watching the crowds go by [OPEN]

Character(s): Demyx and OPEN
Content: Bookie attempts to do something with Demyx. Demyx is slacking off (big surprise, I know) and is mingling with the people! And by mingling I mean he's playing a guitar in the middle of town and getting dirty looks from the locals.
Setting: The middle of some kind of crowded area.
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: None for the moment. Except Demyx being deceptive and semi-sneaky.

Demyx wasn't exactly what anyone would call a hard worker. In fact, most members of the Organization knew that getting Demyx to any work at all was an achievement. This wasn't a fact Demyx argued- in fact, he took pride in his ability to ditch work whenever possible. So when he made his way down the Paixao floor, did he do anything like check up on people who were causing trouble? No. He grabbed a guitar and started playing on a street corner.

He had enough sense, though, to at least have an excuse and blend in. He was wearing jeans and a generic hoodie (so if someone he didn't want to talk to came by he could hide under the hood- brilliant, right?), and nothing on him was black so he really didn't look like an Organization member. Plus, if X-face or someone got on him about this? He was observing things. In plain sight! And getting tips! Who said he couldn't come up with good ideas?

Rory hadn't really done that much since he'd wound up in the castle/city/what have you. Explored a lot, tried to stay out of trouble, the usual as far as he was concerned. It was during such an exploration that he found himself passing by a particularly crowded area and noticing the guy playing guitar. He wasn't sure why but he stopped to listen to it.

It was a minute later that he realized why it had interested him so. This was the first time he'd actually seen a street performer out in the city. After the guy finished playing one of the songs Rory started clapping but quickly stopped when he saw none of the other pedestrians were doing so. He then sheepishly dropped his hands and slipped them back into his pockets.

Well, at least the musician didn't seem to mind. In fact, he seemed rather pleased that Rory had clapped. He was smiling at least which was good, right? Rory approached him, still feeling a little self-conscious about being the one man clapping. "No, pretty obvious, huh?" Not that he'd been trying to blend in or anything. The people here, locals anyway, were just so strange.

"Nice guitar playing though. You're not a local either are you?" He looked over at some of the locals, "Because you aren't really acting like one."

"Probably, yeah." Rory tried not to think too much about the locals. They were just, odd. The way they all looked the same, the way they acted, everything. Rory tried not to judge though.

Of course, he was stuck here. Rory hadn't really heard of a way out aside from just going to other floors. He was pretty content with this floor for the moment. "How long? I still feel pretty new myself," which reminded him that he hadn't introduced himself yet, so he held out a hand, "I'm Rory."

It sounded like this one was kind of flakey. Rory didn't mind though, he supposed, since otherwise he seemed friendly.

Rory gave his hand a shake, "Nice to meet you." When the handshake was broken he decided to ask another question, his hands slipping back into his pockets, "So, you do realize that most of these people aren't going to pay you for steet performing right...they don't actually seem to enjoy it much."

"Ah, I suppose that's true," Rory replied. There wasn't anything wrong with performing for the sake of performing was there? Still, Rory had enjoyed it and he was pretty sure the custom was to pay street performers, wasn't it? The money system here was ridiculous anyway. Rory reached into his pocket and pulled out a few gold leaves.

He put them into the tip jar and gave David a small smile, "Well, I enjoyed it. So here's something for you anyway."
