Quality Time [Active]
Character(s): Jenny and the eleventh Doctor.
Content: Jenny and the future version of her dad have some good, old-fashioned bonding time. Well, sort of.
Setting: The Pride Lands
Time: Afternoon, week 38.
Warnings: None.
It had been quite a walk to get there, but he'd made it. First, though, he'd had to make sure his TARDIS was safely concealed in the city - he didn't want the Master getting it, after all - and slip past the guards unnoticed. Frankly, that hand't gone very well, and he'd ended up in a long and winding conversation about the virtues of stardust in relation to archaic temporal engines just to confuse the guard enough to sneak out. Then it had been a long-ish walk to the church, where he had to remember which door gave him access to the Pride Lands. That had been easy, of course, with his memory. The next bit had been distinctly more difficult, what with unexpectedly turning into a zebra and all.
The Doctor cried out in surprise, stumbling and crashing into the ground, his ears pricking up in alarm. He slowly got to his feet (well hooves), knees wobbling as he tried to get used to the shift in weight. "Blimey," he said to himself, shaking his head, "Jenny must like it here." He grinned, then, as much as he was able to; he was a zebra! A zebra in the Pride Lands! This was just brilliant!
Laughing joyfully, the Time Lord-turned-zebra did his best to trot off in what he hoped was the direction of a decent watering hole.

As soon as she'd arrived, she quickly climbed up into the branches of a tree nearby in order to get a better view and keep an eye out for her father, her tail twitching in excitement.

Here's hoping he wouldn't be eaten, and that Jenny had some way of recognizing him when she got there. But near the hollow of his throat, there was an odd joining of stripes that may have looked a bit like a bow tie, if one was paying attention. The Doctor nervously scratched at the ground with a hoof as he waited for an answer.

"I can't believe it, you're actually a zebra. Who would have expected that?" She said with a chuckle. "And sorry, I didn't mean to just pass by you like that, dad. But I really didn't know you looked like here. So, what do you think? Being here is quite the experience, don't you think? I personally love it!"

"I dunno, but I really wasn't expecting this. I sort of thought I'd just be the same." Then again, he'd transformed a bit in Halloween Town, but nothing like this. "But you're right; this is brilliant! I love this place already."

"I have to admit, using four legs takes some getting used to, but once you've got it down, it just add to the fun of the place."

"I'm glad it's you, though. Can you imagine if I'd run into someone else like this?" He chuckled a little, shifting his weight to test his balance - no, wait, that was a terrible idea. And while he didn't mention it, he knew Scar, at least, was around, and he definitely didn't want to run into him.
