New Friends [Active]

Character(s): Flonne, Naminé, Xion, Yorda. Also includes Mao as a brief special guest!
Content: Yorda has invited several new friends over for a sleepover.
Setting: St. Destino hospital.
Time: Early evening to mid-morning, week 35
Warnings: Mao.

Urd had told her what to do, but Yorda was still a little nervous. She'd given her the make-up bag and showed her what to do with it, and dropped off a bit of clothing - a pretty purple dress, cute pink pajamas and a set of winter clothes - pointing out that most people slept in something other than what they wore every day - which, in turn, had led her to realize that she had yet to take Yorda shopping for new clothes and somewhere along the way, Yorda frankly got a little lost. But then, she normally did, and Urd's tirades rarely helped.

She'd also told her what to do in case any intruders (but really, Yorda knew she meant Mao) had shown up. Intruders were usually something to be feared, so why did Urd seem so gleeful at the prospect? Nevertheless, Yorda had hugged Urd gratefully and thanked her, and promised to make plans with her soon and tell her all about the party.

An hour or so later, Yorda stood, barefoot as usual, in her new dress - an apron covering it, as Urd had told her to be careful - and worked on carefully frosting the cupcakes Genie had taught her to make as she let dinner cool on the counter of the rather dreary hospital kitchen. She smiled to herself, her heart beating a little faster in rare excitement. She hoped the night would go well; now all she had to do was wait for the others to show up.

Xion had no idea what sleepovers were. She had concluded that sleep must be involved somehow, and since she was meant to stay the night that part of it was explained. She felt like she was missing something, though... maybe she'd find out when she got there.

She was wearing her hoodie, pulled up over her face and a very simple pair of black pants, so she wasn't really dressed for the occasion... she'd completely neglected to bring a change of clothes, since she was used to wearing her coat all the time. Still, she arrived feeling rather excited. This would be fun, right?

Naminé only had a very small inkling of what a sleepover might be, but that was due to the pieces of Sora's and Kairi's memories that she'd seen. In general, she knew as little as Xion did about them. She brought a change of clothes for the morning - because something told her to - but she was nervous. Would the others be okay with her?

Once she arrived, she knocked on the door, hoping she wasn't late. "Yorda?"

[identity profile] fangirlforlove.livejournal.com 2011-09-20 02:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Flonne popped out, seemingly out of nowhere, from behind Naminé. "Hi! I'm here!" She was clearly excited, her long devil tail swaying behind her as she fairly danced where she was standing. But she paused after a moment, looking blankly at the girl she no doubt surprised.

"...um. I think Yorda-san must be up further. Come on!" She took Naminé's hand and dragged her inside, humming.

Xion saw the other two girls ahead of her, and hurried to catch up. Though, she didn't really say anything for a moment after she did. She knew Namine, but this other girl...

"Hello," she said finally, having been trailing behind them by a few feet for several moments before actually talking. They were allowed to be going in like this... right?

Naminé blinked at suddenly being dragged inside, but she didn't protest. It wasn't like she could have done anything to stop her anyway. Looking back at Xion's voice, Naminé couldn't help the feeling of relief that floated through her. Oh good. She wasn't alone.

"Xion... you're coming this this... sleep over, too?"

[identity profile] fangirlforlove.livejournal.com 2011-10-12 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, you two already know each other?" Flonne paused, taking Xion's hand in her free one and shaking both of their hands simultaneously. "It's nice to meet you both! I'm Flonne, fallen angel of love! And you're Xion-san...and you are Naminé-san, right?" She giggled, her little demonic wings fluttering. "This is so exciting! We're gonna have so much fun!"

Still holding on to the other two girls, she barged further down the hallway. "Yorda-san! Are you there?"

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2011-10-14 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's nice to meet you," Xion said, moving to walk next to Namine as she addressed Flonne. She... didn't really know what 'fallen angel of love' meant, but she seemed like a nice person.

She looked forward when Yorda came out, smiling. Yorda seemed really excited too... hopefully this would be fun. She was starting to get a little more excited too. "Hi, Yorda."

Naminé could only nod in response to Flonne. The girl spoke way too quickly for her, but she didn't want to appear ungrateful so she smiled in response. She had no idea what a fallen angel of love was, either.

When they came in view of Yorda, Naminé's smile widened. She was glad to see Yorda, someone she considered a real friend here. "Thank you for letting us," she answered, thinking that was the polite thing to say. (Wasn't it what Kairi would have said?)

"Um... what do we do?"

[identity profile] fangirlforlove.livejournal.com 2011-10-15 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Flonne bowed automatically in return, her red bow bobbing with the motion. "Thank you for having us!" She glanced between the girls, head tilted with a finger to her chin.

"...oh, yeah. What do you do at a slumber party? It's too early to sleep."

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2011-10-17 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Um... thank you." Xion smiled and followed Yorda, picking a chair and looking around at everything. This was very different, for her- at the Castle what usually happened was you found something to put in the microwave (Axel had had to teach her how to use it) and then ate when you weren't on a mission. Restaurants were sort of more like this, but... still different. She actually wasn't sure what she was supposed to do now. She glanced at Flonne and Namine to see what they did.

Feeling a little uncertain, Naminé chose a seat next to Xion, who she felt the most comfortable with. Xion was one of her first friends, someone she knew could and would protect her if something happened. Not that Naminé expected anything to happen here.

She smiled, though, looking back up at Yorda. "You didn't need to make so much for us." And to be honest, Naminé wasn't used to such. But it was... nice to think that someone liked them all enough to cook for them. That was another thing friends did, right?

[identity profile] fangirlforlove.livejournal.com 2011-10-18 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oooh..." Flonne gasped, taking in the sight of the feast. "You...you made all this by yourself?" Excited, she took Yorda's hands in hers, eyes sparkling. "C-Can you teach me how to cook sometime, Yorda-san? I'm so terrible at it and Laharl-san says I'll kill him someday if I keep trying, but if I could cook like you..."

She trailed off as her stomach growled rather noisily. "Eh...heh heh. Guess I'm hungry..." Blushing a bit, she took a seat at the table.

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2011-10-21 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Xion took the plate, still wide-eyed and a little confused about the whole thing (and the amount of food, and... whatever it was that was in the cups), following Yorda's example for passing it on. "Is he your friend?" Xion asked Flonne, assuming that if she was trying to cook for him that they must be friends.
prismsmemory: (I would rather not answer that)

[personal profile] prismsmemory 2011-10-22 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Flonne's excitement was a little much for Naminé, but she held in her nervousness. She didn't know what to expect, but at least she had friends with her.

"Oh..." She knew him from living with Timon, but that didn't mean she knew what to do with him... or Flonne. Naminé took the plate after Xion, dishing up food before passing it on to whoever was next. She decided to remain silent and let Flonne answer.

[identity profile] fangirlforlove.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Laharl-san is the Overlord of the Netherworld!" Flonne replied cheerfully, taking her seat next to Yorda. "I'm his vassal. He's a very important person to me." When the plate came her way, she took some food for herself as well before sitting back and taking a sip of the tea.

She smiled at Xion and nodded. "Yes, he's a friend. Do you all have important people here?" As she picked up her fork to chow down, the fallen angel glanced at Yorda. "I know you already have Mao-san. You're very close to him, right?"

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounded familiar... she hadn't been around Timon and Vyers enough recently to really see Laharl, but she at least remembered who he was now. Mao she didn't know, but if he was Yorda's friend then she was sure he was a nice person. "I'm glad you have friends here. I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have any of mine..." She turned to smile at Namine a little. She hadn't known her too well back home, but was glad they got to talk here.

Naminé nodded at Flonne and Yorda's explanations of their important people. She wasn't sure how to classify "important people" but she did know of some who made her happy, some who mattered to her. Xion's smile at her made her blush a little bit and she smiled in return, happy to call Xion a friend.

"I have some, too." Xion, of course, was one. Kairi, Sora, and even Riku were others. Roxas, too, was very important... and then others. More than she'd actually counted before. It was strange to think about, but heartwarming.

Or would have been had she had the heart to feel it.

[identity profile] fangirlforlove.livejournal.com 2011-10-25 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Flonne watched the happy smiles of the girls at the table, chewing thoughtfully on her food. It made her feel better knowing they weren't alone in this dark place -- friends made any situation just a little better. She swallowed and took a big gulp of her tea before chiming in again. "Then you all know the importance of love and friendship! In this place, your friends will help strengthen your heart against enemies."

She held up a finger and smiled wider. "And that's what's so important about tonight! We're making more friends!"

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Xion smiled a little more. Making new friends... that was nice. She wasn't completely sure how to go about it, but if that was the point of this then she felt much better about not knowing exactly what to do. She ate a little bit more of her food while Flonne talked, and even though some of what she was saying wasn't familiar to Xion she could still appreciate most of it. "I'm... really glad we get to do this, then." Not that she wasn't glad in the first place, but...

More friends... It wasn't something Naminé was used to, but it made her smile all the same. She ate, delicately because she'd gotten used to not being allowed to eat much at first, and then not being sure if she should or not. Living with Timon and company had at least taught her that it was okay to eat what she wanted, but here she didn't want to be caught looking too... eager.

"You're right... Thank you," she murmured, speaking to all of the people in the room. "It's good to have friends."
