Hiding away
Character(s): Axel and Xion
Content: After her friends are threatened because of her, Xion tries to regroup her thoughts
Setting: Xion's room
Time: After this log
Warnings: Xion is the saddest panda. ;-;
Xion was sitting up against the headboard of her bed, knees pulled to her chest with her arms wrapped around them. She didn't know what to do. Axel and Roxas... Saix would hurt them, if she did something wrong. She hadn't been sure about that before, but Saix wouldn't hold back.
But at the same time, what about everyone else? So many people had been pulled from their homes, their friends, and they were being experimented on. She didn't want that, either. There were some bad people, sure, but most of them... they were nice. She liked them. And she didn't want them to suffer either. What if the Doctor's call to arms just hurt them more?
She sighed dejectedly, resting her face on her knees. "What do I do...?"

Unless you were Demyx.
In an attempt to get his mind off things, he was walking the halls of the base, and stopped short at Xion's room. Maybe she was here... He knocked on the door once, and then poked his head into the room. "I thought I heard you get back," he grinned, letting himself in.

Axel closed the door behind him, and perched his hands on his hips. "Woah, that happy to see me, eh?"

He could almost swear a twinge of guilt rose up from somewhere...
His response to her question was a shrug. He wasn't so great -- but it definitely seemed like she was worse off. "You know how it is..." he shook his head from side to side, trying to shake off the heavy feeling in the air between them. Then paused for a moment, to consider...
"Say, how about we get out of here for a little while?"

After a few moments, she nodded. "Ok. Um... where?"

He stepped through first, as the exit led them atop the of central station, near the clock. A bit of a nostalgic hang out, if you asked him... nodding in approval, he turned to make sure that Xion had followed.

He moved towards the ledge also, and plopped down on the ground beside her, and brought up a knee to lean his arm on. "Not too bad, huh?"

She tried not to focus on that, even if her mind would come back around to it soon enough. Instead, she looked over at Axel and smiled, more sincerely than before, before looking out over Paixao.

She shook her head slightly, stubbornly taking another bite before looking at Axel. "So, um..." She never was great at small talk.

Axel chomped down on his own bar, only flashing Xion a quick look from the corner of his eye as he continued to face forward. Not that she didn't have good reason -- but why she 'felt' it in the first place was the problem.
They were Nobodies. They didn't feel anything. ... Right?

It wasn't like she didn't want to tell him. She trusted Axel, after all, and he was her friend. But Xion was more than a little wary about Saix finding out... she didn't think Axel would tell him, but Saix had a habit of finding out things she tried to keep secret.
so i just thought... shall we make this their final 'LETS GET ROXAS' log before the memory regain??
sure!

"Well. Maybe we should fix that."

"I say we finally set the gears in motion... help him get his memories back." There was something he couldn't explain creeping into his words -- conviction? All he knew was... he was getting pretty tired of the same old waiting game.

"Yea," she said, with a tentative smile, "...not right now, though, right?"
Because really, she was in enough trouble and didn't want Roxas dragged into that.

Axel sighed, then bit off the last bit of sweet-saltyness from the popsicle stick. "Well, all right. If you say so. Whatever it is you have to do... you let me know when you're ready." He pushed himself up to a standing position, and looked down at her. "I'll be waiting."

He didn't get long to look at it, though, because quite suddenly the girl had her arms around his waist, wrapping him in a hug.
it's... it's TOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111 AHHHHHH
"H-hey I -- " he certainly hadn't been expecting this! What the hell had prompted her to...?! Axel struggled slightly at first, in his awkwardness -- not knowing exactly what to do. How long had it been since someone had hugged him? His first reaction was to somehow worm his way out of it, but... it didn't exactly -- feel that bad...
His arms were free-floating, flailing slightly -- then... eventually came to rest on her shoulders.
DEATH BY ADORABLE
After probably long than it should have been, Xion let go and took a few steps back. She hoped that had been ok, but... friends hugged, right?

He didn't wait for an answer to what he had said -- only continued forward into a corridor of darkness, disappearing from the scene.
