Finding Nemo, err, Asuka! [Closed]
Character(s): The Prince, B. Jenet, Asuka, Auron
Content: Jenet and The Prince go to look for Asuka who is omgwounded.
Setting: Somewhere near Vanaheim gate.
Time: Wednesday, Late Morning
Warnings: Asuka is bleeding! Oh noes!
The Prince was dismayed. Auron's sudden departure had shaken him. He knew that Auron had probably had important things to attend to, but The Prince was still sad to see him go. The Prince and Jenet had continued to make their way toward Actua Are, when Jenet received a message from a girl named Asuka. He had perked right back up again at the prospect of meeting someone new. She had seemed very nice, and he couldn't wait to meet her.
But, it appeared that her arm was broken. He wished he had thought to bring some tape or some glue so he could put it back together. The Prince was constantly running forward a few paces, before swinging back into step with Jenet, anxious to find Asuka. They were making their way steadily towards the gate, where Asuka had told them she would be.
He put his hand against his forehead to block out the non-existent sun. Mostly, he just wanted to look like he was trying very hard to find Asuka. Which he was, of course, but looking around with his hand against his forehead was sure to make him extra alert. At least, so he thought. Then, he came to a sudden realization. "Queen Jenet, what does this Asuka look like?"

Cursing at herself for walking so far from the gate, she grits her teeth in pain with every step she takes. From what she remembered, she was not injured on any of her legs, but her left leg is hurting so bad she is 100% sure she broke something down there. The fact that she is wearing a plug suit rather than normal clothing does not help the situation whatsoever, because she cannot examine her injury to see how bad it actually is.
All kinds of swear words in the three languages of English, Japanese and German were running through her head in jumbles. No, I must keep my head cool. No matter how funny and unbelievable it is, I'm gonna be meeting this Prince and breaking out into swear words at first meeting is not a good first impression at all.
Asuka closes her eyes, trying to think of ways of introducing herself to this Prince so that he would be impressed. Her right foot trips on her left and searing pain courses through her body, releasing a string of German swear words. Gah, forget it. As long as he changes my bandages, he can hate me for all he wants.

Having agreed to meet this girl, the pirate and the Prince headed on over to the Vanaheim gate where she was supposed to be waiting for them. Hands behind her head, Jenet kept an eye out for anybody who fit Asuka's description of being wounded, while the Prince just kept running around. He asked what she looked like, and she paused in her tracks for a moment. She could really get used to being called 'Queen' like that.
"Uhh... well... err..." Crap, she had forgotten to ask that about her. "It's easy! We just have to look for a girl who's really beat up! Yeah, that's it." Hah, saved once again. Clasping her hands together, Jenet got another idea. "Hey, you seem pretty energetic, right? Why don't you work off some of that enthusiasm by shouting out her name?"
no subject
They were coming up to the gate, and The Prince hoped Asuka could hear him. He was trying to be as loud as he possibly could. His shouting would probably have drowned out Asuka's curses, if they happened to be close enough to her to hear them.
no subject
"I'm here!" Asuka wishes she can shout louder, but she feels a heavy pressure on her lungs which made it hard to take deep breaths necessary to shout. Ugh, how she hates feeling so weak. She hopes they know a thing or two about healing wounds. It sucks being in this condition.

Scanning around the area, Jenet saw a girl dressed in red, covered in countless blood-stained bandages. "I think we found her." she said to the Prince. Walking over to where she was, the pirate spoke to her. "You must be Asuka... right?"

The woman seemed to be quite capable of perhaps tending to her wounds but the child... well, at least he is very adorable and he can keep her smiling. Asuka vows to herself that if this is really the after-life, she will live her life more happily than before. Hanging around happy-er people would be the first step to achieving that. "Thanks so much for coming!"
And being grateful will be the second step.

"Damn..." Jenet looked her over a couple of times, grimacing a bit. "You're worse than I thought. I'm suprised you haven't croaked yet!"
no subject
"But uhh... is this place some kind of after-life?" she asks, then clearing her throat before continuing. "Are you dead already?"

She scratched her head. Nope, she wasn't coming up with anything at all.
"Anyways, you!" she pointed at Asuka. "I suppose we'll need to find some help for you, right?"
no subject
Jenet seemed rather taken aback by Asuka's question, but she quickly came to her senses, anyways, you! I suppose we'll need to find some help for you, right?
"Well, yeah, I guess," Asuka replies. "Are you guys originally from here, or are you also mysteriously transported here?"
If the last thing they remember is a last blow or something of the kind, this must be an after-life, but if it's not... well, it's not. Asuka wonders which one she should be wishing for.
no subject
"How about you, we're ya from?"
no subject
The Prince found himself quite interested in listening to Jenet's account of where she was from. He was also interested in hearing Asuka's, but she wasn't looking very good. The Prince wasn't so naive that he didn't realize her predicament. Unfortunately, having never been in this situation before he had no idea what to do or say to help.
no subject
It was blind luck that had brought him back on his two little charges, who had doubled back to the Gate. Turning the corner and muttering all of the swear words he could think of in Spiran and Al Bhed, he stopped short at the sight of the unmistakable form of Jenet (who still reminded him of Summoner Dona with a more-tolerable personality) and the Prince, clustered near a woman red from head to toe. Not only her clothes and hair, but the red of blood on bandages.
Sake jug clunking methodically against his leg, Auron crossed the distance between he and the group quickly. "Heh. Guess I can't leave the pair of you alone now, can I?" He gestured to the injured girl with a dip of his head. "Need a hand?" The question was genuine, despite it being obvious and rife with sarcasm.
no subject
Before Jenet or the Prince could reply, however, a deep male voice interrupted. Heh. Guess I can't leave the pair of you alone now, can I? Need a hand? Asuka quickly turns to where the voice came from, finding her face to face with a rather scary man in red cloak. He looks rather dangerous and if she were to meet him in any other condition, she would have run for her life. But he seemed nice enough, offering to help and all, so she finds no reason to fear him.
"Yes, I guess I do need a hand." Asuka replies. "You see, my wounds are soaking through my bandages and I need them changed but I can't do it myself."
no subject
She then noticed the returning Auron and smiled a bit. "Welcome back, old man. I'll have you know that were doing just fine by ourselves thank you very much! How about you? Did you learn anything new?" Good, with him there, carrying Asuka, which was something they would probably end up doing, would become that much easier.
no subject
"Miss Asuka is hurt!" he said pointing to her, as if this wasn't obvious. But now that Auron was there and was offering to help, The Prince thought that everything was going to be ok.

He was a warrior, that much was true, but for the first half of his life, along with his battle-training, he had studied to be a monk. Granted, he was no healer, but the warrior-monks of Bevelle were at least expected to be able to treat minor wounds or at least tend to them until a healer was found. Lady Yuna would have been most helpful here, as she knew much more about White Magic than he. Auron had been surprised to find that he'd crossed into Paixao with whatever he'd had on him at the time, and this included the 3 or 4 Potions he'd been carrying during the last fight with Sin.
Yet he was reluctant to give one to the woman - as he wasn't quite sure if it would have the same effect here as it did back in Spira. Bushido was no longer a far-off glimmer of power to be reached when he was strained in battle; it seemed wrapped in a fog and further away than ever. Even the Magic that allowed him to use his Breaking skills seemed augmented and distant here in Paixao. Who was to say that a Potion's healing qualities remained now that he had left Spira? So many things to investigate. But first, to matters at hand.
Auron briefly and gently touched the edge of a blood-soaked bandage, using the bare-bones battlefield medic skills he had been taught in his youth. His dark eyes glanced at her face, nodding faintly in greeting. "These will need to be re-dressed now to make the trip. Once we get to Actua Are I'll bind them up better, and check for infection." Immediately he'd taken control of the situation. He wasn't about to leave some injured girl here in the street with a new bandage while he and his companions sauntered off to get out of the elements and get some answers - she was coming with them whether she liked it or not. "Does anything else hurt?"
no subject
"Well, my arm is the worst but my head hurts somewhat also," she answers. "As far as I remember, I was only hurt on my head and arm, but my head throbs also, for some reason."
It feels kind of bad to be listing out what hurts to the man, because he seems to be the respected kind of man. Listing out her wounds felt like listing out tasks he needs to do for her. She hopes he doesn't feel offended by it.
no subject
"I guess need to find some new bandages for her eh?" she spoke up. "I wouldn't mind having a look around. Hell, I might even search for some headache pills or something too. I could use them myself, actually."
no subject
He turned to Auron with a sad look on his face. "The Prince wants to help, but he doesn't know what to do." He had never felt so worthless. He was usually cleaning up his father's messes, which gave him a sense of purpose. Now what was there?

It is not just Jenet and Prince, however, Auron was so gentle with her injured arm that the pain does not reall matter. The fact that he was trying so hard to not hurt her made it all alright. This could hurt, but I'll be as quick as possible. Asuka nods in reply, gritting her teeth in preparation.
I suppose I should introduce myself, my name is Auron. He did not really have to introduce herself because she knows her name from the Prince, but it was nice of him to introduce himself anyway. "My name's Asuka, Asuka Langley Sohryu." She offers him a smile through gritten teeth, "where are you from?"

Going about his business, he readjusted the bandages, trying as such to use the clean sections as much as possible, as to not redistribute anything unsavory that had been collected on the bloodstained parts. He'd feel much better once they were all inside the hotel and he could see to this much more thoroughly. There was bound to be some sort of medic or healer at the Actua Are, and if not, he could always ask around. Securing the ends with a sturdy knot, he surveyed his handiwork with a soft grunt. "Those will hold until we get to the hotel. Can you walk?" He looked her over, unable to discern if she was pale from her injuries, or if the fire-red of her hair made her seem that way. She'd said her head was hurting her as well, so maybe it would be on the safer side to just carry her. Tugging on his collar in thought, Auron cocked his head. "Maybe it would be better if I just carried you." He grunted again, making a noise that could have passed for an amused chuckle were he anyone else. "I don't need you slowing us down." Of course it was just a joke, but then again, Auron's sense of humor was stranger than most.
no subject
"Huh, you're full of surprises, grandpa." Holding back wanting to call him 'Nurse Auron', Jenet instead agreed to his proposition of finding medical supplies for the wounded Asuka. "Alright, leave it to me. I'll get you all the things you need!" Walking away from the two, Jenet spotted the Prince and waved at him. "Hey, wanna keep me company?"
no subject
He caught up with Jenet and asked, "So, where are we going?" He bounced along to the side of Jenet, then to the back, then to the front, and back again. He was all over the place, overjoyed that Asuka was going to be ok and the he, The Prince, might be able to do something to help her.

Ah the young, how they would always believe what adults would tell them. "We're off!" Taking one last look at Auron and Asuka, the pirate waved at them. "We'll meet you back in Actua Are, okay?" She then looked at Auron. "Don't do anything weird to her..."
no subject
Those will hold until we get to the hotel. Can you walk? If she were back on Earth, she would have immediately answered 'yes' and prove it to them no matter how much it hurts. But she wonders if she can stop pretending here. Before she could answer however, Maybe it would be better if I just carried you. Auron grunts. I don't need you slowing us down. True enough. Asuka nods in agreement. They have helped her enough, so she should at least just follow whatever they want.
Jenet and The Prince had gone to get medical supplies, and despite how cliche it all sounds, she does feel a warm fuzzy feeling in her stomach at how eager the both of them are to help her.
no subject
"All aboard for the Actua Are," he chuckled, before plucking Asuka from the ground and settling her in his arms, much the way someone would carry an injured person. He was briefly surprised at her weight, expressing it with a quirked brow. "Just how old are you?" His good eye closed briefly as he snorted in amusement. "I've got swords that weigh heavier."

lostleft for him. This was going to be just like finding his father’s presents! The Prince just couldn't wait!He pulled himself out of Jenet's grip and trudged ahead. When Jenet waved at Asuka and Auron, The Prince turned back to wave as well. Then he was off, with no idea where he was going. Well, Jenet would probably be able to steer him in the right direction anyway.

That brought a smile to Asuka's face, "I'm fourteen! And despite how light I am, I do have curves," For all the things about her that are not normal, one thing gives away the fact that Asuka is really just a girl, and that is her vanity and also self-consciousness. She does have days when she feels like a cow, but the unintended compliment from Auron brightened up her day. She feels as light as a feather.
