For a moment, he just watched.

It wasn't that Hei cared about the person who looked like he was about to run off. He had another motive for stepping in to intervene; getting her attention.

His voice came out low and hollow as he spoke to the pest he believed needed to be dealt with. "This newly acquired taste for human flesh can't be quite as satisfying as the impala, or any of the other quadrupeds you'd normally see as prey." Interruption of course was just the beginning. It didn't matter to him whether or not he would strike a nerve.

Memories around a previous mission were recalled, long before the Syndicate decided to deem Hei a threat. It's interesting, and a bit surprising that having read up basic information on African wildlife while undercover would come to be of use.
