Quiet in the Library [Active, Open]
Character(s): Belle, open!
Content: Belle busies herself in the library.
Setting: Os Dias Sao a Noite.
Time: Morning, Week 31
Warnings: None.
From the very beginning of her stay here, Belle had called the city's library a haven. Neglected and generally ignored, the place had become dusty and musty. But with careful patience and the love that came from a lifetime of reading books, she had cleaned and scrubbed and dusted every corner. It had been a labor of love, extending over several weeks.
It didn't speed things along when she kept reading books she was cleaning, either.
She was doing just such a thing now, sitting on one of the long tables in the center of the room, her bucket of water and dishrag ignored in favor for yet another fascinating tome.

But the town's library had one distinct advantage. It brought together a variety of people, and with the demands of the city dying down for the time, it was time to see what all could be made of the intrigues of the city.
Of course, even then he wasn't about to show up as he truly was. No, for this it was time for Ian to his favorite haunts - and run into a few friends while he was at.
"I'd imagine it would be faster to clean first."

"It's been awhile since I've seen you. How have you been?"

"I've been well," he answered with a smile. "Keeping to myself, mostly."

"Nor do I think anyone would wish to be caught up in darkness."

Besides, there were books still to be taken care of, and he carefully picked the nearest from the stack.

Belle ran her fingers lightly over the cover, reading the title. The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James. Carefully cleaning it of the dust clinging to the cloth cover, she glanced at Ian. Her curiosity urged her to ask him so many questions. He was so secretive.

"Perhaps they come like we do," he answered, gently dusting off the book in his hands. "It would explain the variety."
