Characters: Sora, Aladdin and Rinzler
Content: Even though the Doctor said he would help, Sora can't wait, and tries to save Rinzler himself.
Setting: Out in the snow
Time: Evening
Warnings: Violence
A part of him knew that he should just wait for the Doctor. The Doctor would know how programs work better than he did. And if he couldn't wait, maybe he should have asked Urd, or Genie, or the other Doctor. Yet, in times like these, Sora rarely listened to his rational side. A friend was in trouble. Serious trouble. And he had to act.
He couldn't do this alone, though he considered asking Riku for help, he decided against it. Riku would have just told him to wait, anyway. So he went and found Aladdin instead.

Turning around Aladdin glanced over, maybe Sora’s eyesight was better in this sort of weather than he was, “D’ya see anything?”

Just at the moment, however, he was trying to figure out just why the city had felt the need to 'snow' for so long and so extensively. The city ought to have been optimized to Users, and what he'd managed to understand so far was that this addition was less than helpful. He'd yet to have any real suggestions as to the cause though, and in the end, he'd more or less resorted to simply stalking angrily through the white powder. There simply wasn't any use to it.

"Tron!" he called out to him.

Either way, given that his designation was not only something quite different but also something that was known to one of the pair, he didn't even turn to look at them. If they wanted to speak to him, they would do so through the proper channels and with the proper designation. Not the name of some fallen program.

He shot a worried glance to Aladdin before approaching Tron again.
"I... I know it's you, Tron."

"Designation: Rinzler," he all but snarled at Sora. "Program: Tron no longer on the Grid."
no subject
He reached out at the Program, "I'm hear to help you remember, Tron."
no subject
No, he didn't need help, and he knocked away Sora's hand with one of his own. All that his attempts were doing was providing a new source of irritation, and one he didn't need on top of the problems he already had with the city at large.

"You've been reprogrammed, but I know you're old programming's still in there." Instead of acting on his first instinct to reach back out at Rinzler, Sora instead clenched his fists in determination.

"Accusation: false. Programming default."
no subject
"Do you really believe that?"
no subject
"Nothing to fix." He would stand by his words until he was forced into derezzing, and as if to echo the sentiment, he reached behind his back and unhooked his discs from their resting place. He wasn't going to bother either splitting them or making threatening gestures with them, but one thing was clear. He would fight for his beliefs. He always had, and no mere User would be enough to stand against him.

And yet, Sora still couldn't find it in his heart to back down. He couldn't leave Tron in the state he was in.
"But Tron."

There was the briefest of pauses after Sora's words, and then Rinzler was separating his discs and all but launching himself at Sora. He'd had enough, and this was the clearest way he knew to address the point and actually have it stick for a change.

Then, the unexpected happened. Tron launched an attack at Sora. Aladdin eyes widen as he jumped back, wielding his sword. Well scratch talking, eh? “Hey! Whoa, whoa! Back off him!” Aladdin said, ready jump in there and help his friend fight.

True, the blade had very neatly blocked his disc, but he was used to that. If he was going to use it, then Rinzler was going to take advantage of it, as he reached out to grab the keyblade before using it to flip himself up and over Sora's head. If Sora wasn't ready to block attacks from above, on his head be it.

He watched as Rinzler flipped over his head, he didn't recall Tron having moves like that. Though perhaps his reprogramming had rewrote his fighting style as well.
He didn't actually want to fight Tron like this.

So once he landed on the other side of Sora, it was a simple thing to grab his returning disc out of the air before bring it up to block Aladdin's blade. If Sora wasn't going to attempt to fight, then he didn't mind, although he was careful to keep an eye on the Keyblade wielder all the same.
no subject
But that didn't mean he wasn't going to fight, he would stay on the defensive, and not try to hurt Tron, but he wasn't going to back down.
He watched the clash between Aladdin and Rinzler closely, and prepared himself to defend Aladdin if he had to.

Nor was it all difficult to arrange it so that his leap once again landed him closer to Sora than Aladdin. For all that the latter was being the more active attacker, he was nothing more than a distraction. Rinzler's fight was with Sora, and without missing a beat he swung his discs in towards Sora.

Sora cried out in pain and stumbled back. Though it wasn't something that couldn't be dealt with a well timed cure spell, it meant he would have to find the time to cast the spell.

And yet for all that he knew what to expect and how Users reacted to something that a program would barely bat an eye at there was a conflict between his two directives. A slight hitch as his more recent directives ran headlong into what he had always been and for a fleeting few moments, the follow-up attack that surely he had been planned simply failed to come. In its wake, it left a perfect opportunity for any healing Sora might have had in mind.

Sora took the opportunity to fire off a healing spell, the spell washed down from the bell flowers summoned over his head, closing the wound in his arm and making it as though it was never there.
But Rinzler's reaction, no, not Rinzler, Tron. Tron's reaction made it clear that he was still in there.
