Character(s): Zira, open
Content: Zira is wandering around the city looking for Scar.
Setting: Around the City
Time:  creeping in...evening
Warnings: Zira being Zira.

Where was he!? For the last couple of days, Scar had been missing. MISSING.  Zira was irritated. She needed to be by her mate's side and be there if he needed something. How the hell could she do that if she couldn't find her king!?

As the tawny lioness wandered the streets, she would pause and glare at anyone that got in her way, even growling as she passed someone that got too close to her. Zira was NOT in the mood to deal with some stinking two legged hyenas.

Round 2?

With the snow starting to clear up, there was no better time to finally get rid of her cabin fever. It seemed as if Priere wasn't the only one with that idea in mind, the streets were filled with people finally enjoying some time outside. At first she didn't mind, hey, crowds were nothing to be afraid of, but after a while even she was getting tired of being bumped into.

Holding back a few grumbles, she squeeze herself to the smaller streets, not completely deserted, but at least she could walk in peace here. She could have sworn she heard something growling in the crowd, but blame it on her lack of caring and the fact she had gotten used to all the animals talking around here, she paid it no mind.

I assumed the victim was female

That roar however, yeah, she heard that. She also didn't miss the sudden crowd shuffling towards her location, running away. Priere didn't even hesitate a second and almost dived her way through the crowd. "Please, let it just be Kovu on a bad day," she thought, suddenly being reminded of that dead woman a few months back.

Too bad luck wasn't on her side on that matter. Dammit, of course it had to be her again. She remembered that when people had asked her to describe the lion, she had pretty much blanked out on the details. Lions were lions after all, they all looked alike.

Right, she needed to kick herself for that later but for the moment, she had bigger fish to fry. "Get the hell away from her, you maniac!" she cried, whipping her weapon out, and mostly ignoring the remaining crowd who seemed to be hesitating on deciding who was currently more dangerous.

There had been a time where Priere might have re-considered their first meeting together. There was a time that maybe Priere could have, while not agreed with, at least understood that animals needed to hunt for food, and that maybe she could at least be somewhat pitiful.

Yeah... that look on her face? Whatever pity and understanding she could have gotten, it was gone. That lion was a menace that's for sure.

"A lucky day, yeah! Today's the day I'm going to stop you for good!" Honestly, she had no idea how she was going to follow through with that threat, but one thing at a time. She had nothing to fear about a lion and it looked like the poor person who nearly got her throat slashed was gone. Good, there was nothing to worry about.

She still remembered how the fight went last time. She was ready but didn't do anything yet. That's how lions fought, they simply pounced. And once she jumped, it was simple enough to evade.

Yes, that was exactly what she was waiting for, that lunge. Priere jumped out of the way, betting on the fact that the lion wouldn't be able to easily change trajectories once she started. At the same moment, she swung her baton sending out explosions near Zira. If only she could disorient her long enough to knock her out, she wouldn't have to worry about her jaw.

Sorry, for the really short tag.

With her confidence and cockiness building up after seeing her plan work, Priere didn't waste a single moment to launch herself after the lioness. She had every intention of catching up to her and delivering her right fist right in her face before she could completely recover. Time was of the essence here.

"Tch--"

Dammit... the stupid thing wasn't down yet. Priere had managed to jerk back quickly enough for the claws to simply graze her. It was a superficial wound at best, though some blood was already starting to stain her clothes. Years of training and beating up monsters and demons helped with that.

That said however, this made her attack rush stop as she slightly backed away to go on the defensive, her eyes burning with righteous fury. She really, really hated that lion.

Without letting Zira out of her sight, Priere began to mimic the circling, her only other movement being her grabbing her baton once more. Sure, it wasn't doing much, but at the very least, this would send the message that she wasn't going down easy.

"What the hell is your problem anyway?" She wasn't really expecting an answer, but damn, who the hell just randomly attacked people in the streets for no reason? Even the demons back home had more tact then this!

Priere momentary froze upon hearing that. Did... did Zira really say what she think she just said? "Your... 'mate' is missing? ... THAT'S IT!?!" She screamed out, assuming 'mate' in this case meant husband, which... meant someone actually married that psycho? Who ever she was looking for was probably as insane as she was.

"So what?! My brother disappeared and I didn't start randomly attacking people in the streets! That's no excuse! You think you're the only one who lost people here?!?" Honestly, she didn't know the circumstances, was he sent back home, did something happened to him? ... did he leave her? (She wouldn't be surprised honestly...)

"You're completely insane," she finally shouted as she rushed forwards, tossing her caution to the wind. She was tired to waiting for that damn lion to make a move anyway. She raised her baton over her shoulder, like a bat, well intended to shove it right in her face.

Oh how Zira was right... but not for the same reasons. Zira didn't really even deserve to get called insane, she was just a run-of-the-mill psychopath. 'Insane' was just easier and faster to say.

Fueled by anger and adrenaline, she simply cursed out loud as her baton missed the correct target, but didn't let anything stop her. She flinched as she got hit by the charge, but instead of backing down, she simply bit her lip trying to ignore the pain and twisted around, swinging her baton right at the lion again.

No! Priere wasn't going to let the lioness back down. She wanted to keep pressing on, to knock out that beast and... well she'd figure out what to do with her later.

But... just as she was about to hit again, her lack of caution caught up to her. She managed to stop her movement in time and drop her arm to protect herself, but the bite connected right in her elbow. She left out some horrible muffled out scream of pain this time. It was a good thing that the lioness decided to back down right after that, as she wouldn't have known how to let her go. Though, the yank after the bite didn't quite help with the pain. Her right arm was going to be completely useless now.

She backed off as well, clutching her arm and trying her hardest to focus on her enemy in front of her and not the pain. She needed to find something to stall this fight, even if it was just for a few moments.

Right... did she hear right before? "So...? He's still here?"

All Priere could do at this point was to jump out of the way, not even bothering for an attack. Luckily, the lioness seemed to be in pretty bad shape, so she could use it at her advantage. However, Priere was not in a good shape to counterattack, her arm useless and the pain starting to overwhelm her.

So of course the best plan of action was to taunt the big cat!

"Well maybe he would be with you if it wasn't for you being a complete psycho!" She screamed out in rage.

Yep, logical course of action.

Okay... maybe there had been a few flaws in her flawless plan there regarding... oh, pretty much everything. Really what the heck had she been thinking? She really had that knack to not think about things before she talked.

The roar snapped her out of it and she barely had time to throw herself out of the way, unceremoniously crashing into the floor, a few of her belongings falling out and scattering. Unknown to her, so did her communicator, which turned itself on with the impact.

"You're not really helping your case by trying to kill me!"

Priere protected herself with her good arm while trying to hold her legs close. Any normal human would have probably fallen unconscious by now, if not worse, but she wasn't just a normal person. She still had some fight left in her, and heck, her own pride wouldn't let her get defeated by an oversize kitty. That said, she wouldn't last very long at this point, if it wasn't for her training and the adrenaline... she'd be long knocked out.

Right as the lioness went for one more swing, Priere saw an opening. She pivoted slightly to her side to try and kick the lioness away.
