The Schemer and the Keybearer of Earth [active]
Character(s): Zexion and Terra
Content: A new scent has arisen. The schemer seeks to find out to whom it belongs.
Setting: The day after this
Time: One of the various stores around the city
Warnings: Potential manipulation
A near-familiar scent in a strange city. Zexion would almost have called it a stroke of luck, had he not known both that the chance of finding anyone arriving in Paixao was based solely on random chance and that there was no guarantee that it would even be someone worth the effort. Still, that was no reason to take chances. The fewer chances he had to be recognized here the better. Of course, he rarely went as himself these days, but assuming they were related to the Superior it would be better to leave his more usual disguise behind. 'Ian' was too close to various things he'd been called. Better to leave that behind for now.
Fortunately, he'd long since arranged for a back-up plan. Thus it was that the person stepping out into the streets of the city proper was - or rather appeared to be - a pale young man with a shock on messily-trimmed red hair. From there it was merely the matter of tracking the scent back to its origin. It took time, of course, but eventually he managed to trace it to one of the small shops scattered around the place.
Not the first place he would have looked, but no matter. It was as good a place to start as any.

As for the matter of being stuck here? Well, there were only so many times Terra could try to leave, only to end up back in this city. So for the moment, Terra decided to wait, not give up, mind, since Terra was hardly the type to. But just wait.
So he was currently occupying himself by browsing a small shop at was near the apartment Lightning and Hope stayed in. His perusal of the stores shelves would bring him near the red-haired young man.

Very interesting. He'd need to look more into the matter later. After all, as far as he'd ever heard, Xehanort had never recalled his past and the Superior had certainly never claimed to have learned anything new, not that he'd really pressed to much. But given the few cases of Nobodies being born without memories of their past lives he's seen thus far it would make sense. And yet, should this unassuming young man prove to have a connection with the Superior he wasn't quite sure he wished to mention it. Not even he could tell what would be changed if Xemnas learned more of his past.
But that didn't mean he wasn't about to talk to him. How better was he to learn, after all?
"Finding anything interesting?" he drawled, letting idle curiosity fill his voice. It didn't matter to him if there wasn't an answer.

"Oh. Um, nothing really," Terra replied, looking down at the red haired man, "What about you?"
no subject
But for now, he needed to arrange for an appropriate first impression and so he arranged his face into one of mild disinterest and shrugged.
"Nothing particular. These places are a bit hit or miss."
no subject
That tendency had come back to bite him several times already. But the young man that was talking to him didn't seem at all threatening or suspicious,, so Terra's guard was down, so to speak.
"Well, it's nothing like I've seen back home," So he had to give Paixao that, at least.
no subject
But rather than give Terra reason to believe anything that what had already been established, he simply shrugged.
"I doubt it would be like anything most of us saw in our homes."
no subject
Terra broke away from his thoughts when he realized he hadn't introduced himself yet.
"I'm Terra, by the way," he offered to the young man.
no subject
Not to mention it very conveniently gave him a better mental designation than what he otherwise would have used.
"Call me Red," he answered with an easy smile. "Most people do."
no subject
Terra was never really one for small talk, but he was going to try anyway.
"How long have you been here?'
no subject
So he'd need to have the proper sort of answer. One that sounded plausible without being suspicious. So he simply shrugged, as if he hadn't been too careful about keeping track of the passage of time.
"Long enough to have picked up a thing or two about the place."
