a little bird told me~... [ active / closed ]
Character(s): Kuja & Garnet
Content: Kuja makes his presence in the city known to a certain princess~
Setting: Actua Are [N9]
Time: Week 33
Warnings: Generalized creepiness?
He sat in a corner of the hotel's lobby, one leg crossed over the other knee, and remained there, waiting. It had been a few weeks since his arrival in the city, and now he was truly beginning to understand the mechanics of Paixao. It was simple really -- ignore the natives, and they seemed to mostly ignore you. It was easy to go about a daily routine this way, especially since having set up camp at City Hall.
But now it was a time for business. Zidane had been made aware of his presence, and it seemed that the blonde-haired trash would be as easy as ever to manipulate, so long as Kuja kept his true motives under lock and key. As long as the silver-haired genome stayed in his good graces, he was sure he could get away with nearly anything.
Reunions with old friends, yes, it was most certainly the time for it. And so there he held vigil, waiting -- watching, for a little bird to flit by...

As the headed for the door, the girl stopped, long hair swishing as she glanced back. She had the strangest feeling that she was being watched. However, just looking directly behind her didn't alert her to Kuja's presence back in the corner.
The young queen frowned, hands going to her hips before she shook her head. "I must be imagining things..."

Perfect. How simply wonderful! He couldn't have asked for a better cue for the next scene to begin.
Effortlessly, as though it was another gliding motion, he lifted himself up from his seat, and opened his arms, "Such a wonderful reverie it would be, were it a figment of your imagination, but alas... reality makes it so much... sweeter, doesn't it?"

Silver hair. That flamboyant way of dressing. The sing song voice that made her sick to her stomach. Kuja. No, he wasn't supposed to be dead... or at least she had believed him to be dead. Even when Zidane had gone back for him, she had hoped he wouldn't find him, there just wasn't any way she could forgive him, no matter his reasons for his actions.
Dagger's already pale face when white as a sheet, and she wished now more than ever she had her rod on her. "You," she spat, a soft growl underlying the girl's voice.

"Come now Princess," he reached forward, with the intent to cup her elbow as he came up alongside of her, "won't you join me for tea? Surely one of those quaint little cafés isn't too far from here." He flashed her a look, a strange gleam in his eyes. "It will give us time to... catch up."

"If I really have the misfortune of being trapped in this city with the likes of you, I want you to stay away from me." Her hands balled into fists at her sides. Even if she was quite capable of handling herself, she still wished Zidane were here to back her up.

In his hand, he began to gather magical particles into his palm, it was a rather slow amount but he made sure that she would be able to see it. "Unless you would like to see something happen to these lifeless, drones of citizens," he nodded back, indicating the the people surrounding them, "I suggest you join me for afternoon tea."

She was silent for only a moment longer, and finally she took a deep breath to calm her nerves. "Very well. I will join you." She clasped her hands in front of her and held her head high. If she was going to be coerced, she's do it with dignity.
"Lead the way."

Kuja turned to her, a smirk plastered across his face.

"Is there someplace in particular you want to go? Or are you going to be a gentleman and let me decide?" She hardly would ever consider him a gentleman, but she might as well not make him angry lest he decide to hurt someone just because of her tone.

"Hm. Yes, well, not that there is any particular place that suits my tastes here..." he waved off the question. He had surveyed the area before approaching her, so he was familiar at least with the immediate surroundings. If she tried to run, she would be easy to catch. If she tried to trick him and escape, he was confident he would be able to pick her out. "So, your majesty, shall you pick one for us?" Becuase, of course, he was a gentleman.

So instead she chose the opposite direction. There was a small shop that way too, but she had never visited. Hopefully that would suffice and she could be through with this. "This way please," she said, guiding him down the road to a coffee and tea shop nestled at the corner.
Once they arrived she motioned to the door.
fsdfsjdlskjdf this is so late im sorry kris.... ;A;
Arriving at the small shop, Kuja grinned, and pulled the door open, falling into a half-bow. "Ladies first."
I'm late too! ;A;
She was sure a waiter would come by shortly, and that she could get this over with quickly. Folding her hands in her lap, Dagger waited for her 'companion' to take his seat as well. Whatever he wanted to say, she'd at least listen.
