We are different, yet we all feel the same way. [Active, Closed]
Character(s): Woody, Nana, Naminé, and maybe Bullseye too
Content: A get-together in which a friendship between toys, a Nobody, and a Diclonius strengthen. They get to draw some pictures too!
Setting: At Café Eresat near Muspelheim
Time: Backlogged to week 34
Warnings: None, just lots of cute. ^.^
Nana told Naminé over the network that she would be there soon. She didn’t know when Woody would arrive, or whether or not Bullseye was coming with him, but she believed that at least Woody was on his way.
With a little bit of help from the map, she made it to the area near the Muspelheim. Kakyuu and Nana had been to the café before, so she remembered what the place looked like.
There was a concern for Naminé. Nana knew what it was like to be different from other people. She didn’t really want to talk about her old life though, and Naminé probably didn’t want to talk about why she hesitated when saying who she was—and that was okay. Talking about other things and drawing together would make their worries go away! Meeting and getting to know Woody was another thing to look forward to!
Was Naminé waiting inside, or was she sitting at one of the tables by the front door? All the other people around with blonde hair looked the same, but she looked a lot younger than these grown ups. Nana knew she was the only one of her kind around in Paixao, so her new friend would be able to recognize her right away.

"Nana?" she questioned, really hoping she hadn't made the mistake of asking after the wrong person. "It's me, Naminé."

Nana briefly noticed the bag Naminé was holding close to her--almost as if she was protecting what had to be her paper and crayons on the inside of it. It looked different from the single strapped handbag that was slung over her diagonally. Her head tilted slightly as she looked and felt happy to be with this new friend she just made.

"We should probably sit down for this. I can... find a table if you're waiting for Woody?"
It was normal for her to be the one not included, so somehow this didn't seem very different to her. She suddenly realized she hadn't shown Nana what was in her bag yet, so she opened it up a little bit.
"This is all of my drawing stuff," she explained. "For when we decide to try later."

She was already looking around for an unoccupied patio table, since it was such a nice day out--until Naminé spoke again. She noticed the book of paper and what looked to be longer crayons she hadn't seen before. Their tips looked pointier too!
"Oh! Here's mine," Nana beamed, and opened up the flap of her handbag. She couldn't help but feel excited. Her first drawing friend, ever! Papa would be so happy for her. He'd be so proud.
Her crayon box was tucked in beside her pile of plain white paper. "Looks like there's plenty to share. I've never seen big crayons like the ones you have!" She tilted her head, thinking a moment. "No, I don't think so..."

"I'm not used to drawing with other people yet," she admitted shyly, smiling at Nana. "Usually... I just do it for myself. But I guess I'm not the only one who likes to draw."
And that was great. She liked it.
"Oh... these are colored pencils. They're a little different. Sharper."
She demonstrated the different effects colored pencils could give that crayons couldn't. Like shading.
"You can use some of mine if you want."

As she watched Naminé use the colored pencils, her mouth fell partially open. "Wow!" Out of the pile on the table, Nana picked up a light orange colored one and some other colors. She started to draw a medium sized circle with the light orange, lightly pressing it into the paper.
Unlike a crayon, it was longer and smooth to the touch. Once the circle was complete, she picked a darker orange. Lightly, as she began to move the pencil back and forth, while keeping it inside her circle. "Like this?"

“We’re makin’ a lotta friend aren’t we Bullseye? I hope ya don’t mind meeting human kids, things sure are different here in Paixao,” Woody spoke thoughtfully as they went on their way to meet up with the girls, giving a sigh, “Honestly though, we need to try to be more careful alright Bullseye? I’m letting the toy code slide only slightly here, but only ‘cause some of the kids we talk to on the boards are here real nice and ain’t gonna tell no one we can walk and talk. At least I know I can trust them. But we can’t let anyone else know, alright? Unless you know, they’re trustworthy and we know them to be.” Woody felt it was important they still know about the code, even if it has been slipping up a bit recently. He’s pretty sure Bullseye will be alright, but still, a little reminder for themselves now and again wouldn’t hurt.
Seeing the girls by the café, Woody gave a big smile, patting Bullseye, “Hey! There they are! Ooooh, looks like they brought out the crayons, allllright Bullseye ya ready for some coloring?” He asked as he got closer to the girls waving up at them, making, “Hey howdy hey gals! Y’all ain’t gonna start without us, are ya?”
i'm... JUST GOING TO SNEAK A BULLSYE POST IN HERE CAUSE ITS EASIER FOR ME THAT WAY, I HOPE THATS OK
At the mention of colouring, the horses' ears perked up and he trotted with a spring in his step, eager to see what it was the girls were creating!

She gave an encouraging nod and would have added more, but someone addressed them. She couldn't see anything at first, but then she remembered what Nana had told her. Looking down, she spotted two toys. They must've been Woody and his horse. Naminé hesitated for a moment and then reached down, offering to pick them up if they needed the help getting up on the table.
"Of course not," she answered, noting how similar she'd just sounded to Kairi. Maybe she was picking a few things up. "Nana was practicing drawing with my new colored pencils."
>.>;; Sorry for my lagging. Major apologies! LJ for one had been very uncooperative with me.
As she went back to coloring her circle, she heard Woody's friendly voice closeby. She perked and turned toward his direction. Naminé answered his question as she stared in both surprise and fascination.
They're so...
"Wow, you're small," she practically blurted, her voice in a medium voice said to both Woody and what must have been Bullseye! Yay, they both came!
"Do all toys come at that size?" Toys were still a completely all new and interesting things to learn about. When Woody started to explain what they did over the journals, it tickled Nana with such delight that there wasn't even the slightest doubt they could be good friends.

“And you must be Namine, pleasure to make your acquaintance m’am,” Woody said with a friendly smile, he looked over to Bullseye and introduced his friend to the girls, “Bullseye, this is Nana and Namine. Nana, Namine, this is my good friend Bullseye!”

Timidly, his tail swished from side to side, wondering what they thought of him and the sheriff.

"Nice to meet you both," she told them with a nervous smile. "It's good to meet new friends, especially... if they'll draw with you."
She offered her case of pencils in case Woody wanted to try using them, too. She wouldn't mind. Hm, maybe she should have brought finger paints for Bullseye.
I CAN FINALLY GET BACK ON AGAIN! \o/ Man that was frustrating...
"It's nice to meet you face to face, Woody and Bullseye," she added cheerily. Fascination came alive in her pink eyes. "Are there toys as big as Naminé and me?" To learn about more and more about Woody, Bullseye and the world they came from would sooooo interesting!

Woody gave a knowing smirk as he peered over at Bullseye, “Hey, Bullseye…” Woody then whirled around pointing his fingers at Bullseye, “DRAW!”

He laid there for one a few seconds before opening the corner of one eye -- to see their reactions -- then quickly closing it to re-assuming 'playing dead.'

...And then suddenly Bullseye was lying on the ground and Naminé had no idea what had just happened. "Is he... is he okay?" She hadn't seen anything that meant he'd been hit, but... he looked... well, dead!
no subject
Nana watched with interest. She was concerned about Bullseye for a second--until he opened one eye just a bit to look at Naminé and her. Then Nana chuckled, smiling. Was this supposed to be funny? She wasn't completely sure.
"This might be a kind of game they like to play," she said to Naminé. Of the many wonderful things this world had to offer, she understood games. Some games she got into and liked a lot--but not all! Genie had shown her so many. She couldn't believe it...

Woody snapped his plastic fingers together, “Hey Bullseye, wanna show them another playtime we can do? How about we try the saving the critters?” He said pointed to some of the smaller crayons as the ‘critters’.

He turned back to the sheriff again and nodded so hard, you could practically hear the 'yeah, yeah' from his otherwise silent self.
no subject
Then again, her repertoire of 'games' was very small.
