Hatred has many forms and this one is called Zira.
Character: Zira - open to anyone and everyone?
Content: A very annoyed and irate lioness makes her appearance.
Setting: Niflheim Gate
Time: Evening
Warnings: Anger management issues.
One moment she was congratulating herself over the first part of her plan, making her way back to the Outlands to lay low while Kovu took care of his mission. The next moment she found herself at... a Gate. Before she could register what was happening, something was shoved at her.
Instinctively the ill tempered lioness roared, clawing at whoever was around her before finding herself being.. herded through a gate. Seconds later she was on the other side, growling and pacing as the ... thing they shoved at her settled around her neck.
Zira was far from happy. Every passing second the new scenery and the strange smells assaulted her senses. This place was off! It wasn't the Pride Lands nor was it the Outlands. A brief moment later she let out a roar before lowering her head and growling. By this point several strange two-legged creatures had moved away from her, giving the angry lioness wide berth as she stormed forward, determined to figure out what the hell was going on.
She needed to get back home. She had to make sure Kovu succeeded in his mission! Simba will die and Scar will be avenged!

And not just any lioness. This was his lioness. His muzzle broke into a twisted mockery of true joy, a smile that held more malice than happiness. He got to his feet, and took his time leaping down to the streets below. He had no issues with keeping her waiting.
The instant his paws touched the cobblestone pavement, the crowds of people gasped and backed away, leaving now two lions with rings of empty space surrounding them. Scar couldn't help but be amused by how pitiful these throngs of creatures were, moving every which way and scattering merely at the sight of a couple of lions.
Though...they were well within their rights to.

Her King! Her beloved Scar!
Her anger fled momentarily as shock flooded her system. This couldn't be! He was dead. She saw his body herself. Simba killed him! But, what... how was he here!?
Zira shook her head and warily moved forward. The scent was right... just perfect. Exactly how she remembered it. Everything.. exactly how she remembered him. That handsome dark mane. That amused look and even that twisted smile. Everything she loved about him.
Oh she was happy to see him. It was all she could do to run to him! Yet she approached her mate slowly, still unsure if he was actually there.
"My King...? How is it you're here and where the hell is here."

"Did the man at the gate not tell you? This place is called Paixao." Scar spat out the name like a curse. "It's a human city, though describing it in such simple terms hardly does its wonders any justice." More and more, the crowds were leaving Scar and Zira even more space. The male lion ignored them completely. The scentless things were hardly even worth the bother of being used for prey, really, so he had never felt much reason to pay them any mind.
"As for why I'm here, I'm certain I have no more an idea of that than you, my dear."
Having Zira here was going to make everything here in Paixao so much more enjoyable. Though...he would have to make sure she didn't scare away his...acquisitions. She had never been as good an actor as Scar, and he was mildly worried that she might cause Alice or Wolf some undue concern. That was a matter for later. What was more important was that now, there was someone in this city who truly adored him. With Zira here, Scar was once again King, and not just in name. Zira, his most faithful and fiercely loyal subject. The most easily taken advantage of, the perfect lioness for him. Oh yes, Paixao would be a far more enjoyable city now.
Scar's smile grew ever broader as he moved closer to his mate. "It's a rather long and complicated explanation, really. Too boring to concern ourselves with now. However..." He took another step, bringing himself along her side. "There are some...problems, that we'll also have to discuss."
He wasn't going to give her time to remain confused for long. He had need of her for more important matters, and leaving her to wander around lost and useless would do little good. Especially if she were to come across anyone like that brat Sora. And of course, he didn't want her meeting Simba...

As her beloved mate moved closer to her, she focused on both taking in his words and noting where the scentless... human-things were. She refused to let herself relax until he was beside her. Then she leaned into him a bit, more to confirm that he was real and she wasn't hallucinating.
Scar was truly there. A pleasurable rumble sounded from her as she moved to nuzzle against his mane. Zira would do anything he asked! She would kill for him if he just said the word.
"What kind of problems My King? I'll do anything you want, I'm your devoted Queen and will be until my dying breath."
no subject
"The first would have to be that my brother is here. Alive." He paused for a moment to let that sink in. Zira had never met Mufasa, not that Scar knew, and he needed to make certain she understood the situation. "Very few here know anything about him, or about me, and it must stay that way." Rarely did Scar ever sound so serious, but this matter was a threat to his own life. If Mufasa learned what Scar had done--even though apparently it had not yet happened to him, it would certainly make this entire endeavor of living in this city far more difficult than before.
no subject
When he finished speaking, she understood just how dangerous it would be for them. If his brother was alive.. that complicated things. Still! She would stand by and defend her king when he needed her to.
"I will make sure no one learns anything you don't want them to know."
She grinned a little at that, more than willing to silence anyone for him. To kill on command for her beloved Scar. Though, if Mufasa was here. Did that mean that brat was as well?
"My King, who else is here? "
no subject
"You wouldn't know anything of a lion named Kovu? He seems rather...attached to her. He also seems to think he knows me, or that I should know him." He shot a look at Zira out of the corner of his eye, a slight twitch at the edge of his lip. The way he spoke of Kovu put the other lion far beneath him, as if the boy was no more than a mere stain on the bottom of his pawpad.
no subject
That stopped her in her tracks as she continued to listen. What did he mean Kovu was 'attached' to that pampered little brat?
"Of course Kovu should know you. He's my son. I raised him to follow in your foot steps and avenge your death my King. He is supposed to kill Simba."
There was an angry growl to her voice as she began to pace again, claws digging into the ground as her tail lashed back and forth.
no subject
He remained motionless as he watched Zira's pacing. "So, he's your son, is he?" He made a show of looking thoughtful again. That brat Kovu had already fallen in with Simba and his daughter, so Scar certainly couldn't rely on him. And how much the boy knew would be important to learn as well.
"Has he always been very loyal to you before now?"
no subject
"Yes. He's my son, the last born before ... Simba came back."
Her voice held so much contempt and hatred for that name it seemed to fill the air as she paced, her temper rising with each pass.
"I trained him myself to be the perfect killer and to avenge you! Kovu has always been loyal Me. A much better choice to follow in your footsteps than Nuka."
Kovu couldn't have betrayed his Mission. She refused to believe it until she saw it with her own eyes.
"What about Vitani? Is she here?"
Kovu couldn't have betrayed his mission! She refused to believe it. For now.
no subject
Nuka and Vitani, however, were names he simply often ignored. Neither cub had shown any real promise, and he had largely left them to their mother. "I haven't seen or heard anything about Vitani," he answered.
no subject
Kovu was her crowning achievement! Perfect in his training. Even.. if he was a bastard child.
"If she were here, she would have reported by now."
Her tail lashed back in forth as she snarled softly, head low as her anger bubbled. If Kovu was here, why wasn't Simba dead? The play was to get to him through the princess! Not... She growled before stopping.
"My King, where is Kovu."
no subject
"There is a way to attempt to contact him, if you would like to." Scar gestured to the box that Zira had been given when she entered the gate. "That box there will let you talk with anyone else who has one."
no subject
Zira nodded and got the thing off her neck and on to the ground. She just... stared at it for a few moments before poking it with a claw.
"Exactly how do these things work? "
Oh her anger was still there, but now she was focus. She would get to the bottom of this and then figure out what to do. She growled at the thing, more than tempted to break it. Wouldn't roaring be easier? The lioness took in a deep breath, not wanting to lash out at the only lion near her. She didn't want to invoke her mates wrath. Not right now anyway.
"I will get to the bottom of this. Kovu better have a good explanation or I will kill him myself."
no subject
He backed away a few steps, and left her to do as she would. When she wasn't looking, his smirked maliciously, expecting to learn any last things he might have needed to know about this "Kovu" soon.
no subject
Her entire form screamed of anger! How could Kovu betray everything she taught him!? Who did Mufasa thinks he was!? He was not her King, her King would always be Scar!
no subject
"Impatience will not accomplish anything, Zira," he said carefully, trying to keep from treading on her toes with her temper flared so high. "We will deal with each of them in due time. And with my nephew."
no subject
He was right, impatience won't accomplish anything. Her tail continued to lash back and forth. If she could bide her time training Kovu, she can continue to bide her time in reaching her goals.
Or more specifically the goals of her mate. Eventually she slows down and sits next to him and nuzzles his mane for a moment before shooting a glare at that... device.
"When I see that boy again, I will show him just exactly why he shouldn't disobey me."
no subject
As to how she planned to do that, Scar did not care to inquire. Kovu was her own business; he'd never even met the cub. As long as Kovu didn't join with Mufasa and Simba, Scar was more than content to simply leave him be. However, he would not hesitate to kill him if the boy got in his way.
no subject
She would make Kovu regret turning his back on her. Even if it meant leaving him with physical reminders as to why no one ever disobeyed her. As for Kovu possibly joining with Mufasa, Zira had to smirk a little. She doubted they would trust him after this little... explosion.
And if they did, it would make tormenting her son all the more sweeter. Doubt and distrust could be just as equally as good of weapons as claws and teeth.
"If he will not do what he was trained to do, then I will just have to find another way to accomplish our goals."
Who cared if her cubs survived. They were her tools to use as she saw fit anyway.
no subject
"How is it, I wonder, that such a loyal cub would have gone so astray?" A smile marked his question, his amusement with the situation belying his terrible disappointment with the lioness' failure to raise her son as she had intended.
no subject
So... that just left Kiara. Perhaps she should have trained Vitani instead of Kovu.
"He's not thinking how I taught him. I taught him how to be a killer and to show no mercy. I did not teach my son to go after a pretty female!"
She paused, growling a little.
"Perhaps we should take them down, one by one. Start with the weakest and the most trusting...Simba's brat perhaps. Destroy her and we hurt all of them."
no subject
"I do love the way your ferocious little mind works," he said, placing his paw under her chin and scratching there briefly. "And with her out of the way, it seems your son would be left rather distraught at the loss of his beloved." Scar's mocking tone left no question as to what he thought now of Kovu.
no subject
"Oh yes. It wouldn't take much to get him to blame Simba.. or even Mufasa.
no subject
His face became more stern for just a moment, and he motioned for Zira to follow him.
