Still in the Jungle. [Completed]
Character(s): Briar, Tris, Lexaeus
Content: Tris is still a pony. A tired pony whose nerves have been wound a bit too tight. It's the general assertion that this needs to be remedied.
Setting: Savage Garden, near the entrance.
Time: Saturday, after the meeting.
Warnings: Tris is an upset little pony. >_>
Tris had been in the jungle far too long. The larger group of friends had long since left, and Tris was starting to get more and more nervous. She'd decided that sleep was as good an idea as any, and decided to hand around the entrance of the jungle. It wouldn't do to get lost and not be able to find it again, even if her stupid pony body couldn't get up there.
At least she wasn't hungry. Or cold. She snorted, nipping at the ground plants a little. How long had she been in here? She couldn't remember well, other than way too gods-curst long.
Though that extended meditation before Ansem captured her had helped, without access to her power, she wasn't sure what state of disorder it would be in. With a mental sigh, Tris resigned herself to a fate of extended meditation.
If she ever got out. Last time she'd had her magic... unavailable, she had spent most of the time unconcious, and then Marluxia had freed her. Oh, gods, if only she had hands or small paws- something other than hooves. She snorted, walking in nervous circles.

His mood, obviously, bothered him. Even if his uncharacteristic desire to destroy was most likely sympathized by the rest of the Organization, it was not usual he took to fantasizing about the death of another; in all honesty, in his short life span he had very rarely found himself wishing any sort of malice to anyone – sure, even if the Neophytes got out of line, they were simply inexperienced and could learn; with no mistakes there were no lessons to be taught. Whatever respect they showed him, he gave them in turn.
But Axel’s offense was inexcusable, as far as Lexaeus was concerned.
He found himself, secondly, bothered by the large barrier that stood between him and Zexion. He bet that Zexion could smell all sorts of things around him right now, could know exactly where everyone was and what they were doing, but was somehow rendered helpless, held captive somewhere by Axel – and who knows what was being done to him. Lexaeus had reason to believe it was nothing less than absolutely sick.
It was when Lexaeus was lost in these mental ensnarements that he had passed the infamous lion statue, left slid away from the space it was intended to hide, available for just anyone to wander into. He furrowed his brows and came to a stop, then, growling softly under his breath.
He bet Axel was in the jungle right now.
The big man stepped forward – daringly letting himself down into the large slope of land that created the entrance of the jungle. He felt himself sliding quickly, air and foliage rushing passed him with a great speed, but surprisingly finding himself with a strange measure of control – still, very strangely enough, standing up right. When he came to a stop at the bottom of the hill, it was because he had caught himself on a tree and held himself in place.
The tree was bent slightly. He looked over at the side of it, and noticed his hand was no longer a hand, but a rather large, pawed claw. Slowly, the black scythes raked down the wood, and he let out a frustrated growl. That's right; Axel had forgotten to have Naminé draw in the correct things in order to ensure something like this would not happen. Ah well. The only way to remedy the problem was to find the source – there had to be one natural animal wandering around here somewhere.
Lexaeus lumbered down on all fours – and heard leather tear. Somehow the fact that it obstructed his ability to walk annoyed him more than the fact that it was ripping in fucking two. He moved forward, found it frustrating enough to claw it apart, and so he did. Then he continued to lumber on once he was free of it; somehow, the new form – the body of a bear – gave his mentality the same brutal inability to care much for morals or logic. Hmmm.

Ducking his head, Briar pulled the bundle off his back, leaving it sit just outside of Tris' circle range. He sat beside it, watching his sister and wanting nothing more than to jump on her head and try to comfort her as best he could. He didn't really understand why she was so freaked out, but he was beginning to understand that it had to have been something that happened before he arrived. The red panda also supposed that by being surrounded by plants, he didn't feel the aching loss of being unable to tap into his magic. It was saddening to think that these plants weren't reaching out to him, but it was something that he could do without.
"Tris," Briar began, "I..." He really didn't know what to say to help her, but he so wanted to try.

She paused, flicking her ears at an unfamiliar noise. "What's that?" she asked, raising her head. "Briar, you might want to get on my back," she muttered.
She was tense again, fearing for her saftey and her brother's. "Briar, get somewhere safe."
She was starting to see more and more logic in Briar's "just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me" view.

He heard the noises, too, and slipped the bundle onto his back once again. Were he able to use his knives, he'd have one at hand right now. It was most unfortunate that he couldn't. "Which is it, your back, or somewhere else?"
The red panda did have claws and teeth, and he'd fight if he had to. He was just a little wary of what might be coming, considering that he was so much smaller than a lot of the other folks that they had come across in this jungle.

He heard voices, in the distance, and then paused. Hm. Neither of them sounded like Axel, so it must be someone else - because from what he could tell, there were no other animals in the jungle besides those who had come in here accidentally. He moved forward, large form urging itself through the brush, emerging into the area where Briar and Tris were.
Well. Blinking, he paused and nodded. "Hello."
no subject
"H-h-hello," Tris replied shakily. "W-who're y-you?" She dug at the ground with a hoof, muscles tensed. She was ready to run, if need came to that. Run... or fight. She didn't think she'd win in a fight with the bear if it came to that.
She just didn't have her magic... pavao.

Briar eyed the bear warily, shifting from one paw to the other before he moved to stand beside his sister. Being the brother, the red panda was going to at least pretend that it was his duty to protect Tris. Hell, he'd jump on the bear's face if he had to, so she'd have the opportunity to get away. He just hoped it wouldn't come to that.
Damn, stupid paws, he thought. If only I could use my knives... Or his magic. Or something to defend them both, should the bear attack. Claws and teeth were only going to go so far, and would put him in harm's way...

He figured he'd get right to the point, though. "My name is Lexaeus. I'm not from here, but I have the ability to get whoever wishes to leave this jungle out of here. Assuming... that is what you want." He sat back on his great haunches and lowered his head dismissively, looking moreso like a teddy bear than something really threatening now. Which is exactly what he wanted to do. Though the scent of prey was making his nose twitch...
"Do you know of any others who wish to get out of here?"
no subject
"I really want out of here."
no subject
"If you could get us out of here, it would be greatly appreciated." He looked to Tris and then back. "Both of us would feel better if we were back to normal." It was nice to hear his sister be something other than upset.
no subject
"Good." He smiled slowly, and nodded, looking back to them. "It's very simple." And he moved forward - "As long as you're touching me, I can transport you out..."
no subject
She glanced over at Briar, flicking her ears forward.
no subject
"Sounds good," he said. There was really nothing else that he could think of to say. He just hoped that they weren't going out of the pan and into the fire.

...And nothing happened.
He opened his eyes. Then growled. "It's not working. Why is it not working..." He looked about, then pulled back, curisng under his breath. "Axel must have done this." He sighed, moving up to stand. "We have to find a place where my powers can work."
no subject
"...A place where they work? I haven't been able to get at my magic since I got here. At all, and I've been running around a bit. It's like... a glass wall... Wait, who's Axel?"
no subject
"Do you really think that there will be a place here where magic will work?" he questioned, frowning as he pondered the matter. "Where would it be, if there was?
no subject
"Come with me. We'll have to find a place. Axel... Axel isn't important right now. But he is the reason you're here, unfortunately." He gave a dejected sigh; the last thing he wanted to do was disclose information regarding the Organization... much less talk about the man he hated most at the moment.
no subject
She snorted softly. "It's his fault," Tris repeated, tone slightly questioning. That's three people. ...Wait, hadn't she seen that name while browsing the journals?
...She had. The pony snorted softly and shook her head.
no subject
He stopped talking to think a moment. He wanted to know who this Axel was, but wasn't sure that bringing it up was such a good idea. The red panda settled for another question instead. "How's it his fault?"
no subject
"Why, it's Axel's fault because he is the one who ordered the creation of this jungle. And wasn't careful enough to keep the animal rule in check." He sighed, finally remembering how horribly torn his Organization coat was - laying somewhere getting dirty. "He's a crafty one, though. If you see a man with spiky red hair and bright green eyes, watch out for him."
Suddenly the bear stopped, and plopped himself down in the centre of a patch of grass. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "Come close.."
no subject
"Well, if Daja were here, she'd keep our feet on the ground," Tris muttered, watching the bear as he stopped. She stopped a bit away, ears flicked forward.
She didn't entirley trust Lexaeus, but he was, so far, her only way out. When he told her to come close, she needed no second bidding.
no subject
"Maybe, when we get out of here, we might be able to reach Daja and Sandry..." he said rather softly. It was a voiced hope, and one that he was almost certain wouldn't come true.
no subject
Lexaeus looked around slowly - this way and that - there was a peculiar feeling in this area. While the other parts of the jungle let them helpless and powerless, there was indeed a small spark of something only a Nobody could recognize - as this 'spot' was designed for their kind, after all. Lexaeus made a mental note to make sure the rest of the Organization plotted out all of these points where trasportation was not blocked. If they didn't destroy it, that is.
Looking to waste no time, the great bear reached out a clawed paw and touched Trisana. He did not listen to their idle talk, only wished to remove them from this place as soon as possible. While he had shown them kindness, there was nothing in his soul that commemerated him to care beyond the fact they intefered.
In a second or two, the three of them disappeared... and then reappeared in the centre of Paixao.
Lexaeus arched a brow and looked down at himself. He was quite naked at the moment - and with a glance upward, the children were, too. ...
Well. "I suppose I'll be seeing you," he said calmly - and in an instant, he disappeared, probably set off to find somewhere to get some new clothes.
