An Overdue Reunion (Active/Closed)
Character(s): Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble
Content: Donna and Ten finally meet up again. It's been too long.
Setting: St. Destino's Church
Time: Sometime during Week 38
Warnings: Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey? Who knows.
She had stared at the screen of her journal when she figured out exactly who was involved in the stunt, before rubbing the bridge of her nose in disbelief. If she thought her Doctor was a bit zany, the one after him was completely insane. She wondered what could have happened for him to get this way...and even wondered what happened to make him change. Her Doctor had mentioned regeneration at one point, and that's what she guessed happened.
She found the Doctor she knew talking on the message, and after exchanging a few lines with him, she walked towards one of the glowing orbs in the hallway. He said he would meet her at the Church outside of the city, where that world ended and the others began. Using the orb, she ended up in another hallway, one that led into the Church. She walked in, looking around again, hoping to see the Doctor she recognized soon.

It had only taken him a moment to pop out of the TARDIS and around, into the church. It was proving to be a rather handy hiding place, although he was probably overdue to try to move the TARDIS again. Of course, that was easier said than done. He'd half pulled the console apart, trying to improve the scanners with what little power the TARDIS could muster. He was going to have to try to put things back together again. That could wait for now, however.
Spotting Donna as she made her appearance caused a grin spread across his features. It was definitely good to see her. "Allo Donna!" he called to her.

"Doctor!" She shouted, quickly walking across the church and grabbing him into a hug. It had been way too long since she'd seen the Doctor, and for a while she had been wondering if he was still around. "You're still alive...and not completely insane."
no subject
"Come again?" he asked.
no subject
"As for the insane...have you talked to your future self lately? I mean, what's wrong in his head?! Is he really thinking of marrying the TARDIS?" She started babbling a bit, before stopping to look at him. This was just like old times...
...minus the daleks, crazy aliens, and future insane humans.
But yeah, just like that.

Her next set of questions simply left him visibly cringing. "I really don't know--to both questions," he responded. "I mean, well, post-regeneration it's normal for me to be a bit off, but it's far too long past that for it to be an excuse. Though, I suppose it wouldn't be the first time I've had a version of myself that was a bit... unstable."
His sixth self was a good example of that, though certainly not the only example.

"Hmmm. Might want to think on that a bit. It seems you lost a few screws in that one." She thought for a moment... the other Doctor seemed to be a future self of the one she was used to. So, sometime, somewhere, this one left and the other one came to be. That was something she didn't want to focus on right then.
"So, what do we do now?"
no subject
He trailed off a moment, before quickly jumping to answering her question. "Right. WELL. That... is a very good question. Supposedly, according to me, there is some of purpose to this wedding. I have a plan, or rather, I will have a plan. I'm just, apparently, still working on it," the Doctor explained, making it very obvious he was not really enjoying playing second fiddle to his future self.
"Can't say I'm sure what sort of plan that would be, so think I might just come up with my own."
Not that he actually was sure what that would be either. While, certainly, his other self would certainly catch some attention with this whole wedding thing, he wasn't sure, yet, how to take advantage of it.
no subject
"You don't like taking the back seat to your future, do you? Getting to see the grand schemes that will come from you later on, hmmm?" A small part of her was enjoying this.
"So, what's your big plan? One of you needs to GET US OUT OF HERE! Oi."
no subject
It was many things, but certainly not grand, brilliant or fantastic.
"I will. Believe me, I will. I just don't have one YET. Although, to be honest, I'm starting to think maybe best to just play their game. Go up these floors of see what is actually at the top and play it by ear from there."
It wasn't really much of a plan, but he really didn't have much to work with. To say the Doctor was out of his element here was really rather an understatement.
no subject
"And how many floors do you think this place has?" She looked in the direction of the hallway she had been in earlier. "Oi, but can we at least walk, not run this time?"
