It's Dark In Here (Complete)
Character(s): Lightning and Terra
Content:not!date a spar between friends
Setting: Outside their apartment? idk, somewhere with space
Time: Week 33
Warnings: cute? idk, they're like bricks
Well, it was a normal day for Lightning and a normal day involved combat training. She needed to keep her strength up, especially if she was to keep protecting the city from crazy lions and hyenas. It seemed like every time she turned around, something else was showing up to kill them all and she hated it. Toying with people's lives, shoving them into life-threatening situations, or making them do things they didn't want to do. It was awful and it needed to stop.
So, it was with a little more vengeance than normal that Lightning chose an out of the way place and began to practice. Her gunblade flicked around like it weighed nothing at all and she cartwheeled and backflipped like she'd been doing this her whole life. She didn't use magic while she was practicing, but she did flip her gunblade between its two modes, remembering its versatility and how it was supposed to be used.
With any luck, this would get a lot of her excess energy and anger out.

"Oh, I didn't realize anyone else was out here today"
no subject
"I always am. A good soldier never stops practicing."
She paused, wondering if he'd come out here for the same reason she had.
"Do you train every day, too?"
no subject
Though he wasn't sure he'd ever fulfill that goal, not after everything that's happened. But that wasn't any reason to break the habit of training every chance that he got. It was the only real constant he had in his life.
no subject
"What's that?" she asked. Better to know for sure.
no subject
"It's a great honor to become a Keyblade Master."
no subject
She nodded in response. "I was a soldier back home, one of the Guardian Corps who protected the city of Bodhum, where I lived." But she'd never started really training like this until she'd become a l'Cie.
"Do you spar?"
no subject
"Yes... though I haven't had a chance to in a while" And he'd never sparred with someone who wasn't Aqua or Ven.
no subject
Which was true. But she also wanted to see how good he really was.
"No magic. Just our blades for now." Maybe later, they could add more than simple swordplay.
no subject
Terra nodded at Lightning's instructions and got into his battle stance. "Right."
no subject
Lightning hopped backwards a few paces, her blade pointed down as she tried to catch her breath. "I think that's enough for now. You're pretty good."
no subject
"I could say the same about you."
no subject
In typical Lightning fashion, she wasn't suggesting so much as stating her preference, but her expression was far gentler than normal. This exercise had done much to calm her down.
no subject
"I... I look forward too it."
