“You’re early.” Genie replied hoarsely, suddenly appearing by the demons side. “And you didn’t even use the doorbell.” He pouted and closed the door with a sigh. Why had even bothered to install the thing when no one ever used it? Although, he had begun to suspect it was purposefully avoided due to the specific tune he had installed. “I had it all set up to play ‘It’s A Small World’ too.” Maybe he should have programmed it to play Carousel of Progress instead. After all, there really was great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day.
Genie wore a blanket draped over his head and around his body, which made him appeared as though he were donning some sort of cloak. Granted it was a very odd, quilt like, cloak but one none the less. He looked as though he had not slept in days, large, dark circles seen under his eyes. But the most striking of all were hundreds of bright red bumps which decorated his blue body. That, and the strange smell of orange pekoe which seemed to follow him.
“Urd said you’d be coming for a remedy.” He explained and pulled the blanket tighter around him. His voice sounded as tired as he looked. “Her room is just upstairs. I’ll show you the way. Oh! And wipe your shoes off at the door.” Genie scolded. “I just cleaned. Let me know if there is anything I can get for you.” He presented a tray of homemade cookies before Vyers with his free hand. “A cookie? Crumpet, perhaps? Spot of tea? Coffee? Americano and Turkish!” The tray magically filled with each item he listed off.
