Looking Toward the Sun [Active]

Character(s): Flonne, Teito
Content: Flonne goes for a walk on her own now that the snow has cleared up
Setting: Random streets
Time: Mid-day
Warnings: None

Even fallen angels of love needed a little fresh air and alone time. After strings of nightmares and the upsetting reminder of everything Laharl had gone through in the past, she decided to leave him with his family and set out on her own for awhile. Feeling a little pensive and certainly restless, it seemed like the best option.

The sky, such as it was, was clear and bright, painted blue swirls on a domed ceiling. The air was crisp and cold but, due to her inhuman biology, she needed no coat or mittens. It felt nice...it felt pure and clean. Standing in the middle of the cobblestone road, Flonne closed her eyes, folded her her hands over her heart and breathed deep the wintery air.

The weather had been pretty rough, even for him, the first week he had appeared here. Despite that Teito would still try to go outside whenever he could, looking for answers. At the same time making mental notes of his surrounding so that he won't get lost. The number of times he left Fran's home only increased when the nightmares went into full effect, due to getting far too many sleepless nights without anything else to do.

Luckily things had been improving by then, both with the weather and sleep. By now he had also replaced his imperial uniform with more casual clothes from the city that made him blend in more (besides the lack of blond hair and blue eyes). He wasn't sure what he should be doing right now though. He still wanted to find the source of those nightmares but there wasn't any leads at all to what was doing it. He also just wanted to get back to his own world right now, but that was even less of an option.

For now Teito was simply walking down a street he had gone through several times before in the past, though it was now much more cleared of snow than it had been. He wasn't really paying attention to anything right now, however, mostly just lost in thought.

This probably could've ended better had he been paying attention too. Looking up just in time to see her slip, fall, and cry only just made him feel a whole lot worse.

All he could do was step back, panicked and embarrassed. "I-I--! Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine," after all he only got bumped into, it was no big deal.

"I haven't really been focusing that much either lately, otherwise I would have gotten out of the way."

Teito would have continued with the introductions, had it not been for one thing that Flonne had said. "... 'Fallen Angel'?"

Weren't angels supposed to have like, feathers or something? Or is that what the fallen part meant? How does an angel become fallen anyway?

On top of that, he wasn't even so sure why the fact of the matter interest him so much.
twice_promised: (No wai!)

I nearly forgot this, sob.

Teito blinked a few more times. It was still quite a bit impressive, though sadly not the strangest thing he's seen anymore.

"A-ah, well... If you're happier that way nothing else really should matter," never mind the fact he was still kind of confuse how one becomes fallen. But uh, oh right, introductions.

"My name is Teito, I'm still fairly new around here."
twice_promised: (How did you accomplish that?)

The handshake did catch him off guard but he didn't seem too bothered by it. The mention of humans being unaccepting did seem to trigger some unfortunate recollections though. Teito had seen more than his fair share of judgmental people after all, and been a victim of them enough times to know that kind of thing was wrong. He could easily understand what that must be like.

"I don't know how easy it is," he hesitantly tried to get to his hand back from her, "but I was hoping to uncover a few things."

Although, that's probably not what Flonne was referring to.

"Well, there's been some people complaining about nightmares lately. So I was trying to figure out why.."

Never mind the fact he had been getting them too. Of course, having unusual dreams was kind of the norm for him anyway.

"But that's... why would they possibly want to do that?" Teito seemingly asked that aloud without really realizing it. Obviously there was still much he didn't know about Paixao and much he still needed to learn.

"There was someone else that said to make more friends too," which may have been more easier said than done for him. Mikage was the only friend he ever had and never tried to make any others due to everybody else hating him so much. Honestly Teito's expertise in that field was quite a bit lacking.

"... Just one," he said awhile following behind Flonne. Although began to slow down slightly once he began talking, as if he was a little hesitant.

"Hopefully he's alright though. It already.. feels like it's been a long time since I've talked to him." That wasn't also including the time in Paixao. Mikage's name being erased from data banks for some unknown reason, and the things that other teen said prior to appearing in this world, all lead to the unsettling suspicion that something probably wasn't okay.
