Making New Friends [Active]
Character(s): Ventus, Roxas, and Woody.
Content: While waiting for Sora to come home, Roxas and Ven discover...a talking toy? Why didn't Sora tell them that was there?
Setting: Sora's place.
Time: Afternoon, Week 32, same time as Sora and Kairi's ice cream log.
Warnings: None!
No matter how many weeks passed, Ven still couldn't help but find it amazing that Roxas looked exactly like him. Whichever way he looked at it, the blond haired boy sitting next to him was a mirror image. He hadn't thought that something like that was possible, except with twins, and he couldn't have a twin that was born in the future of his world.
But if there was anything he had learned on his travels, it was that the wider World was vast, and that there was a lot that he didn't know. So...maybe stuff like this just happened, sometimes. And, if that was true, then he was very lucky to have a lookalike like Roxas.
However, though he may have been thinking about it a little, what Ven and Roxas were talking about while Sora was gone wasn't quite so serious. Not even close.
"Hey, Roxas. Have you ever had any of the ice cream that they make in Disney Town?" he asked.
What else would they be talking about? After all, Sora had gone out for ice cream.

"Disney Town? What's that?" Had Ven forgotten that Roxas had lost his memories for a second? Even if Roxas had, there's no way he could remember that.

"It's a world I stopped at while I was traveling. They were having this really big festival, and one of the stands would give you ice cream if you brought them the right ingredients." He smiles a little at the memory of collecting everything that was asked for - some of it was a real pain to get. But...it was nice to have something to spend his time on, when he just needed to think.
"Some of the flavors were weird, but it was all really good! They even gave me a prize when I helped them make enough." And that prize - which probably seemed so simple simple when they gave it to him - had been the best part of all.
no subject
"The only flavor of ice cream I've ever had is sea salt. At least...I think it's the only one..." He looked over to Ven and shrugged. If his double wasn't going to worry about it, he was going to try not to worry too.
"What was the prize?"
no subject
In a flash he summoned his Keyblade and switched out the keychain. The weapon turned into an almost comical tribute to ice cream of all sorts. Even the handle was bordered by ice cream cones...and the weapon itself was made up of scoops.
"What do you think?" he said, showing it to Roxas. Though, if Roxas had only ever had one kind of ice cream...
Well, Ven thought, he'd just have to fix that!
no subject
"It's...funny looking," he said with a bit of a laugh. "Those are all different kinds of ice cream, right?"
no subject
"Wanna take a better look at it?" he asked, offering the weapon to Roxas. It wasn't often that he did that. It was sort of an unspoken rule that you don't hand your Keyblade to just anybody, at any time. But Ven trusted Roxas.
"Y'know, one of these days, we should all just go out for ice cream - me, you, and Sora. We'll try everything we can find until we burst!"
no subject
"That would be a lot of fun," he answered with a small smile.

Tossing clothes from left to right, Woody didn’t recall if that was making too much noise or not, all he was concerned about was finding his darn hat. He’s pretty sure it wasn’t in the trash bin or under the bed, he already checked. “AW! Come on! This has got to be the last time,” Woody groaned in frustration trying to think of where else it would be.
no subject
"Hey, Roxas?" he asked, still looking around the room. "Did you hear something?" It sounded like there was movement somewhere, and...was that a voice?
no subject
"It's coming from...Sora's room. Wanna check it out?" Roxas grinned. Going into Sora's room was always something of an adventure, since it was always so messy in there.
no subject
Sitting straight up, Woody hit the bottom plank of the bed with his vinyl head. He gave out a groan and held his head, stumbling out, kicking a sock to the side. As he continue to look around the room more. “Oh that’ll take forever if it’s in his pockets, he has so many of them, well I mean the chances are slim that my hat would be in there. But what if it is… I don’t wanna look outside again if it fell out the window again. Did I put it on the windowsill? Ooooooooooh, this is ridiculous!”
no subject
"Yeah." Ven replied. "Lets go take a look."
no subject
He slowly opened Sora's door, and stopped when he saw what looked like one of Sora's toys scrambling about the room. "...Huh?"
no subject
Freezing in place as Woody turned his head, holding one of Sora’s chains. His lip dropped in an “Oh” as he saw Roxas and Ventus in the doorway. His eyes widens, pupils restricted. SERIOUSLY? Caught again? Dropping the chain, Woody smacked his forehead cause really the only thing he could say was this, “Oh no, not again.”
no subject
Not fully registering what Woody was saying, Ven walked a little bit closer, both to get a better look and to be within talking distance.
"Hey there. Are you looking for something?" he asked, in a friendly voice. He wasn't sure if whoever this little guy was should have been looking though Sora's stuff like that, but he figured it was better not to assume anything.

Pointing a plastic finger between the two of them, Woody gave a perplexed look, are these two twins? They must be, “Uhhhh, Well, I know one of you is named Roxas,” Woody said biting his lip, trying to figure who is who, “Which one is…?”
no subject
Of course, he couldn't be sure about that. But it seemed like it made sense.
"Now, start from the beginning. What does the hat look like?"
no subject
no subject
Giving a sigh, Woody looked down for a minute, “Ya see, we’re not exactly allowed to let people know we can walk and talk. It can ‘cause a lotta problems as you can imagine I’m sure.”
The cowboy doll cleared his throat before looking back up at the two, “So! Yea, my hat, well it’s brown and small enough to fit my head. It’s a cowboy hat so that shape, uhhh hand-stitched… I think that’s it, I tried looking around Sora’s room. Now it’s possible I might have left it in the living room we can look there.”
no subject
He listened to Woody's explanation intently, nodding when it was all over. "Well, if you don't want anyone else to know, your secret is safe with us. Right, Roxas?"
"Now, let's go see about finding that hat!"
no subject
As to finding the hat...that was gonna be a lot harder. How were they supposed to find something liek that in an apartment where Sora lived? "...You sure Sora didn't just take it with him?"
no subject
Snapping a finger Woody pointed, “The couch!” And the cowboy doll was off climbing up on the couch to try and search under the cushions, as he was searching, he gazed briefly at the two, “So you guys are good friends of Sora too? It seems that kid knows almost everyone.” Giving a slight chuckle at that.
no subject
So when the toy ran over to the couch Ventus did just that, lifting up one of the cushions that Woody wasn't searching under to see if he could find if he could find anything. Though he didn't see anything under the first one, he wasn't too worried - there were lots of places to look.
"Yeah, that's right." Ven said. "He helped me out when I first got here."
no subject
"Yeah, he's a friend," Roxas finally said.
no subject
Then the cowboy doll spotted something on top of the fridge in the kitchen, “Hey-wha-HEY! My Hat! …I think-I THINK IT IS!” And without a word Woody rushed over to the kitchen. He looked up, “How the heck did it get up there?!”
When Woody reached there, he gave a frown and slight twitch, “Uh guys, you don’t mind if you…?” Indicating to his slight little height problem.
no subject
"Don't worry." Ven said, walking toward the fridge. "I can reach it." He figured he might as well take care of it. It was either him or Roxas, and he was the closest to it.
He wasn't exactly tall, but reaching the top of the fridge wasn't much of a problem even for Ven. He picked up the hat, and in no time at all he was handing it over to Woody.
"There you go!"
no subject
He smiled a little when Ven pulled it down off the fridge for the toy though, glad to know that the high strung little cowboy would be at ease.
no subject
Tilting his hip, Woody snapped his finger, “So, how do I look?” As he straightened himself to look like a typical cowboy, he always wanted to look like Clint Eastwood. Now that was one cool cowboy!
no subject
"Looking good! Guess that hat is right where it should be."
