Content: Ed's bored and hungry.
Setting: Starting near the gate Vanaheim, but it will spread elsewhere.
Time: Afternoon.
Warnings: Open, so anything can be expected.



Ed was bored. And bored hyenas make for bad happenings. Fortunately for many, he was just running in circles to amuse himself. Shenzi would come with food soon, he was sure. He laughed a bit, and then stopped in his jumping to gnaw on his leg. It tasted good.

Shenzi knew that she must be getting close because the scent of fruit and trees were getting stronger. She let out a couple of loud yips whenever one of those humans came too close. Shenzi didn't like them. There was something about them that made her uneasy. "Ed?" She called out after a while, sniffing the air hopefully.

Ed barely managed to catch her voice, but when he did, he launched himself toward it, flat-out running. By the time he saw her, he gave some excited grunts... and managed to fall, head-over-paws.

After a roll or two, he sat up in front of her, and cackled loudly.

Shenzi heard him and took off towards the familiar yipping. She turned the corner just in time to see him somersault and land in front of her. Happy, she immediately pounced on him and nipped playfully at his ears.

Ed thrashed slightly, and then decided to use Shenzi's foot as a chew toy. Grasping it in his mouth, he bit down just a bit--far from painful, just putting pressure.

She yipped and snapped playfully at him before sitting down. "Hey Ed it's nice to see ya! Have you seen Banzai around here?" Because if Ed was here, then Banzai had to be too right?

Ed shook his head crazily. He hadn't seen Banzai around, nope.

Disappointed, she stood up again. "Alright lets go, we can't hang around here forever. Lemme show you the city." Did he even notice the City? She wasn't all that sure.

Ed leaped up and charged past her, before loping back for a moment. He sniffed at her shoulder wound, and then charged off again, in a random direction.

"Ed!" Shenzi yelped, taking off after him. To humans the city would be considered a wonderful work of art, but to Shenzi it was merely crowded and unnecessary, and full of too many smells. "Hey slow down!" She panted, her shoulder wound twinging as she attempted to catch the other hyena.

Ed did slow down....for all of three seconds. Then a scent caught his attention. His head snapped away from Shenzi to stare toward the city.

"Hyahyahyahahahaha~!" He laughed, and then sped away toward the scent, drooling.

Shenzi attempted to slow down so that she could catch him, but he sped off in an entirely different direction, causing her to slam headfirst into a human. He yelped and toppled over, but Shenzi ignored him and continued on her way. "ED LOOK OUT!" She shouted in alarm.

Ed managed to skid under the legs of a strange pink creature, causing it to fall over with a yowl. He yipped in alarm and skittered out of the way, probably scratching the human. He made a break for it, running blindly.

"Gotcha!" Shenzi yelped, tackling him fully and sending them both sprawling into the open doorway of a shop

Ed skitterd around for a moment, and then managed to wiggle away from Shenzi, and took off into the clothing store. The first thing he managed to do was get himself trapped in some clothing.

"Ed..." Shenzi growled grabbing a mouthful of fabric and attempting to pull it off of her fellow hyena. Unfortunately it wasn't the article of clothing that was on Ed, and instead it was one still attached to the clothing rack. She let out a yelp as the entire rack came down on the two of them and smothered them in tshirts and other human outfits. She snarled and thrashed, her sharp teeth and claws cutting through the fabric and getting her even more helplessly tangled in them.

There were shouts of shock by both men and women alike as there was suddenly a mad rush to get out of the store. One unfortunate person tripped and fell on top of the squirming pair, planting a hand on Shenzi's face and a knee on Ed's side.

Ed snarled as the creature came down on him, and he turned up quickly to bite the shoulder of the person, and hung on for dear life, shaking it every so often. He was hanging by that place with his body on the floor, unable to gain purchase, which made it all the more painful. The creature wailed, and began to stink of fear, which made Ed decide this was a good meal.

Shenzi snarled and her teeth lashed out of the clothing and her teeth tore into the side of the human. Her powerful jaws crushed a rib or two and she somehow managed to launch herself up and push their prey to the ground, allowing Ed to get a better hold of it. Their prey squealed by Shenzi paid it no attention. There was fresh meat to be had, and she was not about to let it get away.

Ed released the shoulder and cackled, before managing to get himself close enough to get a hold of it's throat, and began biting down hard and shaking. When something smacked down over his head he snarled, but kept his hold on the man's neck. It didn't take long to tear out his throat.
