[Completed]
Character(s): Mao, Geoffrey
Content: Mao reunites with his
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Week 33, late night
Warnings: None.
He should have been happy to be out of that place. Just being there had been one of the most embarrassing moments of his life, and staying there for even longer than a moment... Well, he was glad the journals didn't have any video to take of him. He wouldn't go back for all the comics in the world. Not even for video games. Not even if the person asking pledged themselves to be his personal specimen for all eternity (though a combination of all three might make him think about it). And yet, he didn't feel any better coming out of that floor and back to the city than he did when he first saw that post from Yorda. He still wanted to hope that maybe, just maybe, this would be the same case as with Princess and Almaz. That this Geoffrey would be the one he put so much time and effort into perfecting: Geoffrey X.
But there was a sinking feeling, deep down in the pit of his stomach (or maybe just deep within his heart) that that wasn't the case. Yorda was worried and Geoffrey had mentioned something about making sure Mao would be a ruthless Overlord. It sure sounded like the Super Hero's goal to him. People had said over the journals that people they knew could come from different times... Mao just never thought it'd happen to him.
He had to see it for himself. He had to make sure. It was Geoffrey and the Super Hero and above all important. Mao wouldn't trust him. He couldn't. He had to be careful. But that kind of efficiency... No, he'd wait. He'd wait until he'd talked to Geoffrey himself.
He stood in front of the train station, arms folded, staring out at nothing, lost in thought. By now, most of the citizens of Paixao had left for their homes, and though there were some stragglers here and there, for the most part the station was empty. Hopefully this central location, along with Geoffrey's natural ability, would make things easier.
He should have brought his Slaystation Portable.

He should have brought his Slaystation Portable.

The old steward was thinking about using a train to get there. However, after these thoughts passed his mind he spotted a young boy wearing a red jacket on his shoulders.
Finding him was faster than he had originally calculated.
"Fancy seeing you here, young master."

It was strange. Despite his dislike of the Super Hero, there was something comforting about seeing his butler here. Mao wasn't sure he could explain it even if he wanted to.
Mao forced the uncertainty out of his voice and stood straighter. "The location of this train station made it a perfect meeting place."

Fate had smiled upon Geoffrey by sending him here. Now all he had to do was educate Mao into being a perfect Overlord, increase his evil reputation, make him kill a few humans at Paixao City and slay him right on spot.
His fame of being a hero then would continue and he would be forever remembered as the hero who destroyed the strongest Overlord in the universe!
Of course that would take a long time, since Mao was showing signs of regression. Really, after so many hours of lectures and brainwashing... what a disappointment.
"Oh? Miss Yorda spoke about me?" the tone of his voice was half-mocking... then he returned to normal. "Tell me Young Master, what have you been doing here? Have you been fulfilling your duties?"

"I've also been doing research on the various Heartless and Lumens within this city. So far my research has only shown me that the Heartless have no internal organs. ...I think." They kept disappearing on him, and after awhile he just gave up.

Geoffrey only had seen the city during the night so far so he wondered what it would look like during the day.
Geoffrey could see Mao well though, his pale skin and white hair contrasted the darkness.
Mao still maintained his bad attitude which was desirable for the butler. The last thing Geoffrey wanted to saw was Mao giving up of his original goals.
Furthermore, the fact that demon boy kidnapped someone was excellent! Kidnapping people is part of a Overlord's duty and tradition, especially when the defenseless victims are princesses. However, there was something that bothered him very much.
"I see. That sounds interesting. I'm very proud of you for keeping following a true demon's etiquette even in my absence." What started to be a compliment quickly changed for a harsher voice. "Unfortunately, that is meaningless when you are occasionally helping someone.."

"Besides," he continued, calming down a little. "She makes good cookies." Who could say no to that?
no subject
"Well, if it was a coincidence then the young master should be more careful next time... A kind reputation is no good for a overlord! Everybody will start to believe you are a weakling!"
Geoffrey was a bit shocked to find out that Yorda cooked for him. That girl was a complete ditz, always with her elementary school questions! She probably couldn't tell the difference between poison and flour.
"I'm surprised Miss Yorda cooks for you, Young Master... She doesn't seem to be the brightest person around. It's pleasant to hear that you're enslaving people but please, be cautious about choosing their jobs."
no subject
"She learns pretty quickly," Mao explained quickly. "Someone around here taught her." Whoever it was really should have explained to her that there was no need to ever make chili that hot ever but everything else she made tended to taste pretty good.
"Oi, Geoffrey," he asked suddenly, and with some reluctance. "What's the last thing you remember before you got here?"
MISSION ACOMPLISHED!
The servant was still not very confident about Yorda's skills. The girl could also possibly become a threat to his plants since, if he remembered correctly, Yorda liked Mao. The servants are not supposed to like their lords and even worse, what if Mao ended up to like her even a slightest bit?
Damn, get free of a delinquent, one twice as worse appears.
As for Mao's question, he didn't give any importance to it so he answered at ease:
"I was at the Evil Academy of course, young master. It's curious how I don't remember how I got here though."

"However, I don't know how to answer. How do I know that the time I came from is past or future compared to this city's time? Besides, I don't see how that could be relevant in any way." Geoffrey added so the silence couldn't take over him.
If this Mao was from the future would that change his plans? The young demon's behavior and looks were still the same... or were they?
"The temperature is freezing. Why don't we head to the hospital? I'm aware that's were you live... It would be really unfortunate if the Young Master caught a cold." The butler asked in an attempt to change the subject.

He turned his back to his butler, coat whirling behind him dramatically with the motion. "Fine. To the lab then. There should be a room you can use." Why was he taking Geoffrey back with him? Mao honestly didn't have an answer, himself. There was just something about knowing his butler was there that made him feel better, he guessed, even if knowing Geoffrey's plans made him uneasy. And if all else failed, maybe he could just do a little modification.

There was something that Mao knew that he needed to investigate further.
Why did he want to know what time he came from?
He got the feeling that this demon was different from the one he knew. Perhaps he was from the future.
"Very well. I shall follow you." Geoffrey answered. For some reason he could sense that the demon boy didn't trust him as much as he used to. It was surely odd and although that was in his plans, it was still too early for Mao to doubt him...
