Dear TARDIS: Where are we now?

Character(s): Donna Noble; Open
Content: Donna arrives to the city, and has no idea what to do now.
Setting: Near Muspelheim, inside the city.
Time: Week 34
Warnings: None, so far

She sighed, pocketing her journal. She really had no idea where she was, and all she gathered from the guards was 'Paixao'. This meant nothing to her really, considering. She looked around and walked forward, hands in her pockets. For now, she wasn't going to panic. All this was a new world, possibly a new time. Who knew when she was even. When she found the Doctor, she was sure that he would able to fill her in. He always knew what was going on.

All she wanted was for those strange blonde twins across the square to stop staring her at her. Was how she looked that interesting to them?

Considering everyone new looked strange to the natives, Suki wasn't that surprised to see the twins staring. She hadn't really made a habit of stopping by to welcome newcomers, but every so often she ran into one at a random time and figured she'd pay her dues of citizenry.

Today happened to be one of those days. The woman in question looked quite a bit lost, so Suki approached her cautiously.

"My name's Suki. You look a little lost. Anything I can help you with?"

Suki offered a smile in return, trying to appear as inviting and non-threatening as possible. "Nice to meet you. Maybe I can help a little. Are you looking for a place to stay or just general information about the city?"

Suki nodded, pulling out her journal and flipping to the map she kept there. "This is the city." She pointed out several apartment complexes around the city. "These are all decent places to stay. I'm sorry to say I haven't heard of a way to leave the city, yet, except for visiting the other floors, but that's not exactly what everyone's looking for."

"It's hard to explain," Suki admitted with a shrug. "I don't really understand it, but people have said we're in a huge castle. The city is one floor and each other world is a floor. Some of them are fun to explore, but some are really hard to get through."

"I know, it's weird," Suki agreed with an apologetic smile. "But I have seen a couple of the other floors. A few friends of mine made it all the way to the one called Spira. It's third or fourth up. That place is hard to get through, so we haven't gone any farther yet. Most people tend to stick down here. It's easier than dealing with the other floors."

"They're all pretty different," Suki answered with a shrug. "One's a beach, looks like an island; another's got Halloween Town and something called Christmas Town on it with snow and scary things; there's Spira, which is actually pretty and reminds me of home in a way, but it's got a lot of creatures that like to try to hurt you. My friends and I didn't do so well there."

And that was putting it mildly. They'd almost become monster-chow.

"I'm not sure about any others. I haven't wanted to try going any further since we tried Spira. It was a little too hard to get through."

"It's not far." Suki pulled out her own map and pointed out the church that served as a gateway to the other floors. "You have to go here first and then the first world, an island, opens up. Each floor has a doorway in another place. The island's doorway is in a cave and then the next one's in a tree. I know it sounds weird, but you'll see when you get there. Just be careful, okay?"

"We only encountered them on Spira, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are others on other floors," Suki admitted with a shrug. "Do you want someone to go with you just in case something happens? I'd hate to send you alone..."
