Add a few New Painting to My Gallery [Active]
Character(s):
sundrophair and you!
Content: Rapunzel has found a huge canvas to paint on, a wall near city hall. That lingering graffiti needed to be covered up anyways!
Time: Afternoon, mid week.
Warnings: Nothing so far
Rapunzel hadn't gotten a chance to paint in forever. She, of course, did not have her usual paint set made from white sea shells, but she had been able to find something to take it's place. She had practiced with the new paints on pieces of paper, but now it was time to put them to the ultimate test. Could they stand up to a mural?
The thought that she might get in trouble for painting on a public space hadn't even occurred to her. She'd been able to draw on the ground that day in Corona, so what was so different about painting on the wall here in Paixao? Besides, someone had drawn on it before, but her picture would be alot nicer to look at. So now here she was, all set up with her paints out, colors mixed, and brushes laid out so she could go wild.
She began her mural around eleven in the morning, and at about two in the afternoon she was still at it. The picture going up over the graffiti was full of colors and sun splashes. So much better than what was there before.

The princess was distracted from her worrisome thoughts when she saw a young woman painting. She'd seen Naminé's drawings before, but she didn't quite see the connection, as it had been awhile ago. So she settled for simply watching Rapunzel, head slightly tilted to one side.
"What are you doing?"

"I'm painting! I thought this wall could use some more color." She threw her arms out as she spoke, as if to display her giant picture to everyone passing. "Do you want to join me?" At the moment, Rapunzel's hair was piled up behind her, so as not to be in the way.

While she was at it, she looked at Rapunzel's hair. She had never seen hair so long before - not even Urd's, whose hair fell past her waist - and she tended to keep her own hair relatively short.

Dipping her brush into a teal colored paint, the blonde continued to paint a swirl in the middle of of her newest sun splash. It took up a large portion of the wall, which meant Rapunzel had to stand on tip toe to reach.
"Go ahead and start whenever you feel ready!"

She dipped the paintbrush into the white paint and moved over to the wall, carefully sweeping the brush over the stone with an unsure hand in the rough outline of a bird, its wings outstretched.

Giving a smile Aladdin approached the girls putting his hands on hips observing what they were painting, “Afternoon~ Ladies,” he replied giving his usual suave smile, then giving a whistle, “Heeey, I didn’t know you were an artist too Rapunzel. You remember me, right? Aladdin? So what are guys working on, a mural?”

The sound of a man's voice turned her around. "Oh! Hi Aladdin." Rapunzel indeed recognized him, but it was definitely nice to meet him in person for the first time. "I remember you, of course." She then gestured to the wall, "Uh huh, I thought I'd put something really colorful right here, and this girl stopped to give painting a shot. You can paint too if you want to." She paused then, turning back to Yorda.
"I never got your name, Miss." Her voice sounded familiar, and Rapunzel was sure she'd heard it before, but she'd never gotten a name to go with it.

She looked back at Rapunzel. "My name is Yorda," came the reply. "Who are you?"
no subject
Turning over to the girl, giving a smile, “Yorda? Heeey! You’re the girl Urd and Genie talked about, the name’s Aladdin! It’s nice to meet you too!”
no subject
The girl placed her brush behind her ear, "I'm Rapunzel. It's very nice to meet you, Yorda." She gave a little bow and then giggled, her brush slipping from her ear and plunking to the floor.

"I am glad to meet you both," she replied, watching the bow curiously.

Looking over at Yorda, Aladdin nodded at the mention of his friends, “Oh Genie has been my good friend for a long time, he’s from the same world as me back in Agrabah. And I met Urd when I came over to live with them,” giving a little chuckle, “Man she’s one friendly Goddess.” When Rapunzel’s brush fell on the floor, Aladdin bent down to pick it up for her, smiling as he handed it to her, “Heh, dropped your brush.”
Giving a bow as well, “Anyway, yea! It’s a pleasure!” Then turning his attention back to the mural, “So I was thinking about painting the palace I know about back home on here, whattya guys thinking about putting on here?”
no subject
And then to Aladdin's question she nodded, "That sounds fine! I'd love to see what the palace you know about looks like. I've only seen the one in Corona, and it's magnificent." She tapped her chin and then held up a thumb to the wall, judging their space. "We have plenty of room for all sorts of things, so just paint whatever you'd like!"

But friends? She did love those she'd grown close to dearly, but the word "friend" had never really occurred to her before, perhaps because she'd never had a friend before in her life. The glowing girl smiled at Rapunzel. "That would be nice. I think they would like you." Then again, Urd was a friendly sort, and Genie liked just about everybody.
"I am painting things from my island," she replied simply, carefully finishing the first bird. It was sloppy, but at least it was recognizably a bird - Yorda had never painted before.

At the mention of Agrabah, Aladdin gestured, “Oh well, Agrabah is a place in the desert, I used to live there with my friends before I came here. Genie used to live there with me too.” Looking over curiously at Yorda’s art, “You lived on an island?”
Oh wow, I am so much fail I don't even
While the other two exchanged questions and answers, Rapunzel listened intently and absorbed it all. There was still such a huge world out there she'd never seen, and she wanted to know about the places everyone else came from as well.

“Wow… Wouldja look at that,” Aladdin said admiring their work, well mostly the girl’s works. To him, his drawings looked like ruddy scribbles, but eh. Best he could do really. “It looks really nice!”

There was a happy peal of laughter from the girl. "Ooohhh, this looks amazing! You two did such a nice job!"

Aladdin gave out a pleasant sigh, “Man, I haven’t done something like this in a long time. It feels nice!”
