Paying it Forward [Active]
Character(s): Mufasa and the Eleventh Doctor
Content: After learning Mufasa is in trouble, the Doctor does what he does best.
Setting: East-ish in the city.
Time: Backdated to week 34, after this post.
Warnings: None.
East, Mufasa had told him. But in a city as large as this, there was a lot of east to look around in, and so the Doctor was rather lost. He knew he was pushing it already, what with the snow and his injuries and Yuna's (infamous, he thought) puppy eyes. He'd probably get them again - and he'd been doing so well lately, too. He hadn't even tried to sneak out for the past few days, resigned to the fact that if he didn't want to upset his rescuer, who'd already done so much for him. But now was different. Now, someone was in trouble, and it wasn't jus tany someone, it was a good someone - someone whose fate the Doctor already knew. Guilt gnawed at him as his train of thought once again circled to the fact that these people weren't characters in a story, as he had thought. These were people, and here he'd been watching their lives as entertainment.
Brushing those thoughts aside, the Doctor took another glance around. "Mufasa!" he yelled, ignoring the startled glances the citizens were giving him. He saw a heap of fur that could only belong to a lion, and rushed to him, feeling for a pulse. It was definitely him, and he was definitely still alive. "Mufasa," the Doctor breathed, giving the lion a worried look. "It's me. I'm here. Can you hear me?"

However, upon hearing the unfamiliar yell, his ears perked up and he began to rouse himself.
"...mm." he rumbled, his golden eyes opening sluggishly, "...Doctor?" he tried to smile, "So you found me."
no subject
Keeping his thoughts on the subject to himself, the Doctor smiled back. "Of course I did," he told him. "I'm good at finding people."

"I am lucky." he leaned against the Doctor, exhaling shakily, "So I noticed." his low voice rumbled in amusement before he took his first step gingerly, "Nn." he winced and closed his eyes, willing himself to stay strong, "I hope that your home isn't far."
Otherwise, he probably wouldn't make it.

He only hoped he was strong enough to wheel Mufasa back on his own. But he couldn't just leave him here, not with Scar mucking about - not to mention the Organization and Maleficent, of all people.
