Genie gave a small sigh. He knew Aladdin would say that. How typical. He was rather tempted to ‘catch’ him, if only to tease him, however thought it best he do so another time. That way he had the element of surprise and really make Aladdin fess up.

“It’s a surprise.” he told his friend. Genie wanted to keep this tournament well under ties and didn’t want any information regarding it to leak. And though he trusted Al, he was not sure he could trust the walls that surrounded them. Maybe he was being a little paranoid about the whole thing but who honestly knew if others lingered in the cave, listening to their conversation, waiting for Genie to reveal the details of his tournament? It was a little silly but only so to everyone who wasn’t Genie. He eyed the rock walls in suspicion before looking back at Aladdin.

“Those creatures are a tad problematic, aren’t they? Though, I wouldn’t go so far as to call the monsters, even if they have the tendency to act like ones.” The genie rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “I haven’t decided what to do about them yet. I don’t want to hurt them but I don’t want them to hurt others either.” He stopped and pointed to Aladdin’s feet, changing topics completely. “Aren’t you going to at least put your feet in? They must been aching.”
