[Completed]
Character(s): Sokka and Suki!
Content: Suki finds Sokka. YAY :D
Setting: Stone tent Niflheim-ish
Time: Uh. Backdated... sometime after Zuko came by?
Warnings: ...Fluff? |D
It was kind of lonely, sitting here on his own. Okay, more like a lot lonely, not to mention he was bored out of his mind. At least he wasn't hungry anymore. That was good. Buuut his leg still hurt. There were more down sides than up sides to his current situation, but there was one up new up side that outweighed all the bad: Suki was on her way! Sokka really couldn't wait to see her, although his leg was going to take a fair bit of explaining. Yeah, he wasn't looking forward to that so much, but still. It was Suki.
Of course, there was one other thing that was on his mind since discovering Suki was here. If Suki really was from the time of the play, that meant he still didn't know if she had been okay when they'd been split apart on the ships.
Then again, how did that work? If she was from some other time, how come he didn't remember her ever vanishing or anything? Maybe it was someone had screwed with their memories. Argh, none of it made any sense. He probably should have stopped trying to think about it, but he didn't have much else to do.
How many hours had it been now? Probably not as long as it had felt. Sokka had shifted awhile ago to the entrance of the 'tent' trying to keep an eye out for her, but it wasn't long before he slumped against the wall, dozing off.

So she'd had to ask Riku. Fortunately, he'd been able to tell her, so soon enough, she was looking around for Sokka. It hadn't occurred to her to ask where he would be exactly or what he'd be wearing so she could find him. This was going to be a little more difficult than she'd imagined.
"Sokka?" she called once she was in the area, shading her eyes so she could spot him easier. "Where are you?"
She sighed and sat down next to two rock slabs... belatedly realizing that someone was poking out from them... a tired someone apparently. Suki frowned. "Sokka?" She gently tried to wake him.

Lids cracked open slowly at first, then blinked wide, realizing who was there beside him. A grin filled his face. "Suki!"
He jerked up, forgetting where he was, bonking his head on the overhanging roof of the slabs. At the same time, he disturbed his leg, sending pain up and down it. The happy face vanished as he sunk down, not half sure whether to hold his head or his leg.
"Ow! Ow.. Owwwwwww..."
fffff forgot to track it /headwall
"Sokka? Do I need to get something for your head?" Like a cool compress to stop any swelling for a start.
no subject
"And why that is, is part of the long story that I guess I'm about to have to tell, huh?" he added, looking back up at Suki. Might as well get it over with, right? This wasn't exactly how he'd thought he'd tell her, although, not that he'd really had any idea how he was going to broach the subject in the first place. Either way, it would have to do now.
no subject
"That story can wait. You need to get somewhere you can rest. Don't tell me you've been here the whole time?" She sounded like she was teasing him, and for the most part she was, but there was also a small tinge of worry to her tone and expression.

"Come on. I'm taking you to one of the hotels. You need to rest that and a stone hut in the middle of the street isn't going to help."
And if he didn't cooperate, she'd just pick him up and carry him herself.
no subject
"That sounds good to me," he replied, grabbing his sword with one hand and reaching up to accept Suki's help to get up onto his good leg. Hopefully this would be easier with Suki than it had been with Toph, what with Toph being so much shorter than him. Getting to just here had taken them awhile the other day.
time skip?
Suki examined Sokka as he stood up, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and her own around his back. "If this gets too hard on either of us, I'm carrying you." No ifs, ands, or buts allowed.
Actually, if she remembered correctly from Riku's tour, one of the neighborhoods was nearby and that would mean an actual house. This was better than a hotel room. And it was much closer than the hotel. So she turned in that direction and started helping Sokka hop the right way.

He had not much choice but to just follow where Suki led him. She was more acquainted with Paixao compared to him, despite him having been here longer.

"So, you've been here for a while, right? Do you know of any good places to eat or fun things to do?"
no subject
"Er, well, not that long. It's only been like... er... I'm not sure," Sokka explained awkwardly. "And the thing is, I was kind of injured just before I ended up here, so I've been stuck sitting around since. Toph brought me here and stuff, until she took off. At least Zuko came and brought me something. There's apparently some kinda cafe not too far from here."
And that was about the full extent of Sokka's knowledge of Paixao. That he'd seen anyways. He had some of the brochures. In fact, he knew them almost backwards and forwards. He'd had nothing better to do.
no subject
"I'm glad you've had something to eat." Suki paused thoughtfully, still helping Sokka along. A minute later she frowned as she realized what he'd said first. "We can try the cafe sometime, but what do you mean you were injured before you came here? What happened?"
no subject
After that overload of information, Sokka paused, realizing that had been a lot. Oops.
"...Did you get all that, Suki?"

"She injured Aang, and everyone thought he was dead, which was to our advantage, so we tried to keep it that way," he continued to explain, pausing his hopping for a moment, as he was starting to fatigue.
no subject
"Sokka, are you all right? We're pretty close, but if you're tired, I can carry you the rest of the way."
no subject
He straightened a bit, adjusting his grasp around her shoulders. "Let's go!"
no subject
"Is there anything else I should know?" she asked as she helped him up to the door and possibly through it if he'd let her.

"Well, first thing after all this is we need to find a way to get your leg mended." And re-bandaged. She looked at it pointedly. "Do you want any water or something?"
To be honest, she was tired now, so she couldn't imagine how he was going to feel. "Are there people around who know more about injuries than I do?" Maybe she could use that journal thing to find out.
no subject
"Water? Water would be good," he replied to her offer, pausing briefly, then offering her a thankful smile, "Thanks, Suki."
Really, he had no idea what he'd do without her... especially in this situation.
"Well, someone had offered to come do some kind of healing, buuut, I don't know what happened to them." They'd never appeared or anything to help him, so he really wasn't sure what was up with that.
((ooc: lulz... we might just have to either handwave someone fixed his leg... orrrr assume it repaired itself, since in game is more than several weeks past this log now. lol We need something new.))

And for now, Suki would play the part of bodyguard. It was the least she could do for Sokka.
