. Instead of asking what she wanted from her tugging, he distastefully said, "And how does this girl need help, exactly? I'm a gunblade specialist, not a mental doctor. I can't help her. She needs pills, or something."
Seifer was surrounded by two of the most odd and troublesome people in the entire city, he mused dryly to himself.

She glanced at the girl again and gave her a smile, "Did you wanna say something? Is this mean ol' man not letting you talk?" She looked up at Seifer and stuck her tongue out at him, then winked before turning back to Chii.
no subject
Then turning to Selphie, "Seifer is no 'mean ol' man'. Seifer very kind! Seifer make Chii go here help Selphie! Chii find a place to stay in this 'junkyard of a city' for Seifer, Chii find one for Selphie too!"
no subject
"Way to go, offering up my time," Seifer remarked sarcastically to Chii. It only bothered him mildly, as he didn't really want to help this girl and yet didn't really have anything else better to do. With an exaggerated sigh, he then turned to Selphie after a brief pause and, crossing him arms, asked, "Did you actually need something, or are you just lost? Because Chii here doesn't seem to know the difference, and I'm not wasting my time playing guide dog."

"I'm looking for a place to stay," Selphie nodded, "And you're looking for food right? We could look together, I'm pretty hungry!" She rubbed her stomach and nodded, "I'm sure we'll find something!"

I'm looking for a place to stay, And you're looking for food right? We could look together, I'm pretty hungry! I'm sure we'll find something! Selphie says while rubbing her stomach. "Seifer and Chii found a place to stay, not found food," Chii tries to explain to her, "Seifer not wasting time, Chii cannot help."
no subject
Then, shrugging, he seemed to reconsider the slightest bit and added, "Look, if you really want to follow me, I don't care. As long as you promise not to talk so much. But as soon as I find a place to eat that I can afford, I'm stopping."
And with that, the blond turned a bit and looked around, indicating that he was restarting his search and was no longer really listening to what either of his two companions had to say.
no subject
She frowned at the mention of a T-Rexaur, "Hey, Hey! Is it true that people get eaten and killed by the T-Rexaurs? I heard about it all the time back at Trabia!" She nodded.
"I promise to not talk as much!" Selphie said cheerfully and moved next to Chii so that she could follow Seifer to wherever he wanted to go.
no subject
Then turning to Seifer, "Chii will not talk, Chii just point," and with it she walks slowly to the direction she is pointing at while still pointing. Then she remembered that she should tell Seifer that she does not really need food, but she said she will not talk so kept her silence and kept walking.

She decided to not think anything of it, until later of course! For now, her current objectives were to eat up and cheer up the grumpy Seifer!
