Continuing... her search.
Character: Zira and Scar
Setting: Somewhere around the city.
Content: Zira.. continuing her search for Scar and not in the best of shape.
Time: Sometime after her fight with Priere
Warnings: Zira and Scar.
Zira didn't know how much time passed since Kovu knocked her out, just that she was alone when she woke up. Everything hurt, especially her head as she slowly got to her feet. Damn that girl and talk that annoying cub! She would have had the girl if Kovu hadn't interfered!
Regardless, she slowly started to move again and made her way down an alley way. Time.. to continue her search for Scar. Now only if her head would stop hurting.

As he made his way toward the Niflheim gate to proceed toward the castle's other floors, he caught the scent of his mate--or, more specifically, the scent of her blood. What on earth had the brash lioness gotten herself into this time?
"I do hope you have a good reason for why I can smell your bleeding on the wind before I can smell you," he said softly, announcing his presence with quite the condescending tone.

"...A minor run in with someone annoying." She growled a little as she lowered her head a little. "I was looking for you. Now where the hell have you been?"
no subject
"Now tell me, who was this 'someone annoying?' I do hope it wasn't anyone I know..."

"If you were expecting me to apologize for my absence I'm afraid you're out of luck."
Zira should know full well how to treat Scar if she expected anything resembling sympathy from him, and he wasn't about to let himself become lax in his standards simply because she was his mate.

Zira moved closer to nuzzle against his mane. "I live for you, Scar."

"You can be of use to me by not getting yourself injured, for a start. But since you've already failed in that, obeying me and answering my questions would be an excellent follow-up."

She growled a little as claws dug into the ground slightly. One of these days she was going to end that woman! She would have today if it hadn't been for Kovu. "... And that traitor cub of mine."

The very idea of that brutish lion's existence offended Scar, particularly the way that Kovu had been acting for some time now over the journals. Feeling guilt over his parents' actions was simply foolish, but to blame Zira and Scar for his own insecurity? That was just pathetic.
The claw wounds on Zira's chest had gone deep. If she had taught him nothing else, he had at least become nearly as vicious as she was.

But, lately she was starting to get annoyed more and more with Kovu. She raised him to be a killer! Not some.. whiny cub. "Besides, you were the one that wouldn't accept Nuka as your heir. Kovu was the better choice."
no subject
He let that hang in the air.
"If you can't control your son, then kill him."

The Lioness wasn't so sure. She had raised the boy, yes. Did she actually care for him? Some small insignificant part of her maybe. Then there was the physical aspect. She had raised Kovu to be able to take down Simba. Did she have a chance against him?
Zira grumbled and leaned against her mate. If this was what Scar wanted, who was she to deny her king?
"I will try to get rid of him as soon as I am able to."
no subject
"I'd like to stop hearing about him sooner rather than later."
