Freezing Friends [Active]
Character(s): Megara, Priere
Content: Megara and Priere get snowed in.
Setting: Cafe Ersesat
Time: Week 36, later afternoon?
Warnings: None
Meg had discovered she hated snow. Sure, it was pretty enough at first, but then it just kept building and building. It wouldn't stop. Unfortunately, she'd been going stir-crazy inside Jecht's apartment after a certain point. She'd never been one for staying in one place for long, after all. So despite her common sense, she bundled up as best she could and struck out into the cold, snowy day.
She lasted just long enough to realize she was completely turned around. Under the whirling white of the weather, all the buildings looked the same. Shivering, Meg cursed under her breath and trudged through the snow to the nearest building, hoping for a little shelter to get her wits back, but the door was locked and barred. It took her several more minutes of wandering before she was able to make her way into one building that had only a weak lock on it.
In the dark, still interior, Megara gasped for breath, shutting the door behind her.

So, knowing fully well that she was the only one to blame, she piled on as many sweaters as she could find and headed outside. Too bad it seemed everyone had been smarter than her that day and already closed shop. Shit... what was she supposed to do now?
She spotted someone not to far, seemingly heading for a door. Great, at least something was open, right? She ran, as best as she could at least, towards the person... only to get the door shut right in her face right as she was about to get in.
"Okay... that could have gone better."

"Hey! Get in!"

"Ehh... thanks. I thought my fingers were going to fall off..."

"No problem," she said, turning away to look around the room. "I wonder if they have a fireplace somewhere..."
no subject
"That and some light, geez. This place looks gloomy enough as it is," she said, already looking around. She came here often, yet it still didn't mean she actually knew where everything was. "Still... it's better than being outside, yeesh..."
"Oh yeah, I'm Priere," she finally said, as an afterthought.
no subject
"Hey...wait, I think I know you." She stepped closer to bring the warm orange glow of the lantern closer to Priere. "You're one of the girls that Vyers character hit on too, right?"

She turned towards Megara as she said that. Hmm... now that she thought about it, she knew she had heard that voice before. Well, small world when you think about it. "Yeah I was. Urgh... that entire thing was just so stupid," she added, making a face as she suddenly recalled the past events. Honestly, she still wasn't sure what the stupidest part had been: the random demon flirting with everyone, or the fact that the thing had been caused by an actual love potion. Love potions... who the hell even used these things?

She lead the way, stepping gingerly around tables and chairs to the back kitchen. As expected, a huge iron stove was dark and cold in the far corner. "Do you see anything to light it?"
no subject
However, that little bit of discussion got shelved as the stove was discovered. "I think these things use firewood... maybe they have matches around..." she said, opening random drawers looking for anything useful.

"We're doomed then~" she said jokingly, even though she had to admit that sometimes she did feel that way. "Especially considering what the people are charge are doing right now." IE, nothing useful.

She rubbed her hands together and held them palm out toward the stove. "Or maybe I'm just overthinking it. It's not like the Mayor is some evil mastermind."

However, she did take a moment to ponder what Meg said. Sure, he looked like your average guy... you know, average. Sure, he seemed to hate everyone that wasn't a blonde prude, but he looked "normal".
Then again, her brother once said something similar about a certain demon before and things got ugly fast.
"Well, you never know around here. Best we can do is be ready for whatever he throws at us and go from there... even if it looks like it's going to be a snowball fight at this point."

She chuckled dryly, a brittle sound in the slowly warming room. "The problems just keep coming from every side, after all..."
