Flame On [Open/Active]
Character(s): Roy Mustang and anyone unfortunate enough to bump into him.
Content: Roy arrives in Paixao.
Setting: Muspelheim Gate and the surrounding area.
Time: Week 37
Warnings: Roy was just denied getting vengeance for his dead best friend which happens to be on the same day he's storming Central to overthrow the militaristic government and stop the total destruction of his country. He's not happy.
Colonel Roy Mustang walked out of the shadows and towards the battered Homunculus lying on the ground. “That’s one of my dearest subordinates you’re attacking.” He turned to look at Lieutenant Hawkeye…
And suddenly she wasn’t there. He looked back at where Envy had fallen, and he wasn’t there either. The Colonel also noticed he was no longer in the sewers underneath Central City. Instead, he suddenly found himself in a sunny field and only a few meters away from a huge dome structure.
“What the hell is going on?!” He had literally just blinked and suddenly found himself in a foreign location. That wasn’t possible!! Not only that, but he had his best friend’s killer finally cornered and on the ground! He had his chance for revenge sitting right there in front of him and now it was all gone!! Still blinded in his rage and thirst for vengeance, Mustang headed toward the entrance to the dome. There was a line of people waiting to get in, but he really didn’t give a damn about them. He shoved his way to the front of the line and confronted a man handing out…something to the people entering the domed city and grabbed him by the coat. He still had his ignition gloves on.
“What kind of sick joke is this?! Where am I?!” Two guards came running to defend the poor man Roy was assaulting. He didn’t seem too disturbed by what Mustang was doing to him. He just shoved one of the black rectangular things in Roy’s hand and said, “Welcome to Paixao.” An instant after that, and the two guards that came down had grabbed Roy by the shoulders and flung him off the man at the gate.
Roy was still seething, but even in his rage, he wouldn’t go so far as to let himself injure the innocent citizens of…where? Where the hell was Paixao? It sounded like it would be the name of a Xingese city, but the people here were definitely not of Xing.
Mind reeling, he staggered back and fell down on a nearby bench. His anger was quickly being replaced by confusion. None of the homunculi had the power to mess with other people’s minds, he was sure of it. Besides, everything seemed so real. He could feel the bench he was sitting on and the smell in the air was certainly not one anyone would find in a sewer.
Another thought entered his mind. If this was real; if he had really just suddenly appeared in a completely different location, then where was the Lieutenant? Had she been transported somewhere too, or was she still in the sewers with the homunculus? Or maybe Envy had been teleported as well? Or maybe not. Maybe they had been left behind. Shit. Would Hawkeye be alright dealing with Envy alone? Sure, he had taken a hell of a beating, but he wasn’t dead yet.
Roy rushed back out of the dome and looked around the area he had first appeared. There was no sign of anything that would take him back to where he once was. It was just an empty field. There weren’t any doors or rifts in time or space. Nothing.

Still, it was all sapped by the hot-headed new arrival.
"You have good posture, young man. Military, if I'm not mistaken," he openly posed, "Or it could be the uniform. I've been wrong before!" He giggled quietly while keeping his lean on the post, his gut jiggling like the grass blowing in the wind.

"Colonel Roy Mustang. You have some explanation for what's going on?" He better. Mustang didn't have the patience to go looking for the answers himself. Not now anyway.

The mention of a 'Fire Nation' certainly caught Roy's attention, though that wasn't the priority here. "Any information you have will be useful. Perhaps you can let me know how I was underneath Central in one moment, and here the next." His voice was still tense along with the rest of him. Then again, perhaps he couldn't be blamed for that. For all he knew, his men were now without him and still fighting around Central.

In this particular case however, he had indeed fallen asleep, so the whole people watching thing was actually not happening at the moment. That is, until a bit of a commotion outside the Muspelheim gate roused him from dozing. He blinked his eyes open, but by the time he sat up and looked around, things seemed to have been resolved, at least somewhat. Snow scratched his head, glancing around.
In a few minutes time, a man in uniform exited the gate again. He looked rather annoyed, which Snow could understand. If he was a new arrival, he was probably completely confused as to where he was. Ignoring the fact that he had already struck up a conversation with someone else, Snow got up and ambled over.
"Everything okay over here?" he asked.

"I was in the middle of an operation, and somehow I ended up here. I need to get back." His voice was full of impatience. Then again, the colonel wasn't very well known to have such a trait to begin with.

Not that Snow was a fan of their predicament himself, but he still hadn't found a way out. He had important things to do too, and knew how this other guy must have felt. "No one's found an exit yet."

"Do you know who's responsible for bringing us here in the first place?" Surly, the people who brought them here would know of a way to send them back. They better for their sake, at least. The Flame Alchemist wouldn't stand for such incompetence.
