YOU GOTTA PROMISE NOT TO STOP WHEN I SAY WHEN. [ active / closed ]
Character(s): Jecht, Auron & Yuna.
Content: A conversation with the fayth at the hidden temple.
Setting: Spira; Calm Lands / Hidden Temple
Time: Back dated -- between the events of this and this.
Warnings: Zuh? Jecht bein' Jecht? Auron bein' >\ ? Yuna bein' all cute in between?
"Oof!" He landed the jump gracelessly. The bird was still giving him a little bit of trouble. Even back on Braska's pilgrimage, Jecht had little patience to try and train the things thoroughly. He was clinging to the reigns of his chocobo as he straighted himself back up, looking behind him to make sure that Yuna and Auron had made it over the crevace with few problems.
"Just a little further!" he encouraged, digging his heels back into the sides of the chocobo and darting forward (and, you guessed it, a little off-course to the side as well). One could probably hear the muttering he attempted to keep under his breath.
Finally, he reached, the entranceway, hopping off of his mount, and tying the bird loosely to the architecture. As he stood there, waiting for the others to catch up, he found himself a little lost, looking upwards at the large structure. He pushed a low whistle out from between his lips. "Forgot how big this place was."

At first, Yuna had been reluctant to visit the Temple again, afraid of what she might see. It occurred to her that she might learn new things about this city if she went, and besides that, Remiem hadn't been one of the Temples destroyed by Vegnagun's decent into the Farplane. Or at least, it wasn't one of the ones she'd seen in disrepair. That had to count for something.
Sighing a little to herself, she gathered her courage and tied her chocobo close to Jecht's, patting its neck like Clasko used to do in hopes that it would like the attention. The chocobo merely eyed her, so she stopped and gave it an apologetic look.
"Mhm, it was always very large and grand," Yuna agreed, walking up to stand next to Jecht before her chocobo decided to peck her. "It's one of my favorite temples because of its beauty." Which was also one of the reasons she agreed to go.

All in all, Auron didn't mind the trek to Remiem. Few of the temples held good memories for him, but on the whole there were worse places they could have gone. Remiem was one of the few temples little touched by Yevon's hand and that fact alone made it one of the temples he could feel better at ease in.
Some grudges were difficult to shrug off.
Auron was the last to tie up his chocobo and join the others, his mind still on the great temple in front of him. Jecht wanted to speak with the fayth, didn't he? Auron wondered if they would even have any information. This place was made of memories. Of who, none of them had been able to figure out, but memories all the same. And yet a part of Auron hoped some answers might be had. Something to guide them out of the dark.
"It is... quiet," Auron added. It was a good thing. All the temples were quiet, but this was different: a quiet born not of reverence but of peace. Solitude as well (as was unavoidable with a building as hidden away as this), but not the oppressive sort. A strong building standing on its own amidst the many battles between Sin and summoners in this place...
There was something to be said for that.

"Hello?" he called, half-expecting to see Lady... Buns-a-mine, or whatever her name was.

She moved forward, towards the door, also expecting to see Lady Belgemine.
"Maybe... I should go first." Not because she was expecting different treatment. It was more that she figured maybe the Temple would respond better to a summoner, even a former one.
"Lady Belgemine?" she called as she moved towards the door to the Chamber of the Fayth. Maybe the other former summoner would respond to her.
sorry guys, crummy tag. ugh. DX

Once the Chamber of the Fayth was open to her, she walked up to the statue. Falling to her knees in front of it, she took another breath and did what she hadn't done in two years: performed the traditional Yevon prayer bow. The motions felt strange to her, foreign in a different way from anything else about this copy of Spira. She didn't like it, letting her arms rest in her lap as quickly as she could.
She also didn't like waiting, but she'd been doing a lot of that lately.

He stood just inside the entrance of the chamber, off to the side of the doorway, and watched Yuna perform Yevon's prayer. Auron couldn't help but notice the difference in how she performed it now from how she did before. Their journey had left its mark, it seemed.
PRETEND THE ICON IS THE MAGUS SISTERS' FAYTH
Then, as if finally noticing the others in the room, she spoke again. "Or is it that you have come for advice?"
no subject
"Advice, please," she answered carefully. "We have come to try to understand what has happened here. Why... why is this piece of Spira here and what does it mean?"

"In pieces and yet whole," she echoed. "Are we somehow connected? Is this right here connected to the Spira that isn't here?"
Or could they tell? Did they even know what was real and what wasn't? Was any of it real?

"A world torn apart by dissension and truths revealed. It isn't the Spira you knew, but it is Spira, nonetheless. A Spira moving toward change." The eldest sister looked to Jecht and paused and the other sisters followed suit, finally recognizing him.
"What is the Spira that isn't here?" the youngest asked. Something was wrong, they realized, but they couldn't figure out exactly what.
