Timon blinked numerous times at Wolf, trying his best to forget what steak was and even more so what ‘rare’ meant. Although, he supposed it could have been worse. Wolf could be devouring the entire animal right in front of him. His expression soured at the thought. At least Simba did not know about this stuff yet, or so he hoped. It wasn’t so much the idea of the lion trying it that made him nervous, but the fear of him actually enjoying it. He tried to focus on his menu and ignore such troubling thoughts until he heard his name called.
“Huh?” he peeked out again at Wolf, then the waitress. “Oh!” The meerkat dropped his menu and smiled at the waitress. “Cátia, long time no see! Bet you’ve missed me, huh?” Cátia likely did not but her manager surely enjoyed the money Timon had always made Vyers spend on him. He grinned at the waitress who presently wondered if there would be enough space at their table for both meals. Wolf was likely just as great an eater. “Hope you haven’t forgotten my favourite.”
