I've Been Having These Weird Thoughts Lately... [Closed/Complete]
Character(s): Roxas and Yuffie
Content: In which Roxas has a bad dream and realizes something is terribly wrong...
Time: Very Late Saturday...
Warnings: None...
Roxas thought these dreams would be over by now. He was falling again through the darkness; down, down, down. He fell forever and yet in a second he was done. He fell to the surface of a stain glass platform. In his hands rested the giant key. He stepped forward and a dozen doves flew into the air. And then.... it was dark again.
A scream. No, it was more like a screech. The blood curdling sound resonated in his ears.
Again.
Roxas looked up into the darkness and saw nothing. The key in his hands trembled and he shook physically himself. There was a thunderous sound and he fell to his knees. The platform was shaking. No, it was crumbling.
Fire shot up from all around him. A great demonic and dark beast swooped down over head and Roxas fell to his chest. He rolled over quickly and looked up and narrowly avoided a talon aimed at his chest. The platform began to literally fall apart. The creature flew up and landed on another piece.
Roxas felt his piece detach from the main body and begin to fall swiftly into the abyss below. He cried out for help as the fire engulfed him and then.... there was darknes.
He screamed when he awoke and found himself again in darkness. Someone on the other side of the room turned on the light and he sat on the couch pale, sweating, and in tears.
"Something... something doesn't feel right..."
He looked up at Yuffie frantically and went into a panic. For a minute he forgot where he was and who he was; who she was and what she was. He couldn't take it. Roxas clutched his head and writhed on the floor. Then everything came back to him. He got up with bleary eyes and looked at Yuffie.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I... I have to go."

He pushed past her with far more strength that anyone - even he himself - would believe he could. He ushed the door and stumbled out into the hallway. He stood outside, looking back in at Yuffie. "I.... I don't know what's going on..." he said helplessly.
Then he ran. Even he weasn't sure where he went. All he knew was that half an hour later he came back to his senses and was running through the streets, alone and afraid, towards something he couldn't even fathom.
