Of Fezzes and Unlikely Friendships [Active]

Character(s): Pumbaa, Timon, Eleven
Content: The Doctor makes good on his promise to show Timon and Pumbaa what a fez is, among other things.
Setting: Starts off at Palazzo Townhomes; who knows where else it'll end up?
Time: Late morning.
Warnings: Look at who's in this log. Yeah.

When the Doctor and Timon had first spoken, they hadn't exactly done what was usually known as "getting along". They'd butted heads almost immediately, so it came as no surprise that they ended up turning a rather promising argument into an agreement to go ride bikes and try on hats. Honestly, the Doctor should have known it would have turned out that way.

He whistled to himself, in a good mood as he walked the bike over to the Palazzo Townhomes. He didn't have a bike small enough for Timon, and he definitely didn't own one suitable for Pumbaa. Perhaps he could build one, but in the meantime, he'd attached a trailer to the back of the bike so he could tow the two around. The Doctor paused once he reached the statue and looked around for signs of the meerkat and warthog. He'd seen the movie; he knew what they looked like (and even if he hadn't, he'd seen warthogs and meerkats before).

"Timon! Pumbaa!" he called, his head thrown back so his voice could carry. "I'll have you two out."

Timon did his best to ignore Pumbaa, going so far as to try and continuing walking as the warthog slid him to the back of the line. He narrowed his eyes at the pair, as though they had betrayed him in some way. As far as he was concerned, they had. The meerkat looked even less enthused after he received a scolding from the Doctor. Wait like everyone else? But he wasn’t like everyone else. Did they not know who he was? “But it’s gonna take forever.” he whined, drawing a long sigh. “I can’t wait that long. I’m so close I can almost taste victory. It’s just within’ my reach.”

For a second time, the meerkat tried to cut ahead of the pair, a look of determination in his eyes. “I just gotta have it!”
