Not even he quite understood if he was teasing, but the thought had gone through his head as he said it. Cogsworth had been there a few times before, but it sometimes resulted in being chased or some such horrible disaster that would just have to happen to Cogsworth, of all people. He felt like the butt-of-all-jokes character in plays, sometimes... But that was a silly thought and he would quite quickly get angry and forget all about it.
