Prinny Hunt! [Active]

Content: Response to this thread about a missing Prinny

Emizel was still only half considering looking for this Prinny. It was not like he was going to get anything out of it anyway. But on the other hand, if a Prinny was being unruly there probably did need to be something done about it.... Or he really had spent too much time around Valvatorez.

Then again there was never any rule that he was aware of that specify 'how' Prinnies got the money to pay off their sins. Maybe this was totally valid?

Eh, maybe a little bit of fresh air was something he could use right now. What with it not snowing as much as it had been in a while.

Blues hadn't entirely set out with intentions of finding the Prinny, though he had been curious about it. The fact of the matter was that he had been planning on going out to take a look around anyways - and the shops seemed like a good place to start. If he ended up finding the Prinny then so be it. Of course, he had no idea where the shops were so he was more or less wandering around somewhat aimlessly.

He wasn't really all that concerned about it, honestly.

Actually taking a look at some of the shops seemed like a wonderful idea. He's never really gotten to go inside most of them due to them being buried, closed, or a combination of the two. It was possible that they were finally accessible now.

Or maybe they were not and he was just wasting his time, but there was still nothing else better to do right now.

He was honestly feel about the same way about the situation. For the moment, he was just walking along near the buildings and taking in his surroundings. Blues paused a moment to glance around thoughtfully as he tried to decide which way he wanted to go. He supposed it didn't matter since he didn't know his way around anyways and simply thrust his hands into his pockets and carried on his way. He hasn't yet noticed Emizel.

However, Emizel did notice Blues. No real surprise there. After all he had barely just shown up too and doubtfully would have traveled that far since then.

... Though there was no point really in bothering him. Probably busy or up to something else right now.

The robot seemed to be looking for something despite trying to seem inconspicuous about it. His brow furrowed slightly behind his shades as he took another look around to see if he could see anything that caught his eye. It was about then that he notice Emizel offering a slight wave in lieu of a more proper greeting.

Emizel saw that too and stopped for a moment, awkwardly watching.

... Was he supposed to go talk to him now? But he had nothing really to say, but what else do people do when they're greeted? This kind of thing sadly doesn't really happen all that often. ~~At least not so casually.~~

...Blues didn't really know where to go from there. Naturally this causes an awkward little silence as he cast about for some idea of what to say.

"...Have you seen a penguin anywhere?"

It may have seemed a little random but it was something at least.

"A... penguin?" seemed like a pretty random thing to be searching for. Sure there was a lot of snow but that doesn't mean there was automatically--

"You mean the Prinny that went missing earlier?"

"...Ah. Yeah. I'm pretty sure that was what she called it."

...It was just a really weird penguin to him.

"They aren't exactly penguins, but I can see how someone would mistake them for one."

Besides the appearance, they were hardly alike.

"...I see. Have you seen one around?"

...He was definitely not excited or curious at all. Well, at least he wasn't expressing that he was either of these up front.

"Not recently. You're seriously gonna try capturing it or something?" Emizel was still debating whenever or not he should do the same, even if it was for completely different reasons. Joining up with someone else would make it all the more easier too.

"...I was thinking about it. There really isn't much else to do."

He offered a little shrug.

"If she really wants it back, she should go looking for it herself. Although..." ugh, decisions.

Blues just offered a shrug to that.

"... Probably but I've not found anything else to do here. It should at least pass some time."

"... Clearly that must be a sign of boredom," he sighed and stuffed both hands back into pockets. It looked like this couldn't be helped after all. "Very well, I'll help you find it then."

.... You heard that right Blues, he just volunteered himself. Though lord knows why.

There was a faint amused smirk at that first comment there - though very faint and very brief. He hadn't really intended on asking the other to help look but if Emizel decided to just offer like that he wasn't going to say no.

"...I take it you're a bit bored as well, then?"

He did not answer that right away, slighting avoiding eye contact now too. Maybe deep down somewhere, that could have also been a reason. He's hardly done anything at this city so far besides being constantly under six feet of snow all the time. But no, there was more.

"... I'm kind of wondering what it could be up to."

He quirked a brow at this somewhat curiously. Blues had noticed the body language but wasn't really sure what to make of that nor was he even going to bother bringing that up.

"...'what it could be up to'? ...Do Prinnies generally cause problems or something?"

"Prinnies have to collect HL if they want to reincarnate. But they're also usually a bit stupid and pathetic. It's kind of unheard of them to try stealing it." Although the ones that do try to pull off that brilliant scheme, never last for very long. It is pretty much like suicide.

He seemed to think over this a moment.

"...'reincarnate'?" It sounded a bit weird no matter how he really looked at it.

"Of course," all of this was pretty much Netherworld 101. Had it been anyone else Emizel probably would have had more of an attitude about it. But he'd go easier on Blues, given the fact the robot knew nothing about all of this anyway.

"Prinnies are the souls of human criminals. They are people who committed too many sins in their life that they can't move on until they redeem them. So demons and sometimes even angels will make Prinnies do menial tasks for them to pay off the sins faster."

"...I see. In other words in their case 'pay for your sins' has a literal meaning."

He paused a moment.

"...Mmm. But if this is the case and they were criminals why would it be 'unheard of' for them to steal money to pay off their dues? It seems to me like it would be a common practice."

Actually that probably was a good question.

"Well... like I said, Prinnies aren't usually too bright. Most of them don't even really seem to remember their past lives that well anyway besides getting a list of things they did." It really did beg the question why only some kept memory and personality in tact but others didn't. One of the mysterious of being an important story character it seemed.

"Besides, stealing from a demon? That would be straight up suicide."

He really could have pointed out the fact that Emizel just stated that the Prinnies generally weren't smart to begin with but he refrained.

"...I see."

Blues glanced around the area thoughtfully.

"...Where do you think one may have gone after stealing a lot of money? Do they usually have to take the money to a certain place...?"

... True enough. This one in particular just got extremely lucky that its master wasn't paying attention. Kinda questions who really was the stupid one.

"Well if it did take it for that reason in mind, it will have to wait for a red moon. But I'd be more than surprised if those actually occur here."
