Someday the Dream's Beginning Will End (Complete)
Character(s): Yuna and Hades
Content: Yuna gets lost in the Elephant Graveyard... /jaws theme
Setting: Pride Lands - elephant Graveyard
Time: Early Week 30
Warnings:....... Hades
Yuna hadn't made any actual plans to go to the new floor, especially not by herself. It had just sort of... happened. She'd taken steps towards the gate leading to the church... and when she next stopped to think about it, she was in Spira again. She hadn't really wanted to go through the whole place again. Trekking through the fake world she knew would take another week and she didn't want to keep Tidus and Rikku waiting that long. The appearance of the teleport pads was both nice... and a little annoying. With them there, her curiosity perked up and she wondered where they would lead.
Taking a deep breath, she stepped on the first one and told it to take her as far as it could. She opened her eyes again... and she was in Zanarkand.
Emotions swirled around inside her, threatening to burst again, but she shoved them down. They wouldn't confuse her now. Hurrying forward, she made her way to the door... and through it as quickly as she could.
The darkness of this new world she'd been prepared for, though it still unnerved her. Suddenly finding herself as a bird unnerved her just as much this time, but she managed to shake it off, taking a few steps forward into this unknown place. She probably didn't need to be here. It was probably really dangerous. But some part of her wondered... what if her father was here? What if she-
No... don't think that, Yuna. It's better for him not to have to suffer here anymore. Let the poor man rest.
When she finally turned back around with the intention of heading back home, she realized she'd wandered too far. The door was nowhere to be seen. Flapping her wings didn't do anything but stir the dust and bones around her. She wasn't used to the finer points of learning to fly yet.
Uh-oh.... this wouldn't end well, would it?

Yes, Hades had taken on the form of a vulture (http://www.honoluluzoo.org/hooded_vulture.htm), though his coloration was abnormal, and there was his signature flame flickering from the top of his head.
He stays hidden, fluttering to another branch.
"Look at that, someone is lost," he chides. "Perhaps even left behind. In such a place! At the end of the road?"

No... it couldn't be... he was gone!
Yuna completely ignored his chiding, going straight for the name.
"Hades!? What are you doing here!?"
...........SORRY STELLA.
"What am I doing here?" he repeats with a click of his beak. "I should think that be obvious."
Don't you, Yuna? Maybe he's just checking out the new floor, finding his way to the top just as everyone else. Maybe he's bored. Or maybe, just maybe, he's here for you.
♥!
"There's nothing I'll tell you." Or do or any way she'll be of use to him and she hoped he would understand that.

Despite the strength of Yuna's assertion as she fluttered backwards again, the whole thing was a lie. She had a lot she could say, but she would never say any of it to someone like Hades.
"Except for how much I dislike you."

"Yuna, Yuna, Yuna. Am I hearing this right? I think I am. Are you -" chuckle "lying to me. Me? Hades, Lord of the Dead? Yuna. I thought better of you."

"I'm not going to help you, Hades. And I'm not going to let you hurt anyone."

He clacks his beak close to her flesh and then takes to the air, resituating himself in the branches while his flames still flicker close to her.
"I will make you my puppet, Yuna," he drawls darkly. If she attempts to fly out of the ring of flame, they will grow to surround her. "You can count of it."
no subject
"They aren't here." Obviously. "I won't let you hurt me or them. And I won't be your puppet. No matter where I am."
Her defiance could clearly last until either he got tired, he got bored, or he killed her. She would rather die than become his toy, but she would do everything possible to make sure he never hurt anyone. That was all she could do.

The flames smother into the ground and pitch black, oily smoke billows up from the dust. A maniacal laugh tumbles from Hades' beak and he spreads his wings and bows mockingly, before he, too, is gone in wisps of smoke and shadow, but his laughter echoes through the dead and decay of the graveyard.
(( Annnnd exit stage left for Hades 8) ))

He was wrong. She would never be a pawn for him. Never.
