When the daylight comes [Complete]
Character(s): Gwen, open
Content: Gwen finally gets out of the apartment on her own
Setting: Porfavore's
Time: afternoon, week 26
Warnings: Post-nightly Paranoia? lol
It was good to get out and take a breath of fresh air - as fresh as she could get, at least. She does worry a bit about Laharl; after all, she merely left a note posted where he could see it reading "I've gone out for a little while; don't worry -love Gwen" When he sees it, he likely won't take it very well.
But... Gwen couldn't be in that place anymore. She had chills just thinking about Vyers, and she could barely even sleep in that room. She was exhausted. A home cooked meal from Porfavore's was just what she needed.
With the fog of the night gone, Gwen almost felt silly thinking back on it all, but by nightfall her uncertainties clawed right back through her mind. Maybe Flonne was partially right. Vyers wasn't who he said he was - he couldn't be! Everything about him just seemed wrong and she couldn't figure out why, just that she couldn't be near him.
She couldn't keep going on like this.
Gwen sighs and looks out the window, trying to figure out how she was going to deal with this.

Overhearing the sigh coming from the girl just on the other side of his table, he figured he ought to offer something he wanted himself.
"Ere the intrusion too rude to consider, is there something plaguing your conscience?" he asked softly.

"Though I bear no wise man's semblance, I would still favor to share my perspective if it be of assistance to you," he asked, sincerity ringing in his voice. He figured that his greying beard would be evidence enough that he was somewhat experienced in worldly affairs.

"Paixao has granted me a chance I never thought I'd have... to see my son again." She stays silent for a short while, a smile on her face while she pictures Laharl. "But... there's this other demon there and while my son says he can be trusted... there's something just... off about him."

The perplexity crossed his face when she spoke of her son's atypical character. "Fear is had that there is much 'off' about Paixao. The city itself bears a fog, literal and metaphorical."

She glances back towards him. She wasn't sure what this reunion meant, but she would take it into her arms and bundle it close until the time comes when she has to face the trials for her action.

"I'm Gwen, by the way," she says to him, then holds out her hand in greeting.

As he was beginning to move aside for her, he felt a need inside to speak his mind on at least one more thing. "If further troubles arise, do find me to assist you," he offered.
