Though he was certainly felt exhausted enough to think he could have slept a week or two, the surreal situation in was in kept him from being able to sleep like he would have liked to. He'd found himself drifting in and out, dreams filling the time between. He woke up several times entirely, only to then have trouble sleeping again, as the weight of what had happened to him sunk deeper in. Laharl was, of course, worried of what his mother and Flonne would have to say about this. At least Etna was gone--a fact his dreams didn't seem aware of. How easy he'd be to pick off now.

He kept hoping he'd wake up and find it had also been all a dream, but a touch to his ears kept proving otherwise.

Of course, it took awhile before it occurred to him that perhaps the reason he was struggling had to possibly do with that fact--he was essentially now human, and humans didn't really sleep like demons could, could they?

Laharl did then try to give up on sleeping and just get up for awhile, but he found himself too weak to pull himself from bed. He felt like his body was in some kind of shock--of course, it probably was. To have have his demon half sealed had certainly done a number on him. It seemed he'd be spending a good while longer in his bed.

It was more than just that though. His senses felt dull, his hearing less sharp, his power seemed entirely missing... nothing felt right. It was frightening--a fact he knew but was not about to admit to anyone. It wasn't so much in regards to himself as it was that he was worried about how he was meant to protect Flonne and his mother. He wouldn't be able to fend off an Organization member like this. Hell, he'd be lucky to manage to keep his throne like this. Good thing this wasn't really the Netherworld.

Still, it felt like it enough that Laharl knew they'd need to return to Paixao very soon. Staying here would not be a good plan. That would have to wait, however. For now he just curled up more in his coffin, huddled beneath a blanket--that was another reason why he'd found himself awake; feeling cold sucked.

It was strange, how little she'd seen of Laharl lately. Of course, Flonne was partly to blame, as she continued to wander back to Paixao now and again to meet more people and be sociable. But the last time she returned, she couldn't find a single trace of the Overlord. When she tried to pin down Vyers for any answers, he was elusive and somehow always found a way to change the subject. So now she was worried.

Worried enough to walk into Laharl's bedroom without permission. Worried enough to walk up to the coffin he slept in, even though he hated being disturbed -- assuming one could even wake him up, which was a challenge itself.

"Laharl-san...?" The honorific was tacked on in nervous habit, despite her having dropped it recently as she felt more comfortable around him. She was anything but comfortable now, nervous and worried as she was. What if he was sick? What if he wasn't even in there? What if something terrible had happened!?

She gasped as her imagination kicked into overdrive, no shortage of terrible scenarios playing in her head. Laharl was in danger! She ran the rest of the way to his coffin and flung herself inside, tears in her eyes.

"Laharl! Don't die!" she cried as she just about strangled him in her embrace.
