Character(s): Kiara and...?
Content: Kiara tries to finally visit her home, and it kinda all backfires. Thanks Scar.
Setting: The Pride Lands, then Spira.
Time: Around her journal post/after.
Warnings: Uh... none I think. XD
She'd just wanted to see her home, even if it wasn't really her home, but still, it was comforting to see Pride Rock in the distance. She'd been so lonely since her fight with Kovu...
Unfortunately, she never did make it to Pride Rock. She'd suddenly found herself surrounded by the creatures that had attacked Simba, Kovu and herself when they'd been on that island. She found herself chased back in the direction she'd come. Managing to get ahead of them briefly, she attempted to get help, but they suddenly had caught up. She tried to fight them off, but there were just too many of them. Overwhelmed she once more was back on the run, her journal left behind in the grass.
Finally, she was back at the door which she'd entered from. With the creatures appearing to be showing no signs of stopping, Kiara through herself through the doorway. It seemed like they were hot on her tail, so she made no attempts to stop by the thing that had got her there so quickly before, and instead went for the other door.
She wasn't sure she'd be able to find her way back if she'd even tried, by the time she'd slowed down, taking a few moments to finally take heed of her surroundings. It seemed she was somewhere that had been destroyed, and quite some time ago. She didn't stop long to take it all in however, not till she was outside the stone ruins, did she pause again to look back. She couldn't see the creatures behind her, but she'd thought she was safe the last time she stopped too.
Kiara, took the chance to sit for a moment, desperate to catch her breath and try to figure out what to do next. Should she wait to try to get back to the hallway? Assuming she could find her way back, or head the other way? This was another of the 'floors', right? There had to be another door... right? It would be going the long way, but it could be safer, couldn't it?
Not wanting to risk sitting any longer, Kiara turned to look at where the path would next take her, which appeared to be heading towards a large mountain. Maybe the door would be up there, somewhere?
Well, sitting here was just dangerous, so rising to her paws, she began to make her way along the path.

"Finally!" he said to himself when he finally caught a whiff of it. He got back on the journal just for a second, then took off at full speed. He wasn't going to let anything happen to her! "Kiara, I'm coming!" he said as he ran, outpacing the Heartless as they tried to spring up behind him. Why had they been able to keep pace with Kiara so easily if he was outrunning them?
He spotted something sitting in the grass, something that definitely didn't belong. He ran over to it, and recognized it as her journal. "...Kiara..." he whispered, eyes wide with fear. He picked it up in his mouth, and started running again. He couldn't stop to think about this, he had to find her!!
Not long after, he saw the door in the distance. And there were Heartless in the way.

Getting to the Pride Lands wasn't hard, Sora just took the Warp Sphere up to the proper floor. He braced himself for the transformation that would happen when he entered the world. Sora was surprised to find a swarm of Heartless right as he entered. He summoned his Keyblade (in his mouth) and started slashing away at the Heartless.

"Thanks," Kovu said once they had a spare moment to breathe. That was when he noticed the cub's scent, and he saw the chain around his neck. "...Wait, Sora?"

What he saw on the other side wasn't anything out of the ordinary for those white hallways, but the scents were definitely off. More Heartless...and Kiara too. He turned around, waiting impatiently for Sora to come out.
"She came through here," he called.

"She's here?!" he snarled at the Heartless, slashing at them with his paw, "Who are you waiting for?"
In his mind, his granddaughter was in trouble. There was no time to waste. Fur bristling and ears perked, Mufasa looked around sharply.

She just didn't know what to do, but she had to keep moving, didn't she? Just the question was, which way?

The moment he appeared on the floor he took off in a run... Only to stop almost immediately. They were all there in the hallway. Sora, Kovu, and an intimidatingly large adult lion stood on edge. Though Riku had already met Kovu some time ago, he wasn’t quite so familiar with the other. For now, he'd have to assume they were all together.
Riku’s eyes locked instantly on Kovu. “What leads do we got?”

"She's not in the Pride Lands," Sora offered, though that was a fact that was fairly obvious.

Riku and Sora showing up gave him a bit of a confidence, though, and he rose back up to his full height. "I think the Heartless chased her through there," he said, gesturing toward the doorway at the end of the hall with an incline of his head.

"Kovu... Show us." he ordered, his voice rumbling in his throat, "She cannot fight them on her own."
His heart ached when he looked at Kovu. It was hard not to snap at the younger lion, but Mufasa knew better. Kovu was not Scar. And he never would be if Mufasa had any say in the matter.
In this, he would - for the time being - trust Kiara's judgment.

He looked briefly to Sora then to Kovu. His shoulders rose again as he tried to sniff the air, but it was no use. No longer a part of the dark realm, his ability to track darkness through scent had been greatly diminished. However, the white floors did give one thing away.
Though the trail didn't lead far into the area, the hint of dusty foot and pawprints could be made out, slightly tan against the bleached ivory. Riku knew he couldn't tell the difference between the pawprints of the various lions... Though Mufasa's hugs paws, he might. However, one set of tracks seemed to be more distantly spaced. It could have been Kiara's but for all Riku knew, Kovu had burst into the area after searching the Pridelands.
Riku could offer nothing more than his help, and as such, said nothing. However, his gaze did go to those tracks in gesture and support for Kovu's lead.

"Hang on, Kiara!" he called, hoping his voice would carry to her.
Thread Split!
Riku activated the warp sphere, ready to start from the previous floor and start heading up. ...He'd haul Sora in by the collar if he needed to just to keep them going.
Re: Thread Split!
Riku wouldn't have to haul Sora behind by the collar since he was right behind his best friend when he headed to the next floor.

He sniffed to get Kiara's scent again now that their surroundings had changed, and threw himself forward with renewed vigor.
