Value of Friendship [Active/Closed]
Character(s): Simba and Namine
Content: Just a girl chillin' with avicious carnivore.
Setting: Jogo de Crianca
Time: Afternoonish (Week 33)
Warnings: Enough cute to make your head explode?
It had been quite a week. Not only had Paixao been infested with hyenas, but once again, Simba's father had seemingly come back from death. As happy as Simba was to see him again, he had a feeling his father would not approve of how he had lived his life without him. He went back to the park, though now he only went there during the day considering what happened last time he went there alone at night.
He found a nice spot to lie down in the sunlight. Sure, it was fake, but it was still better than nothing. He flopped down on the fake grass and rolled over on his back, looking up at the dome and letting his thoughts run through his head.

She was sitting down not far from where Simba flopped down, only looking up when she noticed him close by. When had he gotten there?
"Simba?"
no subject
"Namine!" He grinned anyway and ran over to meet her. He hadn't seen her for a while. "Hey, what have you been up to? I haven't seen you around."
no subject
But when Simba turned towards her and headed over, she couldn't help the smile that slowly crossed her lips, standing up to meet him. "I've been... spending time with friends."
It sounded so strange to say and hear herself say, but... it was the truth, wasn't it?
"Roxas, Xion, and... Kairi." And she'd had fun with all three of them, bunny-pouncing or not. "How have you been?"
no subject
"I've been...ok." His smile drooped a little, but he brought it back up. He sat down on his haunches. "My father's here now. It's so strange to see him again, but I'm glad he's here."
no subject
"Do you want to lie down?" she asked, pointing at a patch of grass nearby where they could both lie down and enjoy each other's company.
no subject
"You, Roxas, and Xion should come visit sometimes. You can bring your other friends too." Vyers and Timon would probably be against it, but Simba didn't really care. "You haven't met Kiara or Kovu yet, have you?" He was sure Namine and Kiara would get along just fine. Kovu on the other hand...He wasn't a bad guy, but he was awkward sometimes.
no subject
"Yeah. That could be fun." The question was met with a head shake. She didn't recognize the names at any rate. "Are they like you?"
Meaning, 'are they lions like you?'
no subject
He continued the conversation like nothing happened. "Uh, yes and no. They're both lions if that's what you mean. Kovu is kind of stiff sometimes, but he's not a bad guy. Kiara...I guess she's more like me. You'd like her."
no subject
"Oh."
She paused for a moment, contemplating what this meant.
"I never had friends before I came here and now... People seem to care about me."
It was weird to her, something she'd never really considered before, never had reason to.

"No one liked me."
The nuzzle to her should brought a smile to her face and she leaned against Simba. "Yeah. I guess I do. You, Kairi, Sora, Roxas, Xion... even Timon. You're all my friends now."
And that meant more to her than she could put voice to. Ever.
"Thank you, Simba."
